New Vatican Throne! Pretty terrifying stuff

I'm not entirely certain who this is for, but it's certainly not in the image of jesus or anything holy. Add in the Popes "resignation, and the fact the Vatican was struck by lightning last night. The bible uses a lightning strike to describe lucifers fall from heaven. I'm speechless. Is this prophecy happening before our eyes?

This is just silly, I think that's a cool sculpture. I disagree with images in worship in general, but that is an awesome sculpture.

The "New Vatican Throne" is

The "New Vatican Throne" is not new by the way.

*updated, at bottom

If a person is going to research things of this nature, they need a strong foundation of what is right, in the first place.

While I see that the catholic 'religion' as such, is wayward on many fronts, I don't see the need for going about bashing them and would prefer to spend my effort elsewhere. A person may need a general resistance while dealing with this belief, 'from some of the catholic people', and it is this; at the very heart of their belief system, they think that they are "the church". And, them thinking that they, "are the church" because of their belief that Peter founded the catholic church and that Jesus was referencing 'Peter as the rock', is clearly false.

Matthew 16:13-20
King James Version (KJV)

18. And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

The preceding two verses has been omitted, which is the true foundation of "the church": "upon this rock"

16. And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17.And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

This is the true meaning of "the church", "upon this rock":
"Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God.", "for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven."
edit: verses added to more simply explain the above two (16 & 17): cross references, if you will, a progressive understanding of what roughly, Peter (so-called) understood at that time.

Romans 10 (KJV)

9. That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1 John 4:2 King James Version (KJV)

2. Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:
They do, from my experience have a "cult-like" belief, that they think that they are the only ones going to heaven. With this knowledge and the above corrected knowledge, a person has the resistance to avoid their 'holier than thou' possible mentality and their 'self-righteous' possible mentality; that a catholic person may be attempting to hold against others not of their belief system, generally hidden of course. A serious spiritual flaw and, in the case of the catholic church, just more 'religious bunk' or 'doo-doo', if you prefer.

*update: added

"a person has the resistance to avoid their 'holier than thou' possible mentality and their 'self-righteous' possible mentality,"

added: 'high mindedness', 'superior', 'more important', "better", than you are mentality, pick one or two. And for those deeper, the concern is that not only is this belief not the Spirit of God but another force is being used known as, "the latent power of the soul". Where possibly a person can 'cast', if you will, certain bad things upon another person. Or, possibly better put, 'strip from a person' certain resistance concerning certain subjects. I have such a neighbor.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 KJV 3 Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

Hurrah for the Pope!

As a Catholic, I can assure those who fear the "New World Order" that this type of thought comes more from the individuals within the Church than any Church teaching.
Take the "Church's" statement on gun control. It was from a Vatican official-not the Pope- and it was not binding. No Church Tradition or teaching upholds the view espoused by that official.

There are WORSE things wrong with the "mother church"...

During all this hub-bub whereas "everyone" is trying, ONCE AGAIN, to predict this is the LAST generation of life on Earth(even though Christ says NO MAN knows) - with all the ecumenism - the "construction" of the apostate chruch(which is marrying the Roman church); I felt it appropriate to resurrect this decade-old lesson on The Jezebel FORM of religion that is as unbiblical as it gets.

Everyone seemingly wants to know what Catholics believe; and Catholics seem to want to defend themselves and the practices of the mass and the sacraments etc. etc.

The onus to a civil war is indeed to have us all start fighting with one another...perhaps the PTB thought they could pull this off by having this movement insult another man's patriotism(Ron Paul people versus establishment GOP'ers) ... well, that failed because the establishment GOP customer base likes Rand Paul ... now, perhaps they can paint us as attacking another man's religion; namely Sean Hannity and Bill O'Reilly and Newt Gingrich's religion!!!

America, this republic, is a VERY educated lot of individuals - NOT so easily deceived, and certainly NOT prone to knee-jerk violence(there will be no "American spring" fueled by social media); the PTB can keep trying to agitate and incite; and the well-financed Alex Jones' and Judeo-Christian-right Talk Radio clowns and pro-family World Net Daily K-street lobbying groups selling the Left Behind rapture hoax can keep making MONEY off the angst of potential gun confiscation, protection for Israel being a Christian DUTY, and the end times prophecy ruse...but me...and a few other lowly grounded folks...we'll just keep pushing KNOWLEDGE of the Bible and American history, and we'll keep educating folks as best we can WITHOUT all the pomp and circumstance and great swelling words meant to deceive the hearts of the simple.

