According to Thomas Sowell, the three questions that will destroy MOST OF the arguments on the left (for new policies / regulations / laws):

1. "Compared TO WHAT ?"

2. "At WHAT COST ?"

3. "What HARD EVIDENCES do you have ?"

...

IMO: point nailed.
