What are cycles of history?
Submitted by Brian Frank on Fri, 02/15/2013 - 21:42'The average age of the world's greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'
'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed through the following sequence:
1. From bondage to spiritual faith;
2. From spiritual faith to great courage;
3. From courage to liberty;
4. From liberty to abundance;
5. From abundance to complacency;
6. From complacency to apathy;
7. From apathy to dependence;
8. From dependence back into bondage'
I believe we are between 7 and 8

I thought this was supposed to be
the Stages of a Democracy which typically doesn't last more than 200 years. I believe we're already there - in Bondage that is. Considering we have fallen into plutocratic slavery by accepting the social security system as us citizens. We are nothing more than chattel until we have a spiritual awakening large enough to break through and back to FREEDOM again. Kind of like the exodus. Even when they were delivered from slavery they didn't know what to do with their freedom. Thus the Lord left them wandering for forty years because they had no faith?! It was right there for the taking all along. As for us, we have the numbers because the power is in in the people, as a whole, we just don't realize it yet.
I'd say between 2 and 3 as well.

we are way past that
several years we might be there again
I am one for living in each phase simultaneously.
Simultaneously you may too!
I have personally lived through many ages & written my experiences all along the way. As I age, it dawns on me that I remember more than could have possibly happened. Rewriting my history is a bother. Consequently, I will let my record fend for itself.

Apathy to dependence
Is there a correlation between the rise and fall of empire and the solar cycles. Case in point - The end of the Maunder cycle and rise of a new empire.
I appreciate your work
Nice work, Brian