Today is February 13; here's a verse from Proverbs Chapter 13 ...

Proverbs 13:7 There is that maketh himself rich, yet hath nothing: there is that maketh himself poor, yet hath great riches.

Christ's TRUE church is NOT a money-making operation; it is a soul-winning MINISTRY...learn and discern folks...the sincerity of what we want for our posterity is obvious; and it's NOT the vanity that comes from the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh, and the pride of life after selling people FALSE hope!

Just a couple points...

Alex actually supports the post-trib/mid-week view of the rapture, not the Left Behind version of things.

And yes, no man knows the hour or the day of His precise moment of returning to earth, yet He gave specific things for us to look for to know that it was quickly approaching (Matt 24). So I think we should be on watch for this, without over-sensationalizing every rumor, holding it lightly, and not ignoring the important day to day things we need to be engaged in.

people are making $$$

Alex and others are making merchandise out of people...that's my CHIEF objection...and it is my intention to be a thorn in the side of those who care more about their personal wealth agenda than righting America and increasing Christ's Kingdom....

It's gonna be offensive to many, but....oh.well, each man has an individual responsibility to find the truth for themselves so they can be reconciled with the Creator...

...it is definitely something to watch out for, being taken advantage of through sensationalism/fear. To not be alert for the things Christ mentioned to watch for, because of always falling back on 'neither the day nor the hour' could also be an error. Of course, some of our fellow believers think that all of these things already happened back in the Roman days. Someday we'll know. :)

This will be on the most contentious list today!

Have to agree it was a horrible video. However, Catholicism is one of the main players if not THE main player in the one world government---think about it---to have a one world government we will have to have a one world religion.

Christians should not be warmongers! http://www.lewrockwell.com/vance/vance87.html

You know what is really terrifying?

The stupidity of that video, that's what. Not even a basic knowledge of grammar, much less knowledge about religion. Pure sensationalism with anti-Catholic bigotry throughout. What an ignorant waste of space and time!

Doug Stanhope's view of the Pope,

What's terrifying to me is

What's terrifying to me is that I live in a world where adults believe in santa clause, the easter bunny, and god. They brainwash their children from birth that if they don't believe in nonsense they will be tortured in hell for eternity. BTW, Doug Stanhope is a comedian, he does not have to worry about grammar only that some people think he's funny and unlike god, he exists.

So, you beleive we came from

So, you beleive we came from pond scum?

Comedians.. what a joke?

It feels like now a days comedians have been subliminal messages for their own agenda and they persuade people through laughter in which makes people easier to believe. And they complain about conservatives pushing their views, liberals are no different only they're sneakier.

Pope Ratz knows all the pedophilia dirt

... if he so much as steps outside the boundary of the Vatican he could be forced to testify on the litany of widespread satanic child abuse in the Catholic Church worldwide. Therefore the Vatican has arranged for Ratzy to live out his days in the compound to prevent the truth from coming out. The Catholic Church is cursed for eternity until they fully expose the awful truth and severely punish the perps in their ranks. Apologists for this disgrace can all go to hell.

By its Fruits will you know

Christ said, "Judge a tree by the fruit that it bears; by its fruit will you KNOW whether the tree be good or evil." Not by what they say. The FACTS speak for themselves. In fact it is SO obvious; unless you are one of the "blind being led by the blind" (ALL heading straight for the Pit) and "there are none so blind as those who do not WANT to see"; that the FACTS don't just speak; they SCREAM at you (2 Thessalonians 2:8-12 )

Bowing Down to Graven Images

Why do they have "Graven Images" of a Cross and a worthless human body (John 6:63) like The Christ used? It is because that is where they want to keep Christ. Outside, on the Cross, and dead, where He can cause them no trouble (like all pagan idols), instead of alive and inside, living in their hearts and minds, guiding their steps and lives, 24 hrs. a day, with His Light of TRUTH and burning out all evil (lies) with His fiery (not watery) baptism; just like Paul said (Galatians 2:20).

