ALERT!

ALERT! ...
and here we were,
three days from impact.

the playground swings gesturing in plaits of air,
voices of children now gone from there,
and there were two Suns in the sky,
one girthing the other more with each dawn from night...

the store shelves were surprisingly stocked,
the essentials were victim to the early flock,
when our Sun stood witness,
to the trespasser on the crest,
of an ancestral trajectory bore over our west...

the tills were full of wood transformed,
each denomination scorned,
even the alter was without host,
for they gather two days early their ghost,
to embrace, love and remember...childhood and more.

The event of the meteor strike in Russia is not a sign,
it is an opportunity...to realize great change in ourselves,
and own the day for the better of our children.

enjoy.

There's a down vote

Assassin on this sight. It's happened to me on replies that were in no way controversial.

Yes, Klinker. Whatever happens to us by "meteors", drones,

earthquakes or currency collapse, we should not be scandalized by "the impact". We will quietly and stubbornly "own the day for the better of our children". . . although I do wish the host, our manna, to remain in the altar until the very end of our journeys through this wasteland :-)

Thank You

Thank you for sharing your creative work with the community here on dailypaul, as well as with me as an individual. Have you ever been published? It's very beautiful and I think that you should publish it, for our children to read, and their children. Stay inspired and may god bless you.

klinker, at 00:52 AM NOBODY is awake enough to

truly appreciate a poetry! ;-) I love this, btw: I'll definitely revisit this thread tomorrow morning with a mug of coffee.

The DP is infamous for the down-voting of poetry

Ask LL.

Wonderful creation, klinker.

Thanks.

Happens all the time.

Happens all the time.

I never liked the up/downvote system. Not just on the DP, but in general. I noticed it can often lead (not always, of course) to some bias, either way. A trend of downvotes can degenerate, just as trends of upvotes can, too.

If it were me only, I'd have either nothing or only an upvote system (no downvoting possibility).

Thus, a very disapproved post would just have its number of votes equal to zero, that'd show that really no-one agrees or appreciates (at all).

A "lame" post would have only a few votes.

At the other end, outstanding posts would have huge numbers of votes.

But again, I don't pay much attention to votes, rather, to the quality of comments instead (to my taste, anyway - always subjective).

Sorry for this digression. ;)
