Michael Rivero gives Daily Paul a plug on radio show.

On 2-11-13 program @ 55:20 into the first hour, Rivero acknowledges the posting of his story on the DP. He then goes on to say that trolls have flooded the comments section in support of the bankers.
Does anyone else listen to his program?
The link won't last as the program is updated daily.

Thanks Steve for the links to Rivero's radio show.

I'm starting to think that guy is a great patriot.

But I need to hear more.

Michael Rivero is Alex Jones, but without the hype,..

and without the bombastic personality to deal with.

There is no doubt that he is a great Patriot. Believe it.

Go down to the Justin TV/most recent podcast link on the right side. It's free.

May I suggest this video have a permanent place on front page?

Perhaps on top of all the other posts so that new visitors to the DailyPaul see it.

In fact, EVERY American should see it.

I will bump this video forever.

It's the single most important piece of information ever posted on the DailyPaul and if we as a nation don't come to underatand this, the wars will NEVER stop.

And Americans will continue to die for the war profits of the central banksters.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

Bump. Is there any way to make this video a permanent...

...link right on top of all other DailyPaul posts?

As far as I'm concerned, this video and its philosophies pretty well define what many of us believe here.

I don't mean to presume when I say that.

But I really think it's true.

The subject of this video is exactly what drew me into the Ron Paul movement.

And I'll bet Dr. Paul would fully agree with what is presented in this video.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

Great Video

This talk should be on TED.com

May our efforts in support of Congressman Ron Paul be blessed with supernatural success.

bumping for good information--

I've believed WWII was a set up for years, but this is the first time I've read those words by Churchill--

Where has all that information been 'hiding'?

!

it's hard to be awake; it's easier to dream--

My completements to Michael Rivero. Great job.

Given this question, what would be your answer?
What would be your #1 priority if you could fix anything?

1. Balance the budget
2. Stop all of the wars
3. End all PAC money
4. Repeal Obamacare
5. End the two-party system
6. End the Federal Reserve
7. Go to a gold-based monetary system
8. Stop all drone attacks and surveillance

Which one would Ron Paul choose? Answer: By ending the Federal Reserve, all of the others would correct themselves.

#9 Stop all transactions that profit the banks

This can be done at a personal level, it's effect is proportional to how many people do it and as success increases, it becomes more attractive and beneficial.

It's by far the most passive method we can use because we're each just making personal decisions to get off the 'monthly payment' train. Be it veggies, home power, small loans or global news, we can use the tech we have in OUR arsenal to provide solutions that keep our money in our pockets.

For a while, this will allow many of your listed problems to continue to exist but not for long. Just as people will lessen their need for welfare, the justification for big government will fade. As they lose profit (and since they're leveraged to the hilt), the banks' power (and by extension, the bad side of government) will fail. As we grow in unity and power and they lose theirs, we can target their weak and send a strong message. This not only further weakens them but it strengthens and unites us more. It becomes a self-fulfilling action.

and the most passive way of

and the most passive way of doing that is to legalize competing currencies, as people will always choose a valuable currency over a non-valuable one per gresham's law.

just legalize competing

just legalize competing currencies and repeal legal tender laws and all problems will sort themselves out. dr paul ultimately arrived to this conclusion after years of research.

Yeah, this is going to get voted down

And the problem with a sovereign society issuing their own sovereign currency is...

Again it seems we always get caught up in this conversation when something like this video arises. Sound money, gold standard, competing currencies, bimetallic standard, etc... if you're not somewhere in this arena, you're a traitor to the liberty movement and no intellectual discussion allowed.

A debt-free issued currency of and for the people backed by the wealth and sovereignty of a nation seems more sound than a stupid piece of metal.

Learn the truth:

"Run for your life from any man who tells you that money is evil. That sentence is the leper's bell of an approaching looter."
- Ayn Rand

Then Why Are The ELITES (evil) The Ones With ALL THE MONEY?

You can't handle the Truth!

Money ruined this Country. This Country is organized as a system of legalized bribery. This can produce only one possible result: A result where the filthy-rich (Bankers and Corporations) control the government and make all the rules.

And what do the people get? Economic Slavery, Debt, and a dehumanized culture.

SteveMT's picture

They extracted that wealth from the people.

The entire fiat-based currency systems of the world is designed to concentrate wealth to the elites from the rest of us. You answered your own question.

And you answered mine

as money (which you may describe as 'fiat-based currency system') is the root of all evil.

And we also have an elected government designed around bribery as a daily function (with that money).

You're allowed to discuss...

But will you listen when we suggest that perhaps what you don't understand is the true nature of democracy? A democratic society can never have a currency of and for the people backed by the wealth and sovereignty of a nation.

1. By definition, a democracy has no sovereignty.
2. By morality, a government can have no wealth.

So, if you want an enslaved immoral society, then a democracy with a state controlled fiat currency is the right thing for you.

As for me and my house, we'll take the stupid piece of metal.

So I guess gold is the path

So I guess gold is the path to morality

There isn't any reason why you can't implement a sovereign currency within a republican system. There are designed checks on the various branches of the government, as well as between the levels of government. Why couldn't one put a check on the currency? The currency doesn't have to be one of massive inflation and of mob or corporate handouts.

SteveMT's picture

All of the other checks and balances have already failed.

"Until and unless you discover that money is the root of all good you ask for your own destruction When money ceases to become the means by which men deal with one another then men become the tools of other men Blood whips and guns--or dollars Take your choice--there is no other" - Ayn Rand

Except

Except did the checks and balances fail because they were always doomed to fail, or was it because we never instituted an official (and checked) monetary function of the national government and instead delegated this role to banking powers who would undermine, corrupt, and eventually control the government?

We have to have some faith in a true republican system.

A monetary function of the national government is as important and as dangerous as the military. But they are necessary, and they can be kept at bay and in service of the people. The republic did function properly at one time with a small government and with a military that stayed home. But it seems that has changed not because of some flawed idealism of the founders, but with our loss of monetary authority.

a government issuing currency

a government issuing currency backed by gold cannot go into endless debt.

That is the constitutional position it seems

but I would argue that it would dominate our foreign policy ie manufacture wars to invade other countries for their gold reserves, just like the current government manufactures wars to keep the petrodollar scheme going.

The power of governments ALWAYS tend to grow (bigger government) as it's in the nature of power to always need more power to even maintain their current power. States cannot be trusted with the issuance of currency, it will just end up like the Petrodollar.

The real solution is NO STATE MANDATED CURRENCY, repeal legal tender laws and have competing currencies. Some can be backed by gold, silver, even fiat. The People (the market) has the power to decide which currency they want to do their transactions with, the power is in the hands of the People.

"If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom — go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, an
