Nevada GOP dismisses Ron Paul complaint

Wow. Just… wow.
“We would hope that the Paul campaign would go act like adults and not try to set up straw men to make up for their lack of organizing,” said Steve Wark, a caucus spokesman.
This is the Nevada GOP’s response to their own massive and appalling ineptitude?
Wark is responding to this official press release from the Paul campaign:
Nevada GOP Caucus in Chaos
January 18, 2008 3:10 pm EST
ARLINGTON, VIRGINIA – Today, the Ron Paul 2008 campaign is calling on the Nevada State Republican Party to re-examine multiple inconsistencies in the Nevada Caucus process, and to consider postponing the caucus, which is scheduled for Saturday, January 19.
“The inconsistencies, errors and multiple changes in the rules reek of playing politics with the what should be a neutral process,” said Ron Paul 2008 campaign manager Lew Moore. “The people of Nevada deserve to know exactly what the rules are and to know that those rules are being fairly enforced. This has not happened up to this point, and the caucus appears to be in chaos.”
The problem of multiple rule changes is being compounded by other inconsistencies and errors in the process. Many Nevada Republicans have received postcards with incorrect information about their caucus location, and the Nevada GOP website had incorrect caucus locations listed as late as Wednesday, January 16.
Additionally, one or more county chairs have expressed concerns over an insufficient number of ballots, and the Ron Paul campaign has heard reports that rural counties are short of ballots, while Clark County precincts were given what is regarded as far too many ballots.
The Ron Paul campaign has learned that the Nevada Republican Party has changed the rules for eligibility requirements for caucusing three times since January 9. Last summer when the January 19 caucus was set, the Nevada GOP announced that caucus would be closed and only for Republicans who had registered by December 19.
On January 10, 2008, a caucus director for the Nevada Republican Party reversed the earlier policy and anounced a new standard by stating that any person who asserts that they are a registered Republican in the precinct but cannot be found in the voter rolls that the Republican party has, would be able to participate if they signed an affidavit attesting to the fact that they were a registered Republican. Then, on January 15 the Ron Paul campaign received communication from the state party that the affidavits would not be used.
However, on January 17 the policy was changed for a third time, as the state party announced that affidavits would be in use throughout the state, subject to the discretion of county central committees and chairs.
The Nevada Republican Party is changing the rules from week to week, and currently the rules will not even be uniform across the state, as eligibility rules may differ from county to county.
Given the caucus location confusion – with potential caucus participants not knowing where to go – and the new rule effectively allowing anyone to get a ballot, the Ron Paul campaign is concerned that the confusion surrounding the caucus will both disenfranchise voters and make the election particularly susceptible to vote fraud.

Mr Wark should get some emails from us.
His response is anything but professional, civil or reasonable!

Only Paul and Romney are in the running in Nevada so
... since the GOP was only backing Romney as a rouse to give Giuliani an edge, they have now decided to screw both Paul and Romney.
Romney was never going to win (Mormon), but the GOP had to appear "open-minded" and their goal was always to get Rudy elected.
Huckabee then came along and fell in lock-step with the GOP and took Romney's fan-fare away, and now that Rudy has royally screwed up, they are using Huckabee as a ruse to get the other war-monger, McCain elected.
The GOP didn't like McCain because they feared that his pro-Amnesty agenda would lose them votes. That hasn't happened, and all the true Conservatives have gone over to Ron Paul.
The GOP fears Paul and now knows that Americans are truly stupid, so McCain is now their man.

I may be a vegetarian, but I'll defend to the death my right to eat meat!
By allowing non-Republicans to vote...
The GOP is hoping that the large Latino population in Nevada will cross the line and vote for McCain.
I just realized this because on Lou Dobbs the Latino guy pointed out that many Latinos like Democrats but also like McCain, but they do no like that the Dems take their vote for granted. So, it could be that they will just get back at Hillary by voting McCain.
After the MSNBC debate the Latino in the focus group said that Latinos were for Hillary for "obvious reasons." He wouldn't say that Latinos won't vote for a black guy, even when the reporter and a black woman tried to get it out of him.
But now Obama's campaign put out an add saying that Clinton was trying to stop Latino workers from voting by filing the lawsuit against Casino Caucuses.
So, this is a brilliant move on the GOP's side.
However, there should be absolute deadlines beyond which election rules CANNOT be changed.
This entire country is a SHAM!

