Do we want a Huckleberry Victory in SC Tonight?
I want to see McCain stopped. Huckleberry can only win the southern states. I would rather not see McCain win in the south.
But what are your thoughts?
Of course we want Carolinians to vote Ron Paul to win, but the polls are saying that would be an unlikely event.
Update: No Roben, I am not a Huckster plant as you can see by my record. In fact, I am very disappointed that Ron Paul isn't shaking hands with the staff and visitors of the big Olympia Garden strip joint in Las Vegas tonight. That would have won him a ton more votes than he probably got from visiting Bob Jones University in South Carolina yesterday. :-)
Lew Rockwell says that a McCain victory tonight would knock Huckabee and Thompson out of the race and seal Julie Annie's fate as well. This would leave McCain, Romney and Paul in the race. Paul would climb into solid double digits before the February 5th votes in 21 states.
So maybe we want to see McCain slaughter the field tonight while Ron Paul ends up doing much better than predicted.
(By the way, DP is extremely slow today. Maybe there is a huge influx of traffic here?)

Since huck wants to appoint the president of the (evil) CFR to be either his running mate or in his cabinet the above posted statement should be flagged as offensive and be removed from this site now.
Any one that believes the "lies"*** (words) *** that huckabee or any other CFR candidate says as they are campaigning does not understand that the ****eastern establishment*** allows "their chosen candidates" to say anything they want to win the election.
For them truth is unimportant. Only controlling the outcome of the elections.
The eastern establishment ***encourages them to deceive*** the American people during the campaign.
After they get elected they are ***required*** to appoint the CFR (Rockafeller and Kissinger) choices to ***advise (control) them*** on international and national and economic and interior and internal affairs of this nation.
If it happens to benefit the American people its ok, and if it happens to be against the best interests of the American people too bad.

I would rather see McCain win SC than Huckabee. I think Huckabee would be more dangerous to the US than McCain. Huckabee is a big government conservative who wants a FairTax that would inevitably lead to a National ID card. McCain has his faults too but he not as bad as Huckabee. Anybody but Huckabee would be OK in my opinion.

I think I disagree with that...
If McCain wins I'm afraid they'll say he's the frontrunner. How are people voting for this warmonger?? I don't think Huckleberry can get a foothold if he wins....he's very scary to half of the Republican base and no way can he win a general election...although I really don't think any Republican can but Ron Paul.
I am more concerned about Rudy than McCain
in the long run. McCain has a great deal of opposition from within the republican base, even more than Rudy from what I understand, and will have a difficult time in a brokered convention. Plus, the biggest warmonger will not win the general election. Rudy and Romney will slide with the times on their trail of slime but McCain is tied to this war to the end. Let McCain have his 15 minutes so he can ruin Rudy before he has a chance to gain a foothold in Florida. Fred, will be out. Huckabee will be the next to fall, then McCain, and finally Romney. We can use our enemies against eachother as we make our steady climb to the top!

There is plenty for evangelicals to like about Dr Paul. I am an evangelical Bible believing (that means I don't believe in evolution, 6 day creation, Jesus is the way to heaven, etc) and I think the ONLY vote for anyone who is HONEST is Dr Paul. I can find a single issue that pertains to the federal govt and the presdiency that I disagree with Dr Paul.

I am really hoping Paul can pull top four somehow or upset into the third spot. That, coupled with a top two in Nevada would really get some notice.
Back to McCain or Huckabee. I can't stand either one of them. The question is who is more likely to bow out if they lose, then hope for that one to win.

If either of these two extremist clowns get the nomination, the Democrats will stomp them in the general election so badly (probably 65%-35%) that the modern Republican party might be fatally wounded.

Ron Paul winning it all sounds better. For whatever reason, the "official" campaign does not seem worried about other candidate's momentum.....I guess the implication being that we shouldn't either.
The time to stop John McCain was in IOWA. If Ron Paul had at least beaten him, he would probably have not won NH and would not even be in this race right now. Unfortunately, that train left the station and here we are.
