Today Should Be A Holiday: National Past-Time Day

Full disclosure: I am not working today.

That being said, I'm glad I knew I would have today off. There are some 7 million people that skip work today.

Whether or not "my" team is in the game, I typically enjoy Superbowl parties. They are like neighborhood Thanksgiving. Lots of food, football on TV...Thanksgiving.

While I think we should all think more, I think there is a time and a place. We give our minds a rest from time to time to enjoy the trivial nature of culture. And to enjoy the company of the people in your lives.

And so, I wrote this article and added some other Welfare ideas (a paid Federal holiday would fall under the concept of Welfare...would it not?).
