Anybody else proud of Rand?

I have watched a majority of the media Rand has been on in the past day. Huge kudos to Rand. His first national issue was whether the President has the power to kill Americans. His argument is something that is absolutely critical! I dont see Rove or Rubio stepping up to the plate on an issue like this.

Anyone else proud of Rand?

Same here.

when he endorsed Mitt Romney it was obvious to me and to any normal person that his dad didn't have enough delegates to win (even if dirty tricks hadn't been used against them). I said so at the time here in the Daily Paul, and got minused down about 20 points. So I'm afraid a lot of people here were delusional.

Apparently, delusions die hard.

"Alas! I believe in the virtue of birds. And it only takes a feather for me to die laughing."

Im guilty..

And I may have voted your post down. What I realized afterward is that although Rand does not speak to us.. What he did do is create another PR disaster amongst his most ardent supporters. Had Rand had someone with any fucking common sense, they would have made sure that Rand spoke directly to us through the Judge or at least Cavuto DIRECTLY AFTER ANNOUNCING HIS SUPPORT OF ROMNEY ON HANNITY.

That is what pissed me off more than anything. That is a failure of leadership in my eyes. Rand would have never had a chance in hell of winning a Senate seat w/o us.

Ill say it for the millionth fkn time. We matter. We all busted our asses. Rand or his PR should have understood how to handle the situation instead of dividing us.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

THis is *exactly* how I feel after busting my backside for...

a certain Oklahoman Senator!

I don't believe it made any difference.

When Ginsberg came to our District Caucus in May and interfered with the National Delegate Process, I figured something was up.

At Michigan State Convention, the Secretary of State gave a troubling report about voter registration rolls. Preliminary studies showed some individuals with active registrations in several states.

What was demonstrated is that the Two Party cartel has monopoly control of the Election process. In short the political process is broken and agendas are delivered from the masters to the grassroots.

C4L has tried to be a top-down organization. The process began with conversion from meet-up groups. The training provided by the campaign was top down and the transition to C4L only intensified that approach by blacklisting, wink wink.

C4L, by the start of 2012 was GOPlite. All the control from the top, same contempt for the grassroots.

Well. What the heck. There is still a message to spread. When a majority come to crave liberty, the tables will turn.

Over the past couple of decades about half of the eligible voters withheld consent for government.

Free includes debt-free!

Are we in the same C4L?

Are we in the same C4L? The one I'm in spends a lot of time training people and planning/executing state and local political stuff with some national. It's been hugely successful. Justin Amash got elected with the help of a lot of the state C4L people. I don't live on his side of the state but a lot of our local people helped out even.

I just moved back to Michigan in December

I'm on the opposite side of the state from Amash as well (metro Detroit). My interest in getting involved grows by the day. Can you point me in the right direction so I can learn more about the local happenings?

if you sign up at campaignforliberty.com, you'll get emails about meetings and stuff. I'm not in Wayne so Im not sure when they meet.

Thank you.

It's a good thing I clicked that link. At first I thought it stood for military industrial complex for Liberty.

Great job Michigan!

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

If you are photographed...

with a yarmulke at the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem, then you have sold your soul to the devil, and you have lost me forever!

Untold thousands of tourists

get their picture taken at the Wailing Wall with that cardboard hat on their heads. It's no big deal!

not my man by a long shot

rand says that he wants "a little less aggressive foreign policy"
what does that mean, that the US should kill a little less civilians?
good grief.

of course he's entitled to his view, and yes he is good on some other issues in his senate work,
but the romney endorsement and stumping for him (even now he claims respect for romney!) his remarks about israel. proud of him? hardly

Im all ears..

so who is?

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

for me

so far it's the judge. remember ron paul picked him for his veep. a man of peace is what's needed, the country even agrees according to polls, certainly not someone who would vote for sanctions (act of war according to ron paul) that will result in the death and sickness of women, elderly and children. what kind of a man votes for that? twice.

ron paul recently said in a humorous way that maybe he'd even run again someday.

Not mine either.

I will be following your posts more attentively.
; )

Nor mine

either. Much time to evaluate other candidates for POTUS (republican and otherwise).

Yea because yelling i hate Israel will certainly win him an election. He is making libertarians sound less fringe, what you have to understand we have had 100 years if progressive policies so anything different sounds fringe it has to be nicely wrapped.

nobody said anything about hate

that's your word.

Same Markings.

What is so great about Rand?
He,like all the others,is afraid to mention the latest corruption by the SCOUS pertaining to Barry`s true allegiance. He is afraid!! and therefore like all the others, and not special,at all.