What if lots of people from
What if lots of people from border states decide to go and vote for RP and he actually does win the primary with an overwhelming victory? The establishment may get pissed and call for their own recount.
Ordinarily, I would tell
Ordinarily, I would tell everyone to play by the rules. But in this case, I say fuck 'em. If you live in a neighboring state and you want to show your support for RP, travel on over to Nevada and show that support. If it's fair for them to stack the deck for the other 5 candidates, then it's fair to stack the deck for ours.
Hey guys, pick an address, say you just moved to the state, and sign the stupid affidavit. Done.
Get Up Stand Up!
No other time in my life have I felt such evil. I've never felt such despair. I've never felt more cheated or disrespected.
I remember my Mother telling me that "Life isn't fair". This is the mantra of the deceived. My Mother has since woken, but still she feels there is nothing that can be done. But, I do believe TRUTH is the key. It's one thing that resonates with the masses. It's one thing that makes the World beautiful. In this time, I'm not sure what I know, what to think, and where I am going. This is definitely the age of MISinformation.
I'm addicted to Ron Paul and his message. It's is not just a political stance or a few ideas, it is a paradigm shift. People fail to see that. They think this is just another pandering liar. These are the times, this is our chance, and this will be their demise. But, if you do not fight for freedom, this is our end. Get up, Stand up! Do your part. Use that anger for good. Channel it and make a difference, even if it's only one person's life.
Let me give you a tip on what to do

It sounds to me like he
It sounds to me like he spilled the beans. Does Stark know something we don't as to the outcome? Setting up a straw man for lack of organization? As in blaming a (predetermined fraudulent) loss on the NV GOP's lack of organization?
Why do we let the g-ddamned idiots characterize everything? Maybe we should start decorating lamp posts with these self appointed dictators and then they might get the message that freedom is on the march and they are not going to stop it even with there cheating and dirty tricks.

Ok so all our supporters in
Ok so all our supporters in California, Utah, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona should drive to Nevada tomorrow and caucus for Ron Paul.... just sign the affidavit..
Do that! LOL - "VOTER BOMB" strike for representative democracy
Maybe RP supporters can effectively double NV's population for the primary.
That way, instead of dropping two zeros when they manipulate the vote count, they'll have to drop three zeros.

Lots of hokey stuff going on with the GOP in Northern Nevada, but we're coming prepared with plenty of cameras to catch anything funny tomorrow morning :)
so lets see if i have this right
If I'm on the voter rolls, I can only vote at my caucus site. If I'm NOT on the voter rolls I can vote at any caucus site, and then go vote at another one or two
Not quite
The caucus chair decides or takes a vote on when to lock the door. The meeting would have to be restarted in order to allow more people in. I'm going to count hands at 9:00 AM on the nose and hopefully shut the doors ASAP. In my experience, most Ron Paul people are always early and are excited about this. This being said, I'm bringing my video camera. I won't lose my precinct to shenanigans without documenting it.

He has worked in the past for National Republican Senatorial Committee as well as successful congressional and gubernatorial races in Nevada and California and scores of state legislative races. Over the last ten years he has used these skills to represent physicians and the medical community in a number of different legislative battles concerning tort reform. Steve Wark has combined all of these unique skills and experiences to position his clients in the medical profession for their future in the medial spa industry. If Wark is such a genius at running races, then why the current fiasco in NV? I find it hard to attribute such massive ineptitude (not to mention chutzpah) to innocent human error in spite of the best of intentions.
Yes, by all means DO be polite and DON'T be abusive. But do let him know the unvarnished truth. If he is going to make claims like the above then let him take responsibility for this fiasco instead of blaming Dr. Paul for Wark's own ineptness, and the ineptness of people working together with him.

