Awesome interview. Sticky at the top of the front page for a while please!
What a great interview. I wish it was video in person.
Would love to see them all together on video.
outstanding segment
if it comes down to the question: is govt the problem or the solution? smiley & west sound like they
believe govt is both. how does that work?
i was pleased to hear dr. paul make the distinction between libertarians and conservatives.
This is where Ron Paul shines.
He went into the belly of the beast! He's great at this. Hopefully he'll have time to do more.

Good interview
I don't agree with Dr West and Mr Tavis Smiley on all issues. But I have no questions about their honesty, integrity and genuine concerns for poverty. They treat Dr Paul with great respect (as they always do) unlike most politicians and media Pundits. One thing is for certain, the world is better place with these 3 men and I am grateful for their fearless stance against corporatism and tyranny.
My computer gave me a warning
My Kaspersky anti-virus program says that site has a trojan. So I didn't go there. Any problems with it?
no problems
but i use linux....
Linux huh?
Linux any good? I was wondering if you would be able to game with it if possible.
looks like someone has already provided a good response
Gaming is coming along on Linux, but most of the new games are still going to be windows and console only. You can run some games like Diablo3 and Star craft 2 in linux via emulation but results may vary depending on your rig and configuration. To play the latest games, I just dual boot between linux and windows. When I need to do work stuff or just fool around on the net, I use linux as I am more efficient with it.
Linux isn't for everyone (at least at this time). There is a bit of learning curve. But once you understand how linux works and get the basics of how the package managers work, its actually easier to use then windows believe it or not. And getting easier. Open source model I believe is the future. Getting on board now, could put you ahead of the curve =).
Glad to see people more interested. Thanks for asking about it.
Gaming on Linux is getting big...
Gaming on Linux is getting BIG. Its always had support from ID and all their games like the quake series always had linux versions, but now we have full support of Steam on Linux and a huge library of top notch games such the half-life and 'source' engine games like Counter-Strike and any game company on steam can now easily market their games to the linux community.

There was agreement ,Congress isn't likely to help.
West knows of Alexis de Tocqueville tyranny of the majority. He seems familiar with Zinn's People's history of the US and how the elites of the day worked to gain control from the beginning.
Putting the Fox in charge of guarding the henhouse is not a solution.
How is vox populi (voice of the people) to be heard?
The voice of the people has to be a voice of all crying for justice not privilege.

Great interview; Congressman Paul is a true peacemaker.
He will only grow in influence over the next few years.

Cornel calls Obama a Rockefeller Republican in black face
Shortly after Obama won re-election, Cornel and Tavis were on "Democracy Now, The War and Peace Report" (I call it "Hypocrisy Now, The War IS Peace Report"). But anyway, during the interview Cornel said Obama was a "Rockefeller Republican in black face" and his policies are "crypto fascist". He based his statement on the fact that Obama has given Wall Street everything they want, including immunity from criminal prosecution. Ironically, Tavis and Cornel sell themselves as champions of the poor, but they support clean energy policies that Obama has admitted will cause energy costs to "skyrocket". And high energy costs will hit the poor the hardest. Oops!

Ron Paul makes more sense than any other politician in my lifetime, but while participating in a CSPAN forum in 2004, I heard him tell a group of students he supported a carbon tax. I've never heard him support a carbon tax before or since, so hopefully he's realized a CO2 tax is one of the greatest threats to our economic and political freedoms.
The World Bank, Goldman Sachs, General Electric, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, etc., all support a carbon tax, which will be used to destroy America's global competitiveness and divert fossil fuels to Communist China's booming manufacturing economy. A carbon tax will be used to pick winners and losers in the global economy and China's command and control economic model has been picked to win. China has also been picked to be the new home of the Globalized Military Industrial Complex. For links to this info check out my post exposing the fascist roots of "Occupy Wall Street":

I don't agree with West and Smiley on everything but at least they gave Dr. Paul a fair interview.
