Ben Carson on why he spoke out in front of Obama and why I think he HAS to run

for President in 2016.

http://ian56.blogspot.co.uk/2013/02/ben-carson-on-why-he-spo...

Dr Benjamin Carson speaks words full of truth, words full of wisdom

"What I said was not right wing, it wasn't left wing - it was logic and common sense .....people are starving for this out of Washington DC - I don't know where we left our brains"

Yes - Dr Carson's speech was entirely logical and contained huge dollops of common sense, understanding and knowledge of, America's problems.
Yes - people are starving for it - they will literally be starving if things are not radically changed.
Yes - Washington DC do not use their brains or common sense and the electorate no longer think for themselves.

"We have gone from a can do nation to a - what can you do for me nation"

(From JFK's inaugural address -
""The energy, the faith, the devotion which we bring to this endeavor will light our country and all who serve it – and the glow from that fire can truly light the world. And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you – ask what you can do for your country."

I would add as Benjamin Carson basically said above :-
"ask not what your country can do for you - ask what YOU can do for YOURSELF")

JFK would not recognise the America of today - it is anathema to all that he stood for - freedom, prosperity and the well being of ALL Americans.)

"We are destroying the fabric of this nation"

"People don't know about anything. They don't know about history, they don't know about technology, they know so little the news media is able to tell them whatever they (the news media) want them to think"
This guy REALLY understands America's problems.

And most of the reason why America has such huge problems is identified in Benjamin Carson's comments and what his mother forced him to do to turn his life completely around as a kid.
People don't turn off the TV and read books - they do not inform and educate THEMSELVES.

"people say - well that's what they said on the news, people don't think for themselves"
Americans have left their brains in the trash can - they do not accept anything unless they see it in mainstream print or on mainstream TV. Even when somebody totally destroys what has been said in mainstream print or on mainstream TV, with reason and logic and common sense, they don't want to accept the media is laying a false narrative to them.

"The founders of our nation said, our nation will fundamentally change when people are so ignorant they are easily led"
That single statement sums up what America has become today.

"WE have to get rid of Political Correctness and let people say what they really mean, let them really be able to express their ideals"

From earlier in the interview on Political Correctness and why it is dangerous and counter productive for America :-
"One of our founding pillars was freedom of speech and freedom of expression and yet we have imposed upon people restrictions on what they can say - on what they can think. The media is the largest proponent of this - crucifying people for saying things that are quite innocent and well meant."

I wrote the same thing on my blog - just a few days ago.
If people are unable to clearly identify what the problems are and what they think the solutions might be, because of free speech limitations imposed by Political Correctness - the problems will never be truly described and explained, they will never be understood and they will NEVER BE SOLVED.

"I would be willing to debate anyone on the President's Health team and show how it can be improved and done for less money."
I BET HE CAN.
I bet that American healthcare could be improved by 400% if Dr Benjamin Carson had a free hand.

This guy HAS to run for President.
There is no one else out there that fundamentally understands America's problems and has the will, the principles and the ideas to turn things around.

There is no one else out there that will be able to generate a REAL debate amongst countless millions Americans about what needs to be done to turn things around.

This guy is modest, he is not power hungry.
I think he would be very ready to listen to other people's ideas that expand upon and build upon the GREAT ideas he already has.
His ideas would already take America in a large leap in the right direction instead of continuing America's current insidious decline - which is where both parties are currently taking us.

Let's have a REAL discussion and debate about what needs to happen to turn America around and get it heading in the RIGHT direction again.
Let's get America headed back UP again - stronger and more prosperous, not headed down - weaker and poorer.
Let's have that REAL debate with tens of millions of Americans.

I further propose that Ron Paul act as Benjamin Carson's senior economic and Foreign Policy advisor, perhaps as his Treasury Sec and that Judge Napolitano act as his senior legal advisor, perhaps as Attorney General or to sit on the Supreme Court.

A POWERFUL voice of moderation needs to arise from the center.
Is Ben Carson that voice?
Let's see.

Did you read this hit piece against him?

A good way to defend your freedoms: www.libertymagazine.org

one of two things will happen . .