Also...
It would be almost mandatory to cite where you heard Wark's disparaging comment boston.com---so GOP knows you are not making Wark's comment up.
And, it would be helpful to even provide them that link (see below down on thread). Seems, the real issue is the known chaos primarily--and ignoring chaos and RP, and then the disparaging comments on RP.
Please consider, not emailing this Wark though---unless one verifies his contact info. You could be emailing the wrong Wark!
Thanks for above pajeff2 on GOP email.
I SENT THE EMAIL
Directly to the Nevada GOP, not anyone person..In the email I put a copy of the exact quote..Explained to them that the NH GOP stood up for us and that we expected them to do the same and not make childish comments about one of their party's candidates campaign..If I get a response I will post it...
Please...
Don't go off again...doing stupid things.
1) You don't even know if this is the right guy (direct mailer or GOP spokesman).
2) If you locate the real Wark--don't write a stupid letter like the below...voice a respectful, but firm letter. Remember, you represent RP.
Ya'll see that article that made the MSM on NH and RP people out their 'threatening' the town clerk.
Use your heads for once. What is with this MOB MENTALITY anyway?
Sounds like the perfect way
Sounds like the perfect way to get illegal aliens to vote. Perhaps Romney is planning on bringing in bus loads of them to the correct caucus address while Paul's people are waiting at the old location. Business as usual in the GOP
I wrote this to him, though I am not sure if I would even be
able to do what I said. lol
"You should be ashamed of this mockery of a caucus. Luckily I live in Western California, so I will be sure to drive out tomorrow to vote in your laughable caucus. It is nice to be able to have my vote counted twice in such a critical election cycle. So in the end, I thank you for allowing my wife and I be four people instead of two."

Sorry...
to be the bearer of more bad news, but the GOP is not RP's friend.
Just think MSM mindset--and you will get an idea of GOP locals who run the election shows too. Locals are ate up with chronism, favoritism, and elections being controlled for decades. They oppose RP and his message as much as the 5 clowns in the debates ....who laughed at RP repeatedly. GOP locals mock him too. Thus, the GOP head comments bashing RP.
The GOP is just entrenched with the establishment candidates and their message--they reject RP and his message.
unbelievable....
Even if, for the pure sake of argument, that a campaign is disorganized (and I am NOT saying that at all), this Wark guy's response to the complaint was, at an absolute minimum blatantly unprofessional, arrogant and condenscending. I can't think of another instance in decades of watching politics where a GOP or DEM spokesperson responded like that to a charge of whatever. Sure, often charges are simply dismissed or someone says they'll look into it or whatever blather, but this guy takes the cake.
I sure hope there is a lawyer or two in Nevada who might provide some assistance. A filing for an emergency injunction against the caucuses tomorrow could be a tactic and I believe such a filing can be done anytime if you can wake up a judge. The campaign cannot permit that sort of response, much less illegal tactics.
Thankfully, such a comment becomes evidence of bias in a legal proceeding, especially if there is also evidence of actual wrongdoing in the organization.

New Video for RP
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sm1mjufSutM
Can we film?
Is it possible to film the caucuses? If it is not illegal to do so, I would encourage every precinct to record the proceedings as evidence.
Whatever we do, we should not shuttle in voters and sink to Romney's level, but if we have proof of him stacking the deck, that can be used against him when he is taken to court.
Keep our heads and document everything we see -- especially with video if possible.
Also, make sure to call everyone you know who supports Ron Paul and make sure that they get to the right location and on time. If there is any question as to your eligibility, do not wear anything that would identify you as a Ron Paul supporter so as to given them an excuse to exclude you.
Those of us outside of Nevada, pray that the light of truth will be shown in the state of Nevada and that those who would oppose truth be exposed for the world to see.
I say to hell with it. There
I say to hell with it. There is nothing legal about what the GOP is doing. As it looks, you can come in from any state anywhere and vote republican in this sham. On Monday the GOP should do nothing but answer angry phone calls, set up recounts and answer email. This is a sham, and how dare they call RP childish? It is HORRIBLE and their caucus should be threatened with nullification. LOTS of cameras should be there. This guy from Germany in another forum said the whole thing looked to him just like Natzi Germany with the media censorship and bias, and the elections so compromised....AMERIKA who are u now?