The popes claim to be the closest person to God, when God Himself says, through Christ, that they are the "lowest of the low", and it is written in Matt. 5 v 19 and Luke 13 v 25-27. "Anyone who breaks the least of the COMMANDments and teaches others to do the same (e.g. bowing down to graven images) is the least in the Kingdom of heaven."- COMMANDment 2, in The Bible, says, "YOU shall NOT create a graven image of ANYTHING that is in HEAVEN or on the earth or under the earth or in the sea and YOU shall NOT bow down and worship them.

"Its easier to fool people than to convince them that they have been fooled."
Mark Twain

You took the words

right out of my mouth. People get in trouble with graven images, whether it's Jesus on a cross or otherwise, because they tend to worship the image rather than the creator.

It's *NOT* worship!

The reason Christ's body is on a catholic crucifix is an acknowledgment of suffering in this world. Christ suffered, and He has asked us and expects us to take up our crosses as He took up His. Suffering did not end because He rose. He is with us in our sufferings, and seeing His body on the cross reminds us of that as well. There is no suffering that He can't understand, because He experienced it all.

Once again (I've written this before in other posts), images used in catholic churches, like crucifixes and statues of saints or stained glass windows, etc. are *not* worshiped!!!. They do *aid* worship, but they are not worshiped themselves. Having statues of saints, for example, is a lot like having pictures of loved ones in one's home. Do you love the pictures, or do you love your loved ones? If you don't love the pictures themselves, then why bother having the pictures? Because they are loving reminders of those whom you love, aren't they? As I said, with the crucifix, it reminds us of the concepts that Our Lord suffered - and continues to suffer in His heart - pain from our sin, that human existence contains suffering, and that He is with us in our suffering especially because He experienced it firsthand.

Michael, the Archangel, defend us in battle. Mary, Our Mother, protect us under your mantle.

bad art

That picture with the red lighting does look ominous but in other lighting it is simply big expensive bad art. IMO bad art is a plague in the post Vatican II church. Maybe the Pope likes it. Maybe he hates it too but decided not to try to fight the battle to get rid of it. He may not have had a lot of say over it.

FYI: The pope does not control everything. There are career "Vaticanocrats" who control day to day machinery. The pope has to get em to do what he wants. As anybody who has spent time in a rectory knows, these folks to not walk in lock step.

Oh, for the love of......

First, Catholics DO NOT believe that there will be a throne built for Lucifer. I was raised Catholic and I can guarantee you that my family would have no idea what the idiot in the video was talking about. Nor, do most Catholics believe in the "end times" BS. The Book of Revelations didn't exist until the late 19th Century and it was not in the Bible until the mid 20th (written by Rothschild-funded researchers, by the way, in the late 1800's). I even went to a Catholic school and we had 2 years of Bible study and we didn't get anywhere near that.

Next, I'm sure the Vatican has been hit by lightning thousands of times. Many large buildings or large complexes get hit often. More wicked stupidity.....

Finally, if you let scary music and a sculpture in a youtube video influence your thinking, you need to reevaluate the world. How about you teach someone, a sheep in your family or at work, about the Federal Reserve tomorrow instead? That would be as start.

"In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot."--Mark Twain

Your words:

"The Book of Revelations didn't exist until the late 19th Century and it was not in the Bible until the mid 20th (written by Rothschild-funded researchers, by the way, in the late 1800's)."

Do not ring true to my understanding of the Book of Revelation.

The Gutenburg Bible was the first printing press Bible and is dated 1450 and contains Revelation: http://molcat1.bl.uk/treasures/gutenberg/record.asp .

Martin Luther disputed Revelation in the 1500's and then later accepted it.

The book is quoted by early church fathers in the 2nd century and the writing of Revelation is in the 1st century. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Book_of_Revelation

These are just a few things I dug up this morning. I am by no means a scholar, but do not at all question the authenticityy of the book of Revelation.

Hey, Granger:

Is this true? Catholics don't believe in the end times and the Book of Revelation wasn't in the Bible prior to the mid 20th century? I cannot find any confirmation of these statements.
