Oh dear...

You seem to be horribly confused about liberty. Liberty isn't about "lifting the 110,000 cap" and taxing people more. I'm shocked that someone with the lofty name "LibertyBaby" believes the way forward is to raise taxes.

Liberty would mean no wealth redistribution at all. Not to the corporations, but also not to you and I.

Social security money has been funneled into the general fund; all of the money has been spent on treasuries. All SoSec has is a bunch of IOU's. Do you think the government is good for it? The federal reserve is buying a LOT of treasuries to keep the price up.

You only seem concerned about corporate welfare, and you miss the greater part of the picture. Respectfully, maybe you should join occupy.

Nobody ever talks about that,

Nobody ever talks about that, do they? Except for Ron Paul.

You're right. Because people are in a fervor, they gloss over the obvious: warfare cuts. Fervor produces miserable outcomes.

School's fine. Just don't let it get in the way of thinking. -Me

Cut off the Fat Cats?

Where would politicians get their campaign contributions?

FAT CATS

If you require FAT CATS to have a Political System.......then you have by definition no valid, functional system at all.

You have a system of bribery (FAT CATS).

Is someone calling for current

(or soon to be) recipients to be cut off?

one again...

Peter hits it out of the park with pure logic and common sense. Same goes for the other gentlemen who I don't really remember listening to before. Notice how the "former treasury employee" disagreed with the free market.

Who says we are supposed to no longer work at 65, anyways?

If I live that long, I plan on working at least to 75.

Not Everyone Can PHYSICALLY Do That

When people get old, they can no longer physically do the same things, or perform at the same level.

Some even get very disabilitating diseases, such as Parkinsons, or Cancer, or Alzheimers, or Strokes. These things are very common. My Father was healthy as a horse and then wilted away with cancer at 72 (young?).

You cannot possibly expect older people to just continue their careers as if they are 30-40 years old forever, and their Employers will lay them off at the snap of a finger, once they become unproductive.

Besides, Retirement is one of the attributes of the whole American dream in the first place. We are not slaves here, nor should we be. The Quality of Life in this Country being ripped away from us. Why do we accept this?

Life is about a lot more than just working like a rat in a cage until we drop dead. If you wish to do that, that's fine. But not everyone can. Many people simply physically cannot.

Jesus

Are they trying to make women look stupid?

Unsuspecting, willing, blind, controllable herd
Pawns in a covert game conducted by hands we trust
Dominated, compliant and deceptable
Confident that we matter - we don't see that we're but dust.

-Meshuggah "Dancers To a Discordant System"

With those two

no effort was needed.

Trying or not they sure suceeded.

I know there are some smart women out there. Can't they find some and put them on?

Peter may as well be talking

Peter may as well be talking to Edith Bunker.

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

yeah, I'm already 100%

yeah, I'm already 100% confident that I will not be able to retire. I'll have to make sure to not have a house payment just in order to be able to make a living as a walmartworldstoreofepiclargeness greeter.
