Blowback in Progress: 92% of Pakistanis now dislike America...
Submitted by Ed Thinking on Thu, 02/14/2013 - 11:02With President Barack Obama's first term characterized by strained relations between Pakistan and the U.S., more than nine in 10 Pakistanis (92%) disapprove of U.S. leadership and 4% approve, the lowest approval rating Pakistanis have ever given.
Pakistanis' approval of the leadership of their ostensible ally, the United States, has historically been quite low. However, perceptions began to change, albeit modestly, through much of Obama's first term. As recently as May 2011, 27% of Pakistanis approved of U.S. leadership, the apex of support. Noticeably, approval declined after the May 2011 killing of Osama bin Laden, carried out by the U.S. military without the assistance of the Pakistani military -- an event that many Pakistanis viewed as a blatant disregard for Pakistani sovereignty.
Concurrently, Pakistanis now more than at any other time in the past three years feel threatened by interaction with the West, according to a May 12-June 6, 2012, survey. A majority (55%) say interaction between Muslim and Western societies is "more of a threat," up significantly from 39% in 2011. This sharp increase is observed at a time of heightened Pakistani concerns regarding U.S. encroachment on Pakistani sovereignty, including an intensified number of U.S. drone strikes in Pakistan, as well as the aforementioned May 2011 killing of bin Laden by the United States military. Thirty-one percent instead see interaction between Muslim and Western societies as "more of a benefit," and the other 13% are unsure.

I am sure it has nothing to
I am sure it has nothing to do with all the innocent men, women and children killed by U.S. drone strikes. After all,the Iraqi people were not upset when the U.S. military killed during the coarse of that war 1.4,000,000 men, women and children as well as because of the use of depleted uranium by the U.S. military 500,000 Iraqi babies were born deformed or because sanction by the U.S. against Iraq before the war in which 500,000 Iraqi children died from starvation and diseases. After all,Madeline AlBright when interviewed, said it was worth it.

What can be said of a people who would sell their own children into slavery, using the rationale that it is to protect their freedom?
8% of Pakistanis still like Americans?
Can you imagine how many Americans would like Pakistanis if Pakistan regularly massacred groups of Americans?
American leadership.

Your talking about the banks??
Only Paul seemed to point out why?

Just want what seems to be missing, Truth and Justice for ALL
What is fraud except creating “value” from nothing and passing it off as something?
The
other remaining 8% are probably the ones receiving foreign aid.
In America, Congress has a 9% approval rating
So maybe we're about even with the Pakistanis with a 91% disapproval rating and we're not being drone bombed yet.
To answer another question in the comments, many areas of Pakistan has blasphemy laws and converts to Christianity are sometime put to death or harassed to the extreme.
Still, no one deserves to be killed by a faceless coward, it sure doesn't do much for the Gospel of the Prince of Peace these gung-ho military worshipping christians purport to worship.

They dislike US leadership,
Well...
I would recommend mental
I would recommend mental health checks for the 8% that still like the US.
Iranian courts
legally condemn muslims who convert to Christianity to death. I wonder if Pakistan has the same law. I guess $6 billion USA aid does not buy us a friend.
lol ..
.. that's an hilarious bit of mythology. Great for the "evil Iranians must be massacred for their own good" game.
So, did you make this up yourself, or did you copy it from somewhere?
I sympathise with your sarcasm

Critical Thinking is Important...
Here's a few for you:

Shit like this REALLY cements my and almost everyone else's perception that you are a TROLL sent here to post inflammatory NONSENSE... Please stop getting your ideas from televised news! Please take the time to read past the Headlines and ask yourself questions like:
"What could they NOT be telling me?"
"Why would they want me to be OUTRAGED with Iran?"
"What Reason would our Government/"News Outlets" have for creating hostilities between our two nations?"
"Why are Iranians... the "Bad" people?"
"What is the HISTORY between America and Iran?"
"Where could I go to find out more than just what they tell me on "FOX" or "MSNBC" or "CBS" or Any of the Mainstream Media Outlets?"
"Maybe there is more to this story than you know?"
Honestly, any of these important Critical Thinking Questions would be a good launching point.
Sincerely,
Victor Escobar
