CBS News Article. They say RP has said 9/11 was inside job

We must email this person immediately. This misinformation must stop now.

These "radical ideas" include Paul's conspiracy theory that the Sept. 11 attacks were planned by the U.S. government.

seems they really want

seems they really want everyone to investigate 911, since they keep talking about it.

The official story is a conspiracy theory, since they have presented no proof at all for it.

They are out of ammo, since they keep repeating themselves.

Here is the original article

Here is the original article in the college paper she writes for : http://media.www.lsureveille.com/media/storage/paper868/news...

She could be completely ignorant to

Maybe a truther was telling her of this position and saying it was RP's. Yes, she could still look it up or pay attention to debates/interviews when this has come up previously, but if she's a student reporter I'd chalk it up to ignorance.

got pillory?

In the middle ages they put people who committed such offenses into a pillory. It was a very effective deterrent, as being publicly exposed and put in a position of contempt prevented many shady merchants from being dishonest.

We should create a centralized repository (a sort of virtual pillory) of all these "journalists" together with snippets of their "reporting". Perhaps some of them would be ashamed to see in what company they found themselves.

I like this idea! That would

I like this idea! That would be an easy web page to make. Maybe they would have to issue a retraction before they were let out.

I sent an email to their

I sent an email to their cbs.com feedback site and demanded a retraction.
unreal.

Every one needs to write in

Every one needs to write in and demand they retract the false info, about RP running as a Libertarian(he's running for the republican nomination, not the libertarian nomination), and he never said he believes 9/11 was an inside job.

You write, error, on your web page: ''These "radical ideas" include Paul's conspiracy theory that the Sept. 11 attacks were planned by the U.S. government.'' (Who's Ron Paul-Unlikely Candidate Gains College Support).

Please be advised this is entirely false.

This is not Dr. Paul's position.

This is libelous, and will be reported to the official campaign.

You should remove this immediately and print a retraction.

CBS Propaganda

Maybe we should start telling everyone that CBS is saying that it was an inside job. The old media are known as lying sacks of you know what.

I complained them for

I complained them for projecting their subconscious conspiracies upon a candidate who stands for their liberty.

I sent Emily Holden a firm

I sent Emily Holden a firm but reasonable e-mail with quotes from the recent debate where Ron denies believing in any 9/11 conspiracy.

We should contact CBS and get this off their site now. Yeah, we've got lots of battles to fight, but this is worth 5 minutes. Who's got a CBS phone number?

the original article got fixed ...

"This story has been edited to correct a mistake. This is the updated version."

false..

click on main link in original post above...be sure to refresh...it has not been fixed.

well

it seems like the transition from her actual article to the cbs one thats posted changed dramatically. I wonder if cbs did this?

hmmm

this is odd, I found the article somewhere else on her papers online site and it has all correct information\

http://media.www.lsureveille.com/media/storage/paper868/news...

I didn't see any mention of 911

Plus, this article was mostly quotes from college kids- one of whom called Ron Paul a well-educated idiot...can we excuse youthful arrogance?

can you read?

"These "radical ideas" include Paul's conspiracy theory that the Sept. 11 attacks were planned by the U.S. government."

Ron Paul saying 9/11 was planned by the government is like calling you a Nobel Peace Prize winning reporter/journalist. Get it right or face the wrath sleezebag.

be respectful regardless. if

be respectful regardless.

if you give them reason to hate you, they will. instead, encourage them todo the right thing.

"Please retract and correct your recent "Who is Ron Paul" article. It contains false information.

I can only assume this is a deliberate attack, or you were misinformed and didn't take the time
to verify the information. The fact CBS news has now highlighted the story with the errors, is
even more unsettling.

If it was a simple mistake, please correct it. A move like that would show volume in regards
to your character, as a journalist and as a person. Thank you for your time.

no need to be nice

just use proper English so you're taken seriously. Although I don't think my comment got through

Whether an intentional smear or out of incompetence your article makes serious errors in regards to presidential candidate Ron Paul. Ron Paul is running as a Libertarian? Paul supports a conspiracy theory that the Sept. 11 attacks were planned by the U.S. government? These are serious mistakes for CBS to reprint. Am I suppose to take you serious as a news organization? Do the CBS editors have that little knowledge about the BIGGEST political event in the U.S. at this time? Any person who has watched a REPUBLICAN debate (not just Ron Paul supporters) would know that your article suggests such a high level of incompetence that would question your ability to function as a top news organization.

Do you realize that the article CBS has sanctioned essentially makes the accusation that a 10 term congressman and presidental candidate blames the U.S. government for killing 3000+ U.S. citizens? That's pretty serious. Such a large accusation should be backed by sources, yes? I hope you take action to resolve this in a prompt manner, before you alienate any slightly educated person.

Libertarian??

"Paul, a 72-year-old Republican congressman from Texas, is running as a Libertarian in the presidential election."

Misinformation galore! What incompetent reporting!

Jesus is my Lord and my God, and Ron Paul, champion of all things freedom, including religion and the free exercise thereof, is my choice for president.

When will all of you wake up and quit freaking out about what they say and do? They don't care and the are probably lovin' it that you get all upset about it.

Think about this....Dr. Paul isn't freaking out, is he? No, he is leading by example. Dr. Paul preaches 2nd amendment rights for a reason.....now go shopping with that Bush rebate and buy the right thing.
