You're welcome.

The octopus has many tentacles that reach in different directions but, they are all attached to the same body. It is a fascinating journey, trying to make sense of it all. You are not alone. Many of us here are seeking for the truth through different avenues.

I wish you well in your journey for truth, rpcongress.

My Recommended reading for posters on this thread

Catechism of the Catholic Church.

It is the mist PROFOUND tome I have ever attempted. It changed my life and view of the world. I thought I was worldly.. and then I found out, that is where I was wrong, because being worldly is being anti-Christ.

Speaking of Western Civilization,

How the Irish Saved Civilization by Thomas Cahill is a fun read!

Got that one too..

Thnx anyway ;)

"I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiriual nature, must be carried out not only by words and deeds but no less with prayer and suffering."

What an assult on a rational mind!

Last Pope?

The Malachy...

...list is likely forgery. Likely in an attempt to assist by someone who wanted to help cardinal Girolamo Simoncelli achieve the papacy. There are many "issues" with the whole papal prophecy thing. So, with respect to the Catholics here, I would not get too geared up over this from an end-time point of view. Did folks learn anything from the 2012 Mayan uproar? Believers have believed they were "in the end of times" since, well, at least 2000 years ago. If the next pope is the last, my sense is that it won't be a manifestation of the terrible judgment timeline. It'll be something else.

Except that now....

...with the discovery of Y-DNA patrilineal DNA testing in 2000, a Levite can be found to consecrate the third temple.

That was not possible until now.

I am skeptical...

...of the prophecy, the more I look at it. However, despite the truth in what you say about being on guard against assuming our time is THE end time, if you read Christ's words in Matthew 24, it's clear He was also describing things to be looking out for, especially so that when the false christs and false prophets make their claims, you will know they are counterfeit. Specifically, the Abomination of Desolation is a key thing to watch for (v 15).

This watchfulness does not mean you ignore daily issues in the world prior to that and sit around waiting to be beamed up.

Now the big question... "Who will become the next ANTI-CHRIST?"

This one was a Nazi. But what the largest FALSE church really needs is a banker / lawyer type personalty who can better take advantage of widows and orphans in addition to conspiring to commit mass genocide.

The FALSE church has a real opportunity here to take their witchcraft and warlocks to an entirely new level of deception.

Only an evil man would aspire to take on the FALSE role of the pope in a failed attempt to supplant and usurp the power of his Savior and God's Son.

2000 year old Catholic Church founded by Jesus...

is a false church? (to AnAppealtoHeaven) I would like to hear why you beleive this, and which church established by Jesus should we follow if not the Catholic church. And please do not tell me about a church that was founded in the last several centuries as these are all formed by arguements and rivalries of men. I am my Lord Jesus do not want division but unity and love, something that the church has taught throut the centuries, and the fact that it is still alive and growing tells me it is not false.... Would love to debate you on this if you approach this subject withan open mind. God Bless you and may you find truth with the help of God's grace...

I'm Catholic, but I don't

I'm Catholic, but I don't believe the Church was founded by Jesus. More like Constantine.

2 Thessalonians 2: 3-4

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 KJV 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Malachi Martin would have known the inside scoop on this.

The conclave's next choice will be very telling. God help us all!

Very telling

"saying he no longer had the strength to fulfill the duties of his office, ie. adding and subtracting with all of those Roman numerals."

Sorry. Not trying to offend Catholics. Just having a bit of the fun with the Roman part.

Catholic or not...

...it is significant in some way. That office is well known world wide and for centuries. Not the norm. Ah well, we are living in the twilight zone!

My response is to pray

Lord, source of eternal life and truth, give to Your shepherd, the Pope, a spirit of courage and right judgement, a spirit of knowledge and love.

By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care may he, as successor to the apostle Peter and vicar of Christ, build Your church into a sacrament of unity, love, and peace for all the world.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who lives and reigns with You and the Holy Spirit, one God, forever and ever. Amen.

I pray the next Pope will

continue to hold the line on homosexuality, divorce, and abortion.

Do you accept...

...St. Malachy's prophesy as correct, Granger, or at least the interpretation of it, that the next pope will be the last (Petrus Romanus)? Interesting that the new pope will probably be elected in mid-March, same time as Obama's Mideast/Israel tour. I don't know if it's just me imagining things, but it feels like things may beginning to really snowball towards 'the end' here. Could be wrong.

No, Micah_6_8

I do not accept St. Malachy's prophesy or the interpretation if it as correct, but a forgery.

I find those who seek prophacy over catechism and scripture, corrupt, having lost their way, reflecting their own hopes and dreams, not the FAITH, HOPE and LOVE our Lord Jesus taught us.

Jesus said, NO SIGNS FOR YOU.. and yet, that's what they seek.

The Church is over for them, but it is not over for me and the millions of the faithful who BELIEVE, world without end...
