I'm posting this for the list it contains. It is not perfect. Some of their translations are inaccurate, but they do post the scripture references. I highly recommend that you to check the text yourself.

I'm not a fan of organized religion but,

I do believe there is a God and Jesus was a prophet and I pray. I don't know if that is what they call an Agnostic or not. I have always enjoyed reading the Bible and always watch all those archeological shows from things they find from the Jesus and Old Testament times.
The stories I find the most interesting are the Gnostic Gospels. The most recent two that have gained my interest are The Gospel of Judas and The Gospel of Mary (Magdalene)
There was a lot of politics that went on in which books would be put in the New Testament and I have read about some that didn't make it in...not the Gnostic ones
There is also a Gospel I wished they could find, one Clement wrote about: The 'Secret' Gospel of Mark.
It is common for Rabbis to teach one thing to their congregation/flock and teach deeper more detailed things to others who are studying deep into Judaism. (Kabbalah for example)
Jesus even talks about this in I think the Book of Mark. He tells each of his deciples different secret teachings and says the majority of the people won't understand what he is trying to tell them, so he teaches them in parables.

I too, am no fan of organized religion. Jesus however, is much more than a prophet. The problem with saying that we accept Jesus to be a prophet, or even a great teacher, is what he taught and prophesied. Jesus prophesied His own death and resurrection, and He taught a standard of living even more strict than that which is found in Mosaic law.

Jesus the prophet, claimed not only that he was the Son of God, but that He was pre-existent with God, in fact, that He was God himself. Forgive me for borrowing an argument from C.S. Lewis, but believing Him to be a "prophet" is not an option that Jesus left to us, should we decide to take Jesus at His word that is.

Jesus, was either a liar of the worst sort, intentionally deceiving those who had put their trust in him, at the cost of their lives no less, as all the disciples but John would eventually die for their faith, and even John spent the last of his days in prison. Or, He was a lunatic, along the lines of someone who considers himself a poached egg (Lewis' analogy, not mine) because in fact, He did claim to be God, and exemplified His claim by taking it upon himself to forgive sin, to change the laws of God (applying a stricter standard), etc. Therefore, as Lewis so correctly observed, prophet is not an option.

There is however, a third possibility, that He was and is exactly whom He claimed to be, none other than the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. As to the nature and divinity of Christ, you will have to answer this question for yourself. But the beauty of the proposition, is that Christ is alive and well and more than ready to provide an answer to all who sincerely seek Him.

Considering both of my parents are Native American

and one parent defines them self as Christian and the other parent in a more spiritual Native one big universe sense, I am just beginning to seek out the meanings of religions. I see a lot I don't like in organized religions. Right now I am interested in the historical parts of religions and like seeking it on my own for the time being. I'm not interested at the moment in people telling me their views or preaching.
I know that sounds rude, but I'm not trying to be sarcastic, so please don't take offense. I am curious and still young. Who knows what I may think next year or 10 years from now. I notice people seem to get more spiritual as they get older.

I can respect that. My suggestion then would be to pick up a King James Bible and read the Gospel of John. That books stated purpose is " But these things are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God: and that believing ye might have life through his name" John 20:31 Read it a few times if you have to. Then go to 1 and 2 Thessalonians. That will tell you about after you believe.

I have read all of the old and new testaments and have read the King James version and about 3 or 4 versions on this chart...not all the way through on some versions.

I am in no way offended by your remarks. Young people love to express themselves, and are typically less diplomatic than their more seasoned counterparts, neither of which is a bad thing. But it's a bit unrealistic to place your own views out there for public consumption, and not expect to be offered a different perspective or opposing point of view in reply.

I make no apologies for the Gospel of Jesus Christ, nor will I keep my thoughts on the matter to myself just to make others more comfortable. But neither do I desire to be confrontational.

Death for Adultery

If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10 NLT)

Death for Fornication

A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 NAB)

Death to Followers of Other Religions

Whoever sacrifices to any god, except the Lord alone, shall be doomed. (Exodus 22:19 NAB)

Kill Nonbelievers

They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 NAB)

Kill False Prophets

If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 NAB)

Kill the Entire Town if One Person Worships Another God

Suppose you hear in one of the towns the LORD your God is giving you that some worthless rabble among you have led their fellow citizens astray by encouraging them to worship foreign gods. Personally, I'm partial to those in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. By the way, I love this one: "Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees..." (Matthew 16:6-12) Can't you just see Jesus rolling His eyes at the disciples' response? With this occurring just after He had fed thousands? I laughed when He said (in so many words): "What?! I too am partial to the commands of Christ. Paul (who wrote most of what is considered to be the New Testament, for those unaware) did great things for the Lord, and the Holy Spirit has spoken to me many times through his words, but were they Holy, are they God's words? I have my own thoughts about this and I keep them mostly to myself for obvious reasons.

