"I stand by my statement."

You can stand all you want.

If it is for the right thing(s), I am for it. If it is not for the right thing(s), then statements like that are meaningless.

FYI, because you still have much to learn: compromise is what got us into this sh|t hole mess in the first place. And you are still willing to compromise even more.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Compromise has it's limits. I am willing to compromise on a limited basis http://aynrandlexicon.com/lexicon/compromise.html

May I have a moment of your time here: http://www.dailypaul.com/273372/calling-all-friends-of-liber...

You my friend, are a creative one if I have ever met one, and a go-getter as well!

Ron Paul definitely did not tweet that.

It was a staffer. That said the responsibility for that staffer lies with RP.

There is a facebook page

There is a facebook page entitled, Am I libertarian? The owner of the page, a guy named Israel, claims he has a direct line to the Pauls. In a post made yesterday, he says he was able to confirm that both the tweet and facebook post were indeed Ron Paul.

Rand Paul is a traitor.

Kneeling at the feet of snipers that got most of their kills shooting angry civilians of the countries we invaded and occupied is pathetic. Kyle is NOT a hero. Period.

Rand is a good man.

I do not support or agree with his views. I oppose non-deserving sanctions. I oppose feinstein-lee. I oppose leaving options on the table which could lead to invasion (unless we are actually provoked or harmed).

If we sacrifice our principles and fail to educate, the Liberty movement, Ron Paul, our message will be forgotten. We will be considered a short-lived fad.

Good post, kozmoedave. I voted you up.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Much appreciated. Thank you.

I see Amash in your sig. Are you in MI?

No, I am not in MI. But I do try to see to it that Liberty spreads far and wide :-)

I work both PA and Ohio, attend meetings, Campaign for Liberty at gun show events, etc. and distribute Justin Amash flyers by the reams :-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Rand's press secretary's have you beat to Hell

Rand is getting major MSM attention, everyone is talking about him, and Amash doesn't stand a chance by comparison in a presidential election.

Amash is REPUBLICAN.. he is not going to compete with Rand, he's not dumb, he KNOWS he has a long way to go.. a very long way to go.

Good luck..

And prepare to answer: "Why Amash and not Rand?" The GOP wants to know.

i've only seen Amash interviewed once

but he was breath of fresh air compared to rand; there seemed a sense of honesty about him that i find lacking in rand. just an observation

I don't agree

Rand is doing more to bring Liberty to the GOP than Amash can dare to dream at this point.

Amash is doing more to open those who HATE the GOP, to the GOP, than Rand cares to worry about.. he's got Amash to do that.

We all have our roles.

"The GOP wants to know."

That is who you bow to.

But I will say this: When the comparison sheets are complete (by yours truly), and when they are spread around, well, I will speak only for myself: I will vote my conscience. By write-in, if necessary.

Btw, romneys press secretaries had us beat to hell too. How'd that work out for you?

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

I have never bowed to the GOP in any way shape or form. I have signed a loyaty oath and I kep MY word even though it personally hurt my heart.. I signed that oath and I kept it. I did not bow.

You have signed no oath. You have not campaigned or been elected. You are not an elected officer. You like to talk as if you have something on the line. You don't.

Romney's press secretary? Did he have one? His campaign was out of CA and most people have no idea.

How did that work out for me.. great; Because it made me all the more determined to not stop fighting from within the GOP to change it so it can be a liberty party that actually restores the republic.

Voting your conscience is easy when you have no strings attached and no one gives a damn what you do but the waitress hoping to get a tip for serving you chicken wings and beer.

Feathers ruffled again?

lol, well, your post was very amusing.

Here is what is on the line for me: Liberty.

Until you fully understand that, yes, you bow.

Good luck doing what you are doing. History has a tendency to repeat itself. Unless ones knows it well. Seriously ;-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Define Liberty.

History does indeed repeat itself. In 1850 California became part of the United States, before that, it was Mexico. My Church has families that were established in California when it was Mexico, their Catholic history dating back 300 years.

The one thing the Catholic Church makes very clear, governments come and governments go.

Perhaps your definition of Liberty is liberating yourself from the United States government?

"It's a Republic Madam, IF you can keep it". BF

Going.. going.. go go go (((((PAF))))) ne

Go tell your gop that if I don't find resolve to the above and ASAP, I mean NOW, I will NEVER support their candidate(s). If by you signing a pledge or you feel the need to compromise and don't wish to hurt their precious feelings, GIVE THEM MY NUMBER. I will be HAPPY to oblige.

Work in my area is in progress to little avail. It is 'compromising' gop across this nation that has screwed up this Republic.

Meetings are open to the public.

I'll go...

but only if you buy me wings and beer. It is a long way to Cali and I will be hungry.

and Rand continues to

expose his path. WAR. It will never end in the Middle East thanks to guys like Rand that use the Liberty movement to get elected and promptly turn their backs on the VERY CLEAR pro-peace stance the movement embraces. Of course perpetual war WILL cause the loss of our civil liberties, etc. All the other stuff Rand pretends to care about.

Well, that makes a nice "contrast and compare"

While I disagree with Ron's PTSD comment, I disagree with Rand's comment from the very center of my soul.
Kyle was - as I stated in the other thread, neither hero nor villain. He WAS a man getting paid to do a job and he was very god at it. The fact that this society finds that "heroic" gets right to the very core of what is wrong with us as a society.
I think I am all done even playing "brownie games" with Rand. He just keeps going from bad to worse, with only the occasional show of character.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Why Ron Paul doesn't care what anyone thinks about his tweet

explained in 8 seconds:

Don't feed the pandas. Ever.

If you don't care what anybody thinks...

...why would you tweet at all? Why communicate at all?

Rand Paul: Every Government Worker in Uniform is a Hero
Posted by Ryan W. McMaken on February 4, 2013 10:04 PM
Following Ron Paul's truth-telling about the tragic outcomes that are sure to come from time spent in a military where rape, suicide, domestic abuse and general killing are widespread, Sen. Rand Paul immediately took the easy way out and declared that “Chris Kyle was a hero like all Americans who don the uniform to defend our country," [Emphasis mine.]

Yes, every American soldier is a hero, just like the Bronze-Star-winning Timothy McVeigh and the Marine Lee Harvey Oswald. And don't forget all the heroes at Mai Lai.

"The Army," McVeigh said "taught him how to switch off his emotions."

Now, I'm not claiming that all or even most soldiers are like Timothy McVeigh, but to claim, as Rand Paul has done, that every soldier is a hero, is contemptible and shows a probably-invincible ignorance of history. Rand Paul, however, whose full time job now seems to be pandering to neocons shouldn't fear that his words will be examined for every possible meaning, as is the case with his father's tweets. No, as long as one errs on the side of sycophantic praise of the government in the form of its armed agents, then all is fine.

I know one "hero"

who joined because it was that or go to prison. He has gone on to prove beyond any doubt that he is a vindictive, hate-filled person, but does it all so sweetly... He is truly a sociopath. No, not every soldier is, but none of them are heroes. They VOLUNTARILY took a job to go kill people for money. "Defending freedom" is OBVIOUSLY NOT what they do.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

putting on a uniform makes one a hero?

Rand has very low standards for herodom. It is one thing to appropriately send condolences to the family. It is quite another to take the opportunity to participate in some shameless pandering.

Did you put on a uniform?
