Was Sonny Bono Assassinated For Trying To Expose Government Corruption?

I saw a thread early on DP about Sonny Bono and did a little searching and came across this. Did Sonny die in an accident or was he killed for trying to expose high ranking U.S. military and government officials he claimed were raking in millions from arms and drug deals in Central America and Southeast Asia? Hmmm Food for thought and it wouldn't surprise me one bit! The plots and conspiracies constantly keep unraveling thanks to the net.

Sold a bunch of helmets. Because helmet is what you need to protect you from assassination...
I learned to ski in my 30's, so I was a noob when this happened. A Kennedy died the same way, I never checked into it. Being a Kennedy, it may be safe to assume...
Anyway, I pretty much suck at skiing and even I can avoid trees.