Dr. Carson will cave in to the GOP platform which is -

- legislate morality for everyone
- funnel billions of pilferred money to the MIC so we can kill many in other lands AND here if they dont like them
- sacrifice everyone for Israel
- full bore drug war
- lip service to anti-abortion and fund planned parenthood
- hold ZERO financial folks responsible for anything they do

OR

If he doesnt cave on these items, he'll disappear from the limelight and all of the sudden he WONT be "wonderful".

War is an instrument entirely inefficient toward redressing wrong; and multiplies, instead of indemnifying losses.
Thomas Jefferson

I am going to try to explain his positions....

He is a Seventh Day Adventist, so if you are judging by his religious beliefs and convictions this would be the standard positions:
*War/foreign policy
Adventist are non-weapon carriers on the military, which means he is more on the peace side of things and not on the war mongering side.
*Israel
He is definitely better than Rand Paul on this one. For Adventist Israel is just like any other country. For Rand Paul (according to his theological understanding) Israel plays an important role in "Final events" therefore he has to "defend it" (therefore his comments/visit, votes, etc). So things like aid would be much better (cease).
*Gold/Silver/Fed Reserve
He is a reader and it seems he is not brain washed by Fox yet hard to say about this one you will have to ask him. I would thing he would love to bring some transparency to the Fed.
*Personal liberties
One of the biggest part of the budget of Adventists is to defend freedom of conscience, where our liberties arise from therefore I would think it is quite positive.
*Taxes
I think you heard from him. Repeal current IRS rules substitute by some sort of "fair tax". No the ideal yet better than we currently have.
*Humanitarian aid.
He may be incline towards this.
*Health care
Repeal Obamacare substitute by the health savings account system
*Education
He maybe prone to "invest" on education, we will have to ask him on this one.

I have no problem with him suggesting 10% flat income tax

as a goal.

Once we got to 10% or near it and it worked so well we can go on to 5% and then nothing.

Even Ron Paul advocated gradually moving to zero income tax over time.
It just cannot be done overnight.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

There does not seem anything there that a few sessions

with Ron Paul, Judge Nap, Tom Woods or Jim Grant couldn't persuade him to move more towards us.

I bet he hasn't even started thinking about things like the Fed.

Or perpetual war.

Or Corporatocracy and Oligarchs.

I never suggested he was anywhere near the finished article.

I only suggested that he might be a mechanism for getting some REAL debate going amongst tens of millions of Americans.

There hasn't been any debate about how America should be run or be governed for decades.

Ron Paul was shut out by the media and just did not reach enough people.

"In the end, more than they wanted freedom, they wanted security. They wanted a comfortable life, and they lost it all -- security, comfort, and freedom. When ... the freedom they wished for was freedom from responsibility, then Athens ceased to be free."

Calm down

I just watched the 30 min clip and all I have to say is WOW. But we know NOTHING about this guy. He is HUGE with educations, where does he stand? Socialized or individual? He seems like a guy kids should be looking up to, but be serious, RAND PAUL is the person we are running, if you do not like it then get out of the way.

ecorob's picture

It looks to me like you and Randy Paul are the ones in the way.

Perhaps you should open up your views a little?

its 'cos I owe ya, my young friend...
Rockin' the FREE world in Tennessee since 1957!
9/11 Truth.

It sounds like

you need to calm down a bit. And Rand? Really? he has become quite neo-con of late with many of his views.

We do need to get to know who Ben Carson really is. We also need to start looking at other liberty minded people who could possibly run and not just Rand.

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

I agree.

Too many eggs in one basket can possibly lead to disappointment/failure.

I am up for suggestions.

I have thought about all those who are interested flooding Judge Nap [and/or potential others] encouraging to run.

If there is consencus upon a 'Liberty' candidate, I will do everything in my power to promote that person.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

The judge would be

the only one I would support over Rand, but he isn't running.

If the revolution

doesn't run Rand, We lose. Im done losing.

