The message
When the truth is being told, the most crucial aspect is not the speaker, or their motives, it is the truth that is being spoken.
When lies are being told, the most crucial aspect is not the lies, but the speaker and their motives.

Glen beck...
only says that shit when its not an election year. Then, he ponys up to the suck israel's dick table and starts blowing.
"he ponys up to the suck
"he ponys up to the suck israel's dick table and starts blowing."
so, are you saying beck is a contrarian on israel because he blows when it's a suck table? i'm confused. lol.
jk. i'm drunk.
Glenn Beck is still
evolving. I hope the same can be said for some of you.
I started watching Glenn Beck about 5 years ago on Fox. He was the only one other than Judge Napolitano and John Stossel, who tried to tell it like it was, considering the constraints of MSM placed on them. I listened to him preach about God and the bible; watched him support the Constitution, and then say maybe we need to change the Constitution. I heard him lamenting the government leadership, the economic disaster of the economy, the corruption and worry about preparing for a SHTF scenario. I also was watching when he seemed to think RonP was a nut case, then worth listening to, then get furious over the live by/die by the sword comment.(And btw, I also understand where RonP was coming from, although a little harsh for the moment. He does not believe in violence period unless all other peaceful avenues have been tried. He would however, answer with all we have should our Republic be attacked. He would have closed our 900 basses in 160(?) countries, saving trillions of $, brought back our military and strengthed our defenses at home. He would have closed those "5 " departments of the gov and used the money from both to get our Republic back on a solid footing. He said it would be rough for a year or so(I think a long "or so"). He also recognized he would need help from Congress.
Glenn is evolving. He has made the comment that they have made mistakes on the show but have readily admitted it. From my point of view, I wish he wouldn't sound so damned certain and then turn around and recant. The language used on the show also bothers me. On the other hand, if you listen enough, and have already done your own research for the truth, you will recognize he is moving in the right direction and you will begin to know the truth. You will learn things on his show you will never see anywhere else
Rand is, I believe, a good guy and Ron Paul has said Rand is a better politician. I am and have been supporting both and will continue to do so.
Amazing that people here on
Amazing that people here on the DP are praising Elizabeth Warren who is a proud socilaist for asking 1 good question, yet are bashing Glenn Beck for a positive thing he said. I'm not a glenn beck fan, I recognize that he is not a libertarian...just wanted to point out the inconsistency of some people here. Sheesh.
I know, don't you love it
I know, don't you love it though. Glenn Beck may be a late bloomer, but Warren is really the antithetical to the freedom movement.
Her policies are the ones that caused a lot of what she is going after. It's like the mob breaking your windows and then offering to fix them and protect you in the future from more broken windows.

No, this is good!
Let it get jammed into people's heads.

Thank you!
I'm always thinking of arguments like that in my head, it feels good to put it down on (digital) paper once in a while :P
hrmm
Why is this bad? Know it for what it is, but don't denigrate it. This is good, even the hardcore beckians (there are a lot) will now more closely endorse this idea. That's a good thing.
"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty."
NOT BY WHAT THEY SAY...
BUT BY THEIR DEEDS YOU WILL KNOW THEM.
Beck is a fraud
Less than 4 months ago Beck was chief cheer leader for that amazing libertarian Romney. How you can go from Romney to libertarian in less than 4 months beats me!
My personal turn around has
My personal turn around has been rather swift. Once your eyes open and you see clearly, there is no going back. Things are happening rather quick and the walls of illusion are crumbling at a fever pace.
For it before he was against it
For it before he was against it before he was for it?
glenn beck is a grade a ron paul ripoff
Anyone who has closely followed his "transformation" knows that he is the high priest in the church of demagoguery.
Sorry to the poster below me...but he isnt "waking up" he is trying to corral people who are slowly waking up and lead them astray. Confuse, divide/distract whatever you want to call it.....if you had watched the guy since the beginning you'd also know he never said a peep about the constitution, freedom and liberty, founding fathers, bill of rights, the fed etc etc etc before Obama got into office. Once he saw Ron Paul was catching on he, (or his handlers) seized the opportunity to jump ahead and be a pied piper for the neocons.
Im really quite fascinated by the guy. Go to my account and read my GB post from 2009 where I was pointing out how he was doubling down on his attempt to hijack the tea party.....the guy now calls himself a libertarian. He constantly cites Hayak, Rothbard and Mises. He constantly cites MLK and GHANDI as being his heroes....he talks about precious metal and the fed/hyperinflation etc....and now he is saying bring the troops home??? Who is he starting to sound like? Anyone? Aaaah thats right! Ron Paul!.......hell ya. So he must have endorsed him and gives him props all the time right? Given that he just sorta adopted pretty much his whole philosophy.....eeeeeagh, no. He bashes him ANY chance he gets. Why?
Please question beck's motives as I am certain they are sinister, he is one of the more dangerous of the neocon propagandists because he has convinced so many people he is anything but.

You are
wrong. Glenn Beck did support the Constitution. See my response above.
I could care less what his
I could care less what his personal beliefs are. He is a conduit. He has a network with which to reach the masses. All I personally care is that his message is accurate and displayed genuine.
Glenn Beck is a paid actor.
Glenn Beck is a paid actor. He as well as all of the other actors talk great when the other party's guy is president and the next election is far away. Don't believe for one second someone isn't pulling his strings.
You mad bro?
No need to quit, this means we're winning!

Do you really think that
Do you really think that libertarians get huge audiences? The Judge couldn't even get more than 25K to watch his show on Fox, which si why it was cancelled. The only person who has some success is Stossel.
If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...
Stossel is only on once a
Stossel is only on once a week, not that many people have fox business channel or even know it exists
+1
Not much money in the message of Liberty, for either big government OR big business.
What can be said of a people who would sell their own children into slavery, using the rationale that it is to protect their freedom?
Right on
Obvious then why they want to do away with the Constitution. I think the fact that Ron Paul had 2/3 of the House members vote to audit the fed tells us, the more support for freedom and liberty, the more they come out of the woodwork to support it. I just hope it is time as it's not looking good.
The video is here before he
The video is here before he interviews Judge Napolitano. First 15 minutes. He sounds like Ron Paul now... better late than never.

Thanks for posting this video. Great stuff. Frustrating that he is just now coming out and saying this but its about time

Better late than never. How
Better late than never. How long did it take you to accept all libertarian ideas?
If you disagree with me on anything you are not a real libertarian...
How long? Almost 19 years
Well to start I am only 24 years old and my parents are diehard republicans.. I always considered myself 'republican' but never was too interested in politics because I couldn't agree with either side. I discovered Ron Paul on youtube in 2007 and it opened up my eyes to beliefs that I already had but never reflected enough to discover; my libertarian side. So it took me almost 19 years. I am very thankful that I did 'AWAKE' and I try and respectfully help others awake through intellectual conversations as often as possible. I say conversations, not debates, because I always try and keep my cool when others just get annoyed of being wrong and feeling anxious. Often people will disagree but cannot back up their beliefs with any substance. This usually helps my stance because they see how I keep my composure and stick to basic facts.. Anyways.
I wasn't ragging on Glenn for coming to know libertarians; I am happy that millions saw his interview with the judge. That is why I thanked you for posting the video. I have a new cautious respect for Glenn. for now

Maybe...
the establishment GOP is starting to get it after all: either support liberty, or no longer exist as a relevant party.
