Well

Yes, she's right. She is VERY right. AND the comment below me is a great example. Please don't be thrown off by my response to Magwan77. I mean it only as a warning so that those that go there are armed. BTW, I am one of those that leave notes on such cars!

My car is a billboard for the liberty message. I get notes all the time left on my window while im out. The other day I passed a Ron Paul bumper sticker to a guy on the freeway.

It may seem at times we are alone in this battle for Liberty. The truth is many of your neighbors are secretly on your side, even if they don't yet know it.

Act boldly to make changes in your area, and you "will" find people coming out of the woodwork in many cases to help. It doesn't always go smoothly, but i've found help when I least expected it.

We at times underestimate how strong we are becoming.

on your car make you a terrorist in Missouri. It's in the police manual that DHS handed out a while back. Look it up. They recalled it but I think you can still find it online. I am not making this up! If you have a Ron Paul sticker or don't tread on me sticker on your car then you had best be ready to be pulled over in Missouri and a few other places. Just a warning. Be up on how to handle cops if you are!

interesting to see how quickly . . .

such a discussion becomes religious.

:)

That's not a condemnation of the OP, by the way--

I am not a bold person, not openly. I am a persistent person.

Some people are compulsive and bold and get dramatic things done. Other people just don't stop, ever, and eventually it gets done.

I was seeing all the 'dramatic' posts, and I was asking my inner Bhuddist-leaning Christian child what was wrong, and then I saw those who came in, who have similar ideas, saying, "but wait, not everyone does it the same; sometimes boldness means you sit, still."

So--

that's what I am saying for now--

Be still and know that I am God . . . is one of my favorites--

Some of you are real close

do we have faith in our ability to walk, to talk or to even breath or to keep our heart beating incessantly? This is the same faith that moves mountains and is the same way of getting there.

Just as we learn how to walk and talk as a babe so it is with faith. We live what we want in life until we lose ourselves in it. then it becomes spiritual. All power is spiritual. The flesh is dead. It is the spirit that keeps it alive.

Decide on what you want in life. Make certain it is all of a creative nature. Always do for others in the same manner, Then live it. Don't leave the path until it becomes you. Once you are absorbed in it you are there.

Study the 4 gospels. Jesus taught this way. Everything He taught has one thing in common. "Choice"

Sometimes non-action is the more courageous way.

That is the trouble with cliche's. People want truth to be that simple, that it can be summed up in a catchy phrase. Sometimes it gets very close - this one looks good at first blush, but it just won't always apply.

To know

To know, and not to act, is not to know. Chinese proverb

Depends on what you know. Sometimes, the correct action is

is non-action.

Taken from Taoism and Anarchism

Thirty-seven

Tao abides in non-action,
Yet nothing is left undone.
If kings and lords observed this,
The ten thousand things would develop naturally.
If they still desired to act,
They would return to the simplicity of formless substance.
Without for there is no desire.
Without desire there is.
And in this way all things would be at peace.

Susan Wead taught me that to do nothing is a choice, thus an action.

I think you are focused on politics

and I am talking about life. And yes, choosing non-action can be considered "an action" but now we are getting silly. It is a non-action action, of course.

Boldness Exercised

"A strong body makes the mind strong. As to the species of exercises, I advise the gun. While this gives moderate exercise to the body, it gives boldness, enterprise and independence to the mind. Games played with the ball, and others of that nature, are too violent for the body and stamp no character on the mind. Let your gun therefore be your constant companion of your walks."

--Thomas Jefferson

BTW --

What about the famous alleged Goethe quotation cited all over the web. In its entirety, it usually goes something like this:

“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back. Concerning all acts of initiative (and creation), there is one elementary truth, the ignorance of which kills countless ideas and splendid plans: that the moment one definitely commits oneself, then Providence moves too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred. A whole stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one's favor all manner of unforeseen incidents and meetings and material assistance, which no man could have dreamed would have come his way.
Whatever you can do, or dream you can do, begin it. Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it. Begin it now.”

Great and true sentiments about frame of mind, action and the universe, in my opinion. The words, however, are not Goethe's, rather those of a Scottish mountaineer, William Hutchinson Murray (1913-1996), from his 1951 book entitled 'The Scottish Himalayan Expedition.'

There is a similar saying

"Fortune favors the bold."

or "fortune favors the brave"

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fortune_favours_the_bold

It is derived from the idea that gods like people of action and in their chess games of humans they want to see something happen. Gods are bored and starved of excitement apparently.

And don't worry about the "unseen forces." Either they will show up or they won't, it doesn't matter either way.

e.e. cummings had something to say on this topic:

Beautiful quotation, chris! No wonder I'm so tired!