Aug. 1892. "The Pledge of Allegiance"

The Pledge of Allegiance, 1892
The Pledge of Allegiance was written in August 1892 by the socialist minister Francis Bellamy (1855-1931). It was originally published in The Youth's Companion on September 8, 1892. Bellamy had hoped that the pledge would be used by citizens in any country.

In its original form it read:

"I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
In 1923, the words, "the Flag of the United States of America" were added. At this time it read:

"I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America and to the Republic for which it stands, one nation, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."
In 1954, in response to the Communist threat of the times, President Eisenhower encouraged Congress to add the words "under God," creating the 31-word pledge we say today. Bellamy's daughter objected to this alteration. Today it reads:

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Section 4 of the Flag Code states:

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag: "I pledge allegiance to the Flag of the United States of America, and to the Republic for which it stands, one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all.", should be rendered by standing at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. When not in uniform men should remove any non-religious headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart. Persons in uniform should remain silent, face the flag, and render the military salute."
The original Bellamy salute, first described in 1892 by Francis Bellamy, who authored the original Pledge, began with a military salute, and after reciting the words "to the flag," the arm was extended toward the flag.

At a signal from the Principal the pupils, in ordered ranks, hands to the side, face the Flag. Another signal is given; every pupil gives the flag the military salute — right hand lifted, palm downward, to a line with the forehead and close to it. Standing thus, all repeat together, slowly, "I pledge allegiance to my Flag and the Republic for which it stands; one Nation indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all." At the words, "to my Flag," the right hand is extended gracefully, palm upward, toward the Flag, and remains in this gesture till the end of the affirmation; whereupon all hands immediately drop to the side.

CNN decides to dissect the speech in order to start yet another political divide:

CNN Panel: Was Doctor’s Conservative Speech In Front Of Obama ‘Offensive,’ ‘Inappropriate’?

Crowley turned to Rep. Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and asked if she found “anything offensive” in Carson’s speech.

“I think that there is a political correctness that he was trying to use to appeal to a conservative audience,” Schakowsky said. “I think it’s really not really an appropriate place to make this kind of political speech and to invoke God as his support for that kind of view.”

Follow Ron Pauls advice

and change thing in your own locality.
Then grow from that.
A president can do nothing without congress approval.
And get that 'emergency' out of the door.
It is the only reason the president can do what he does.

They guy did a nice speech, but....

Isn't he a Democrat? People can have great ideas and make eloquent speeches, but to run for office? I think about 20 of my favorite posters on Daily Paul would do a better job.

But those 20 fav posters haven't got on National TV

and haven't been able to reach an audience of tens of millions Americans.

If this guy is willing to listen to Ron Paul and others - would that change your mind?

We don't know yet if he is willing to listen.

When theives and crooks have usurped every vissage of the government and judiciary, we still here how the dam american people are lazy and stupid thats why we have all the problems they just wont stand up to the crooks and theives. Right!

Americans i can not speak for but I have been fighting back my entire life from birth. I was born unatended in a log cabin in a forest, a free baby right up until this day a free man.

Its like the shepard stating the darn sheep its all their fault that the wolves kill them and destroy all my profits. Right?

Blame the victim is the favorite Zio tactic.

Wouldn't it be great if Ron Paul and Judge Nap spent a

weekend discussing stuff with him?

Then we could get their feedback on him.

I find it HIGHLY suspect

that DP is now littered with all these posts promoting this guy.

How come all of a sudden there are so many here who love this guy? His view that taxes should be tithed to the government like one tithes to a church is very disturbing.

Actually I came up with an idea like that for local gov. We're the city posts funds they need and people can donate. That way the gov isn't stealing from you. If they don't get the money? I guess the people don't want it or feel they need it.

The way i heard it in this man's speech

...was that people should receive a direct tax upon them at a set percentage. Kinda like a flat sales tax, except it would be a set amount of your income. I did not hear him advocate a truly voluntary tax system, but rather it would be your duty, like giving to the church, to pay a set amount of your income to government.

when he debates

So strange

how quick opinions are formed with little more than 3 seconds of knowledge about anything...

n psychology, cognitive dissonance is the excessive mental stress and discomfort[1] experienced by an individual who holds two or more contradictory beliefs, ideas, or values at the same time.