Does the list mention

Does the list mention anything about dashing babies on rocks or having slaves? Or maybe anything about killing those that don't accept Jeezus as their king? Probably not.

Hey, I don't know of any command that says to kill anyone

that does not accept the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. I'd like to know some more about that one. I have been commanded to love, not to kill. Things are done in God's name and in Jesus's name that have nothing to do with His command.

The Jesus said that the theif comes to kill, steal, and destroy, but that he came to give abundant life.

If someone is killing in the name of Jesus, they really represent the theif who is Satan. Satan loves to mascarade as an angel of light.

Someone else likewise lifted that sentence out of its context, unaware that it was part of parable that Jesus was using to illustrate what a king might do to his enemies who refused to obey.

That is a prophecy of the destruction of Jerusalem. God was speaking to the people to whom He sent Jesus. God sees past, present and future all a one time. We have a free will, but that free will has consequences.

Think of if in terms of "blowback." Choices we make can have unintended concsequences. Now there can be a discussion as to whether the criminals in our nation do the things they do to ACHEIVE blowback...and who suffers? The people. What is going to happen when the world decides they have had enough of America's meddling? Why are the criminals trying to disarm the people of this country? The context of Luke 19:27 is also in these words:

Luke 13:34 KJV
O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, which killest the prophets, and stonest them that are sent unto thee; how often would I have gathered thy children together, as a hen doth gather her brood under her wings, and ye would not!

The King will not force himself on the people, but the people's choices have their own consequences. Jerusalem fell in 70AD I think. I think it was a blood bath. If the people had accepted the Messiah and the message of the Kingdom to love one another and to do good to one another would Jerusalem have fallen in 70AD? Would there have been a blood bath? Or is it because the people continued down a path oppposite of love and peace that brought that sudden destruction?

This is the verse followinging:

35 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

The verse before that ended in the words "ye would not." Have you seen a hen with her chicks? You don't even know she has chicks until one pops its head thru its mother's feathers and then all you see is a little head. God was willing to envelop Jerusalem within His sheltering wings to protect them from a blood bath, but they would not come. They insisted as little chicks to be "sitting ducks."

The point is that God is ready and available, and we all choose whether we will take Him as ours.

When Ron Paul said in one of the debates "What if we follow the Golden Rule," he was laughed at. It was said in the context of our foreign policy. In a modern day, what if Ron Paul was in a sence that hen sent to gather the children under his wings and the people would not? I am not in any way saying Ron Paul is Jesus or the Messiah, I am just trying to relate the message. The people of Jesus' day rejected his message. The people of our day rejected the message of Ron Paul. When Ron Paul speaks of blowback, does that mean that Ron Paul wants and delights to see our nation destroyed? No, and neither did Jesus. But there are consequences to choices. Ron Paul can somewhat see the path we are headed down. Jesus saw with a certainty the path that lay before Jerusalem.

It was my pleasure to try to put context to the verses quoted. I wish our modern day example had been heeded. More than that I wish for the Prince of Peace to return and Reign in Righteousness, except there are so many who have not yet heard or perhaps understood the Message of the Kingdom.

It amazes me that Satan lifted himself up in pride to be God and at the same time falsely castes God to the ears of this world as the one who has come to kill, steal, and destroy, when in fact the Devil has been a liar from the beginning and it is he who kills steals and destroys and casts deception on the very fact that the Lord Jesus came to give life and that more abundantly.

List omits 1Timothy New Testament slavery commands

The list omits Timothy commanding Christian slaves not to be uppity to their Christian slave-masters and to work even harder if they are owned by a Christian. (1 Timothy 6:1-2))

It does mention other slavery commandments such as EPHESIANS 6:5-8, COLOSSIANS 3:22-25 and 1 PETER 2:18.

It also commands Christian 'slaveowners' to remember they have

a Master in Heaven who shows no partiality.

a slave right now of the US government in the form of 60% taxes and regulations, assuming you have a job and work for Federal Reserve Dollars...Remember that same Master in Heaven will judge our "owners" as well us without partiality.
