Wash. state bill would make almost all gun owners criminals
Submitted by ecard71 on Thu, 02/14/2013 - 01:16Washington state Sens. Ed Murray (D), Jeanne Kohl-Welles (D) and Adam Kline (D) have introduced new gun control legislation that goes far above and beyond what anyone would consider a simple sales ban.
The bill, S.B. 5737, proposes "banning the sale of assault weapons." According to the legislation, an "assault weapon" is any semiautomatic pistol, pump-action rifle or shotgun that can accept a detachable magazine, with the capacity to accept more than 10 rounds. Any magazine that accepts over 10 rounds itself will also be banned.
Also included in the definition is any rifle or shotgun with a pistol grip, a stock of any kind, a muzzle brake or muzzle compensator. The bill also prohibits the manufacturing, possessing, purchasing, selling or transferring of an assault weapons "conversion kit."

what are the chances of this passing in Washington State?
It's sad, that a state that is willing to become more free in some areas (legalizing MJ) are so clueless in other areas of freedom such as the second amendment. Do they not realize their power to keep their freedoms, such as the freedom to inhale MJ is only possible because the 2nd amendment exists.
Who knows?
This is a very socially liberal state but constitutionally not very good.
One of the same state senators (Kline) who supports this gun bill also wants a state income tax here.
I drilled him one on one in his office at the capitol in Olympia last week.
I didn't change his mind, but I sure gave him a piece of mine.

They will not give up
until we are disarmed. Only tyrants want to disarm law abiding citizens.
I would really like to hear the information being shared with all these state and local politicians that are getting them to go along with this crime.
I know why Wash.DC wants this agenda.
The locals are being fed something to cause them to believe that if we have firearms in american homes that somehow it will be horrible.
What are they being told?

Don't you
and I know it, Sir!
If you've ever wondered which state has the most Obama/Biden bumper stickers, look no further than WA. *sigh*
If you flip these people off, they will just wave at you.
Lima-1, out.
If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.
Bump
Who keeps electing these people?
Washington rolls out red carpet for thieves and burglars!
Calls for police protection from helpless citizens will swell overstuffed police department budgets.
Free includes debt-free!
Isn't that the goal?
Helpless serfs will need more government protection, so the government will then have an obligation to hire more cops, build more drones, and proactively arrest possible criminals.
To pay for the "protection" taxes will go up, but of course crime will also go up, because you always need a reason for more protection.
BUMP.
BUMP.

We need to change the name of this state from Washington...
...to Wilson. The state of Wilson.
WE DON'T DESERVE to be called Washington anymore. We're not worthy of the name of the best U.S. president ever.
But we ARE deserving of being named after the WORST president ever.
I live in Wilson State.
Outside of not having a state income tax YET - WA is one of the highest taxed states - with the most welfare.
That's why so many single moms move here and keep procreating for more state money.
WILSON State.
I think I'll introduce a proposal to change the name.

I feel you. I see what you mean.
I feel you. I see what you mean.
Yes, it's UTTER SHAME.
I can't say anything that'd really bring consolation.
Let's keep standing, denouncing.
AFAIC, I'm preparing for action.
And that'll be for this year.
It's time to use the first Amendment with STRENGTH.
Before everybody uses FORCE and VIOLENCE against others in this country.
And by "everybody": starting with the STATE's brown shirts.
Peace.

At what point does infringement become infringement?
How much more of this limitation, or proposed limitation, before it gets recognized as the infringement it is?
How much more weakening can the 2nd amendment take before there is no strength left for it to serve its purpose?
