Thoughts on Ben Carson?

Simple really

Would you prefer Ben Carson to Hillery Clinton, because the GOP is going to flog another dead horse in 2016 with Rubio, Ryan or Christie, unless they really want to crash with J. Bush.

Without the 2ndA

does it really matter?

I do not vote lessers of evil.

It is pretty simple, really.

No it doesn't matter

Only the insiders are going to get nominated, that's why dissecting such people as Ben Carson and others is so counter-productive.
Voting is simply a distraction, and waiting for 'the next time around' a diversion.

Before we all decend into the dark ages once again, two things are imperative for those that would be; the 2A must be shredded and control of the Internet obtained. Organised opposition will be redundant. The agenda is set, the clock is ticking and the window of opportunity narrowing, 2016 is irrelevant.

Too much bible. Voting

Too much bible.

Voting people like him into office just gives you a different kind of big brother.

I don't trust him

Don't know any real story about Carson yet don't really trust his actions.

He has an amazing story...

Just read his book... "Gifted Hands". Definitely worth ones time if interested.

MY God-given/natural-born 2nd Amendment is NOT up for debate.

carson will NEVER get my vote.

"During an interview on Glenn Beck‘s radio show this past week, Dr. Benjamin Carson suggested that you shouldn’t be able to own semi-automatic weapons in large cities.

When asked by Beck whether people should be allowed to own “semi-automatic weapons,” Carson replied, “It depends on where you live.”

“I think if you live in the midst of a lot of people, and I’m afraid that that semi-automatic weapon is going to fall into the hands of a crazy person, I would rather you not have it,” Carson explained."

____

Ben Carson: "One solution to the problem of special interest groups might be to lengthen the term one serves as a representative from 2 years to 6, 8, or even 10 years… Can you even imagine how much more efficiently and logically our government would work under such a circumstance?" (January 2012)

____

Ben Carson on healthcare: One solution would be to remove from the insurance companies the responsibility for catastrophic health-care coverage, making it a government responsibility [like FEMA insures against hurricanes]. Clearly, if the health-care insurance companies did not have to cover catastrophic health care, it would be relatively easy by analyzing actuarial tables to determine how much money they are likely to be liable for each year. With this information at our disposal, health insurance companies could be regulated just as utilities are regulated.

Carson is a con job

Trying to attack right to bear arms and right to property in oblique and ubiquitous ways was just total evidence of that.

He is a real fraud.

My gut feeling is the same

Perhaps he is not a complete con job, but his ideas on private property and the 2nd Amendment are not inline with the Constitution, Rights, or Liberty.

We need to STOP looking to Washington DC for answers and START looking to our Communities, Counties, Cities, then to our States, and then to the Feds (but only if we can't manage our problems at the local or State Level).

Intelligent beings are not meant to be directed from afar, that is why DC is trying so desperately to dumb down America and create more Dependence.

Subsidiarity.

I hope he is in the GOP debates

His participation in the GOP debates would be interesting.

He is squishy on the 2nd

He is squishy on the 2nd Amendment. Can't support/vote for him at the national level (have some concerns with him about legislating morality as well, but meh, cross that bridge when we come to it).

What I find interesting is is healthcare solution. $2K in a savings account when you're born, 2K annually. Separate Medicaid for the chronically ill. The 2K can be shared between family members. Catastrophic HI for accidents. While not inherently a libertarian solution, it seems a viable one that could work. My thought is that something like this would take a contentious issue away from the oligarchs.
http://www.ontheissues.org/2016/Ben_Carson_Health_Care.htm

While I need to research the issue in depth, it seems workable on the surface. Annual cost of the personal health savings accounts would be about the same as what was spend on healthcare{dot}gov at the current population number.

Sure, lots of interesting

Sure, lots of interesting health care plans that people come up with could work out fine. But the current leaders would never implement something that simple or hands-off, because to them the whole point of any policy is to have control over people.

He was sounding good until

he started talking about Tithing to the government. He is citing Jesus and still advocating government force on innocent people. If we dont tithe to the government what we "owe", then what?

I know Dr. Ben Carson personally

When I lived in Baltimore ('95-'04) Ben Carson spoke at an event we had at church to raise money for our young mother home. He has lead an extraordinary life as a specialist in performing the most challenging neuro-surgery. He has gone around the world to perform surgery.

He has been retired from surgery for close to 10 years. He started to develop hand tremors.

Some surgeries took 16 to over 20 hours and he always insisted on having praise and worship music playing in the operating rooms where he worked.

Ben had a hard childhood growing up poor with a single Mom.

Ben is what Jesus has in mind for those who call themselves Christians.

He's lived a miraculous life, doing exploits that gave evdence to the presence of a supernatural Father who desires to work through us if only we would trust and believe Him.

Ben's whole life is a miracle -- right up to this week being given the opportunity to "bring it" to Barak Obama.

He's fearless and a true gentleman.

He'd make a great president.

He get's it ALL.

Thanks BT

Your comment did much to fade from my mind the unwarranted bashing he's gotten in recent months from the insatiable fear-mongers on this site. Should he never actually crossover into entering politics as such, you should make a play to entice him to reestablish his medical practice in Foxboro. :D

Foxburg not Foxboro

Foxboro is near Boston, Think Patriots NFL.

I'd love to have a man who thinks like him as a partner.

Who knows... Maybe it will get so bad that a Think Tank who's mission is to restore the Republic, will have to go off and cloister for a while to preserve the principles of liberty.

Foxburg could be that place.

"unwarranted bashing"

EVERYBODY gets fully vetted. Period.

yes, you are correct

just as Ron Paul was "fully vetted" by the MSM and RNC

zap!

I raise you an ouch (see my post above) :-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Zow!

You mean to tell me that you can not conceed to the point about how well vetting Ron Paul worked in 08/12?

((((((PAF)))))) I am not suggesting, nor do I get the indication that anyone is suggesting that anyone vote for BC.

If you read my above post, I only said BC would be good in the debates, and I stand by that.

I think it's AWESOME that you are vetting the GOP potential candidates.. perhaps you will obtain enough practice to actually get on a GOP committee and vet as an insider.

Where's your GJ vet page?

Right here:

Is that worth a chicken wing or a chicken leg?

:-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

It's worth a whole chicken in a pot

That's what I made today.. Chicken in a Pot

Matzah balls, kreplach (it's like ravioli, made with the leg and thigh meat), egg noodles, rice, onion, celery, carrots with chicken, and served with rye bread and garlic pickles.

It is so good.. my matzah balls are so tender and fluffy..

LOL!

"Where's your GJ vet page?"
I want one for Johnson as well, thanks for bringing that up. :)
