Elitism is creeping into the Daily Paul

I've been a long time reader and very infrequent contributer so take what I say with a grain of salt:

The very idea that I am 'afraid' to post this because of the reaction I will get proves my point to myself.

Not all of us are as Libertarian as _____ and that SHOULD be ok. Disagreement is an opprotunity to educate, not exclude.

It seems that the commonalities we share are Liberty, Freedom, peace and a quest for wisdom. Let us return to these.

I know its hard but instead of having pissing contests to see who is 'more Libertarian' or excluding people because they dont meet enough of the 'requirements,' lets build on the solid foundations that we all supposedly share.

These are times when unity is VITAL - there are times for bickering and times for agreement.

This is a time for agreement. Let us press on together.

United we stand, divided we fall.

"Disagreement is an opprotunity to educate"

I am sick and tired of endless killing. I am sick and tired of endless talk about terrorism. I am sick and tired of this corrupt government propping mic at the expense of human beings. I am sick and tired of tsa, indefinite detention, cameras on every lamp post, regulations that protect anything BUT me and my family, and MY hard earned money used for their all mighty plan.

If a congressman, state rep or SENATOR is NOT informing the American people of the truth and of these atrocities.........!

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

and I guarntee you that

90% of the people that vote for these hollow puppets and corrrupt representatives either dont know what you are talking about, why its a bad thing or understand how to combat it.

SO TELL THEM. SHOW THEM.

whether it is 1 person or 1000000000 people isnt the issue.

Vinegar doesnt catch flies and divisive arrogance doesnt educate anyone - it is only a puffing up.

I understand your frustration but put yourself in the shoes of the 'neocon' or the 'liberal' and think about what they are looking for.

Our movement and ideas has EXACTLY what they are looking for in abundance!!

Dont be the angry greeter at walmart, be the personable individual that utilizes your talents to help them find what they are LOOKING FOR.

The so called pissing contests happen

when he IS trying to show them.. Maybe you haven't realized but people are a pain in the ass.. They rarely come to an understanding about something through hard core research or a deep understanding of Liberty.. They get here because someone said something they liked and it made them feel good..

Edit.. Oh and dude.. It's words on a screen.. you decide how much power they have over you.. if you're scared to post, then you need to grow a pair, in all sincerity.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

I am a bit of a coward

its something im working on. As an aside I think words are very powerful.

There is a HUGE difference between calling out someone for 'loving' Israel and trying to help them understand why foreign aid and intervention, even to Israel, is doing more harm than good.

That is just one example: how can I help someone see that paper FRNs and our current situation is not ideal IF that someome doesnt even know how FRNs or fractional reserve banking work?

We need to be educators and not agirators.

It is natural for people to try and elevate themselves above others - it is unnatural to level with them and try to empathize and help.

And yes people are a pain and they do suck - but thats about the lamest excuse to not try and help them see that what they seek exists (politically speaking) ONLY in Liberty and Freedom.

Rarely do I see people come here for educational reasons trying to get away from their neocon/liberalism..

Everyone that's here knows better than to promote liberal agendas and neocon agendas.. If they're really about Liberty, they wouldn't be running their traps about such things.

For the record, I've brought many people to Dr.Paul, mostly through my aggressive style. I think the time for coddling types of education, is over.. it's time to bitchslap a few of them awake.

And... words have absolutely no power that you do not give to them. Anyone that thinks differently is a moron.

Let's be radical

it was what Rothbard thought could bring liberty folks of all stripes together: http://www.lewrockwell.com/rothbard/rothbard75.html

I agree with a great many things your article highlights

but here's the rub.. in the practical world and the reality of things, we aren't up against Anarchist or at least I'm not. I'm against Liberalism and Neoconism both really two peas in a pod today.. They have opposite goals even while they spout Liberty rhetoric.

I can work with and Anarchist.. I can work with a minarchist as long as these groups are standing on their principles. I WILL NOT however walk hand in hand with Liberals in the sense that I would be adding to their power by way of voting one of them into office.
