Great Depression Ketchup Soup and the purchase of Heinz Ketchup by Warren Buffet - a precursor to the next DepressionSubmitted by joeinmo on Sat, 02/16/2013 - 00:41
One thing that sold in the great depression was catsup (Ketchup), they made soup, put it on bread and it pretty much fed the poor. Its cheap to make and cheap to buy.
So Warren Buffet buys Heinz Ketchup out of the blue or does he think it's a great product to own when everybody is homeless and on the streets?
Of course John Kerry' family made a fortune on Heinz, maybe some insider info.