Fed Up Vet

Stop Focusing So Much On Rand

You seem to really need someone to follow. Personally, I don't. I don't think liberty can be won by putting all hope and focus on a person or group. Liberty and freedom has to be won one person at a time. It must be very frustrating for you to keep hoping a savior will step up and save us all from tyranny. YOU have to be the savior. I have to be the savior. WE ALL have to be the saviors of freedom! Spend more time trying to educate anyone you can and less time worrying about who's going to be the next symbolic puppet in the whitehouse. The whitehouse is just more of the matrix of BS. Learn to grow your own food, learn to live off the grid, learn to build housing without debt, learn to keep healthy without doctors, learn to be self-sufficient and pass that info on. THAT is what will save us. Not some douchebag politician. I believe in Ron Paul but he is doing a greater good by waking up the youth that have been indoctrinated than he ever could have done as president. STOP BEING BRAINWASHED with the need for politicians to save you! Can't you see that by staying in that parameter of thought that you are still enslaved to tptb? THEY are the ones that want us all to think that voting is the answer, that government is the be all and that we MUST have a fearless leader up there championing our cause. Break away from that and use your energy to make REAL change by LIVING free instead of waiting for someone to give you freedom!

Thats a powerful statement.

Ghandi was a leader. MLK was a leader. George Washington was a leader.

Im not brainwashed. Leadership is about inspiring people and working towards a unified goal. I am looking for leadership within our movement because we need it. We are going to need it to win. We will need it to reach our goals. Without a 'spokesman' we will be as effective as herding cats.

I have lived free my entire life. Quit being condescending. Jerk.

'Peace is a powerful message.' Ron Paul

Beauts skippy d!!

Perfectly stated!

Hell, no!

Talk is cheap. It's real easy to be "libertarian"now. Where was he when it counted? Up Rombamas ass.

Why not focus on winning people over?

If we had a large enough amount of people in America and the world united behind our shared principles, and demanded strict adherence to said principles over politics or parties, then the politicians would truly have to represent us or find themselves out of a job and irrelevant. We can make progress every single day if we focus on winning hearts and minds. Here is a suggestion on how to do it:We get one or two great short ads/videos that promote our shared values of truth, freedom, and peace.Maybe have a few quotes of Ron Paul in there.Just picture a short video explaining why we should bring our troops home, have sound money, cut taxes and spending, balance the budget, end the drug war and give power to the individual while promoting truth,freedom,peace,non-aggression and voluntary humanitarian help to our fellow man. Then we have a money bomb only to DIRECTLY purchase airtime for said ad/video.We vote with our dollars on which video is best. Then we have a "time bomb"(lol) where we all donate our time and focus our efforts spreading the video on facebook, twitter, youtube etc.Keeping it front page on the DP would surely help. Then we fine tune our efforts to make sure we are winning people over. And as long as we see it is working,we NEVER stop. With the "time bomb" method,we could make our message go viral on the internet, nationwide and worldwide, without asking people for money. With the right videos and a united effort by us,I am convinced this would work.In my opinion, this is how we win.Anyone got a better idea?I'm all ears.

You think that the only thing

You think that the only thing we need to do is run two tv ads and drop some pamphlets?

I think winning more people over is the most important thing.

And because of that,I made a suggestion on how to win more people over.If anyone has a better idea on how to accomplish this,I would love to hear it.

agreed but it's one

agreed but it's one dimensional. Not only do we need to do more to win than just win people over, but we need to win people over in more ways. The list is long but talking, posting, door knocking and meeting going are four ways. TV ads will be run. The thing to remember with TV ads is too, 30 seconds of our programming when no one is watching.... 22 minutes of theirs when people are.

Anyway, we need Rand politicking to the White House too. And other things.

Rand Paul's situation has happened before

Anne-Robert-Jacques Turgot, Baron de Laune (10 May 1727 – 18 March 1781) great French economist to king Louis XVI, and statesman.

He is criticised for being too rash in pushing Libertarianism too quickly while surrounded and outnumbered by neocons and those dependent on government largesse, causing him to be removed from a position of influence.

Criticism of the methods used by current Libertarian office holders should ideally come from folks familiar with what these people are up against, and what has worked, or not worked in the past.

"Timid men prefer the calm of despotism to the tempestuous sea of liberty" TJ

Rand could be worse I guess

He seems to be a typical duplicitous politician, but at least he talks about the right issues more than most.

We all want progress, but if you're on the wrong road, progress means doing an about-turn and walking back to the right road; in that case, the man who turns back soonest is the most progressive.

-C. S. Lewis

I was really disappointed in

I was really disappointed in Rand's reply to the SOTU, in which he talked about adhering to the Constitution right after talking about keeping the government involved in education! In the same reply, his foreign policy stance also seemed to be 'cut foreign aid, but only some of it', without any hint of ending the unjust wars or American imperialism.
