An idea for a new feature on the DPSubmitted by fishyculture on Sat, 02/16/2013 - 15:56
There are a couple of videos I have watched today, brave men who deserve to get more respect for who they ARE. Instead, people focus on who they WERE. I want people to try to get a grip on how bad the generational "divide and conquer" tactics are, and rather than re-invent the wheel, I refer you to an old post of mine that illustrates my point.
Now, the sad thing is, we are in serious danger of losing the wisdom these elders have gained. Wouldn't it be awesome to have the "guest thread" hour, maybe once a week? I think it would take a dedicated moderator, but I don't think it would cost anything else, just a vigilant hour of Nystrom's or his appointee's time. (I do think a few extra ground rules might need to apply, if they are willing to show up here, people should refrain from swearing at them or being total butts or get kicked off the forum until it is over.) And rather than require they set up accounts, dedicate a "guest" username that the moderator allows them to log in under for the evening, then changes the password.
Imagine if we could sit here and quiz Reince Preibus, or David Duke, or Tom Woods or Adam Kokesh... I think many of them would come hang out here for an hour and chat with us. I think if we behaved ourselves it might become a very sought-after chance to speak, actually. No travel, the entire thing captured for posterity without special AV equipment, and real-time interaction with people who want to know the truth...
What do you guys think?
