Gary Johnson's "our America" Wants Us To Die Defending Israel! Horrific!

I just wanted to donate money to "OUR AMERICA" a so called 'LIBERTARIAN' website/initiative with Gary Johnson as the Chairman.

Just to make sure I wanted to read their positions on the issues before donating.

Under DEFENSE I read this:

"We support the right of Israel to exist as a sovereign country and believes that the United States should protect that right militarily if needed."

Gov. takes my money and my kids life against my will to fight wars for foreign countries, no even better - one foreign coutry - ISRAEL!

Is "OUR AMERICA" A MOLE in the Liberty movement?

I encourage everyone to contact Gary Johnson with questions about this!

This is important!

For peace!

quit bickering

Absolutely right.

Incidentally, Ron won't be on the ballot in 2016. I'm confident of that.

If Gary is fortunate enough to make it on the ballot again, among your choices will be (possibly): Gary, either Joe Biden or Hillary Clinton, Rand Paul and whoever else throws down.

Who would you support?

LPers duped again

First it was Bob "CXA" Barr (X=I)
Then it was Gary "Pro-War" Johnson

Are we going to have to go through this nonsense with the big-Ls again in 4 years with them telling us how pure their candidate is when the party is bankrolled by the Koch brothers?

Umm... hello!

This is what all of us so-called "trolls" were warning GJ's blind supporters of during the entire election cycle! This man is a fraud and not a true libertarian, definitely not someone who ought to be taken seriously.

He also thinks the Fed is a public entity that everyone owns and should be "micromanaged by the people."

Basically, he has no clue what he's talking about. He says things that sound pseudo-libertarian but in reality, it's full of crap. Just another talking head that the LP has shoved into the limelight in an attempt to grab for public money.

I don't play, I commission the league.

Here come the downvotes! Predictable. GJ supporters are neocons who WANT these endless wars, apparently.

I don't play, I commission the league.

Liberty good

Gary Johnson bad.

Edit: For all of those in denial..

Who else said the same thing? :)

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

What's up with THAT?

Does Gary really believe this?

In his heart he can't.

Doesn't he know ALL wars are banker's wars?

Maybe he needs to see that latest video.

The military of this country was formed to protect - this country.

Of course, if the U.S. had not behind creating the nation of Israel in the FIRST place...

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

To Bad...

Glad my vote for him meant nothing in 2012. I had the choice of a Fascist (romney), Socio-Fascist (Sotoro), Effeminent Ferry (johnson)

I voted for Gawee Johnson.

(there goes my reception rating.. hehehehehee)

I told you Gary Johnson sucked.

Contrary to the Catch 22 Sen. Gomer Graham

used against Chuck Hagel, asking him to tell us what lobby is controlling the Senate, here is a list of people AIPAC and their other agents (MSM, ADL, SPLC ect) in the US have destroyed. Dr Paul's on the list. Though, he wasn't politcally destroyed, his Campaign for Pres. was destroyed from the get go, by their traitorous connections. http://www.tomatobubble.com/zio_steamroller.html

In case you don't know, here's a video showing how the AIPAC traitors work to blackmail the politicians, and a huge reason I have a problem with Rand's statements of late. http://vimeo.com/23674530

The trouble is, Rand is getting good MSM

From all the NON NEO-CON sources. HuffPO, Politico, Christian Science Monitor, select MSNBC and Fox news sources.

But not Bill Kristol, Elliot Abrams, Anne Coulter, Charles Krauthammer, and the usual pack of Neo-Con scumbags.

I think Rand has put himself in the position of being nearly untouchable with smart political moves. He has positioned himself to be the Republican choice outside of the Neo-Cons/Karl Rove crowd.

Any Republican pissed off with the party would definitely vote for Rand. That's not a bad starting point.

I think at this point if the Neo-Cons attacked Rand Paul, full scale civil war would break out in the Republican Party. The Neo-Cons are already dangerously exposed with their attacks on Chuck Hagel.

Bill Kristol, Elliot Abrams, Anne Coulter, Charles Krauthammer

what is the common denominator with these names? The percentage of the population with that denominator and the percentage of that denominator in politics, media and other NGO''s?

All former PNAC members/supporters

Along with Dick Cheney, Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, Lindsay Graham and the other usual suspects.

If you are talking the Neo-Con/Likudist dominated media, well if your eye offendeth thee, pluck it out.

In other words, if you don't like it, don't watch it.

If you dislike the current state of affairs, change it.

Even by participating on the DP, you are helping to effect change.

Community based news sites are the future, and the Neo-Con hold is slipping away.

I know folks around here are just going to call me naive and think this a fruitless effort, but I went to the comment area of the site and wrote a quick note explaining why I can't support this Our America Initiative. I tried to make it brief (i.e., you'll find no dissertation on the history of Hamiltonian federalism and whiggery and how many of the Revolutionary principles were subverted from the get-go, nor a deep discussion of the evils and mischief of central banking), but I did my best to point out two particularly troublesome problems with the issues section, and point out directly that I would not support the Initiative because of them. Here's what I wrote:

I am a member of the Libertarian Party and I supported Gary Johnson for President in the last election cycle. I was initially excited about the Our America Initiative, but I found the issues section of the website to be poorly conceived. On many of the issues, the statements provided are too broad to be meaningful. Even more unfortunately, many of the issues with more specific statements seem wildly off-base from a libertarian perspective. To have the issues section single out Israel as a nation that we should defend militarily flies in the face of the Constitutional original intent that you purport to be championing. What happened to the Founders' admonition to engage in peace, commerce, and honest friendship with all nations, and entangling alliances with none? Treating the state of Israel like a US dependency damages our own security posture, while undercutting Israeli sovereignty. Furthermore, while your section on the economy is well-organized and thoughtful, you have a full, separate section on the Federal Reserve that is wishy washy and ambiguous. If your goal is truly to "enlighten" the American people about our traditional republican values and the power of free markets and limited government as an engine of prosperity, we must engage in a far more vigorous discussion of market alternatives to state central banking.

For the reasons stated above, I cannot support the Initiative at this time, but I wish your organization the best of luck as we continue to broaden the debate and encourage the adoption of a political culture based on the enduring promise of individual liberty.

Warm regards,
Justin M. Hill

Then we should defend every nation with a "right" to exist.

No logic here at all!!

Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about group demands

Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about group demands, not individual rights. Abbas just recently said that Palestinians in Syria should die rather than relinquish their future return to Israel.

Libertarian should not support group demands. But then - if Johnson declared that USA should not support Turkey, Japan, UK, France, Spain, Germany, Greece, etc, etc (as he should do) - excitement would be unpopular among Americans with anscestors who had come from those countries....

In the end, Johnson "fault" is the same as that of Libertarians who are obsessed with group demands of Palestinians rather than another collective, say Basques, Chechens, Tibetans, Kurds, etc.

Im glad the grassroots kept

Im glad the grassroots kept their money and didnt support Gary. Hopefully, the principles of the grassroots will continue. Remember the USS Liberty.

Where are the GJ Cheer Leaders?

All I need to hear now is the GJ followers to say "Oh, he's just trying to get along because it's the only way to get elected. It's politics. He will change if he gets elected."

Just like the Rand Paul people.....

I agree that this is . . .

wrong, and I'm glad I didn't vote for him.

As for Rand--

who knows what he is thinking?

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

i'm as sad to hear that

as i was this:

"Any Attack on Israel will be Treated as an Attack on the United States'
Rand Paul

And that is a deal breaker,

And that is a deal breaker, my friend. I was disappointing as well.
Israel is not the 51st State. If anything we should cut off Israel completely. They've stabbed us in the back at every turn.

those who (try to) forget the past are doomed to repeat it.
You know that Mike.

"OH NO! He has a SON?" Neoconservatives and Liberals EVERYWHERE!

Rand Paul 2016

Correct you are, 1777free4all

I was going to make a thread about last weeks Campaign for Liberty meeting. We had guest speakers come in from Libertarian Party [Field Development Director and County Director]. Interesting to say the least..

He wanted us to join the party, and talked about gj. Toward the end I asked him how we could benefit each other, emphasizing that I would NOT join Libertarian Party, and as registered Republican will vote the person, not the party. He was open to it and seemed willing to work toward things where there was mutual interest. We are supposed to get together in the very near future, so we will see where it goes from there. I do not like or support intervention, unless as a very last resort and when we are directly threatened.

We must NEVER forget the past, but obviously work for the future.

Are we going to start this up again?

The campaign is over. Good riddance. Not libertarian - agreed. What it was, I still don't know.

I am finding myself wondering what all the Carson for President

stuff is all about all the sudden.

He clearly said that the way to solve health care is http://youtu.be/PFb6NU1giRA time 21.15:

at birth receive:
1) Birth Certificate
2) Electronic Health Care Record
3) Health Savings Accounts

My question(s), are any of those 3 things voluntary or will they be forced? Do they included being chipped? Can one opt out at anytime? Reminds me of e-verify. Why is Hannity promoting Carson?

ecorob's picture

Its all about the context!

This man looks at things from a medical standpoint.

I'm sure he wants a birth "certificate" as a registration point. We, the people can CHANGE the part that includes "certificates" to be used in the usa "corporation's" style agenda.

An electronic health care record is something that we can all, as Americans, maintain for ourselves and our children. You ALWAYS have a medical "record", do you not? Shouldn't it be electronic in the 21st century where we, the people have access to it and not have it stuck in some file system in a hospital somewhere?

A Health Savings account is the VERY same deal Dr. Paul espoused, for goodness sakes. Remember the "opt out" of social security plan to keep our OWN retirement account? This is the every same thing!

Dr. Carson is a "common sense" kinda guy. These solutions are ALL common sense solutions.

I am afraid you folks are not seeing the forest for the trees. Please explain to me where I am wrong.

And don't go putting words in his mouth like rfid chips...he has said nothing of this to my knowledge and his strong sense of spirituality would probably forbid it.

Just sayin'

Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!
9/11 Truth.

I feel my questions are valid

I think the questions I have are worth answering factually without presuming anything on anyones part. I have not followed Dr. Carson. I do not know his history. What is common sense for some people is not common sense for other people. It concerns me that he wants 3 things assigned at birth. What if I want none of them. Are they voluntary? What if I do not want my children to have any of them. Who will say, me or the centralized planning criminal government? Social Security is a ponzi scheme. IMO National Health Care is the same. So what if I have a self control Health Savings Account. I supposedly have a 401K plan that I hear I cannot access. Whose money is it anyways? So, I think the questions I pose are worth answering. They are not accusations. They are the same questions I would have if Dr. Paul was saying the words. Rush Limbaugh played the Carson Medical Plan clip today. I heard it. Perhaps Obama care was used to push us so far outside a comfort zone that we will gladly accept something we would not have embraced to begin with. As far as I am concerned the way I pay for my medical is my business and no one elses. Perhaps the fact that Obama was not clapping was staged to polarize people into another group think government is the answer effort.

I guarantee 90% of people

I guarantee 90% of people would never see a dime back from a government mandated "Health Savings Account".

End The Fed!

Yes, and what the did was steal the people's silver dimes

and then proceeded to tell them the medicare is bankrupt during the last election cycle. Those silver dimes are worth $2.50 now...

BIG BUMP for ((((((((((((bear)))))))))

clearly.. good questions deserve honest answers.
