Sen. Rand Paul says he'll wait until 2014 to decide whether to run for president, but he believes voters are ready for a Libertarian-minded Republican candidate.

Hasn't Rand looke at the details of the immigration reform bill?

How can Rand be for the immigration bill? According to Dr. Paul, the devil is in the details. The bill includes drone flying over Americans for 100 miles from the border. The TSA would be able to watch when you left your home, where you went, how long you stayed because the cameras in the drones can read license plates. What if you were at a park where a drug pusher was? They think you're buying or selling drugs? Besides, what about the 4th amendment? I want privacy. I don't want to be watched from the sky 24/7.

Our "purists"

learned few things from Jews (von Mises, Rothbard, Ayn Rand, etc.) Now they can boldly vote for David Duke should he run in 2016. If not, they will write-in Justin Amash.

Flag of the Libertarian movement will naturally go to Tea Party & Libertarian Party.

I am

Confused. Why did they ignore Ron and give Rand all the media coverage.

Rand Paul is in their pocket

Sunday I was watching I think Meet the Press. Carl Rove was on there and stated we need someone like Rand Paul in 2016. That takes care of my support for Rand Paul. Anyone associated with Carl Rove is not a friend of freedom.

Then THANK GOD. Even if Rand

Then THANK GOD. Even if Rand is 50% better than Obamabush it'd be 50% closer to what we want. Or, you can have Rubio or Hillary. Tough choice for you? Or move out of the country.

You think Rand or Rubio would enable the GOP Liberty Movement to gain a better foothold?

Perhaps you might start to understand you should be CHEERING at the thought of Rand as President... the doors it could open that will be SHUT with Rubio or Hillary.

The sad thing people on here hating Rand don't understand is that they are basically chopping off their own heads. It could be YOU that is the reason Rand loses and WE FAIL. Get behind our ONLY HOPE (in the next several years).

If this is true (about Rove) this is the best news I have heard all day. And I think Rove may be related to Satan. Unfortunately, when your country is run by Satan, you may have to deal with the devil or overthrow it directly. Are you going to wage direct war against the government? Doubtful - then get on board with Rand.

Why do I waste my time on this crap?

I am going back to designing my permaculture garden.

Watch Rand when Wallace belittles Rons campaign

I think he looks a little ticked at Chris Wallace

Audit The Fed Was Introduced In The Senate By Rand

Give credit where it is due. I half-way agree with concentrating on the state and local level politics, but during the last primary and the fate of liberty candidates we saw that such path will be difficult if not impossible. Especially since the opponents are so well funded and a majority of Americans have accepted and prefer socialism. I am not an advocate of it, but it seems that secession or getting like-minded individuals to dominate a population somewhere is the only option - far-fetched I know.

What the heck is a "Libertarian Republican?"

OH...My bad that's like this guy I know who sold his Father down the river during the republican primaries. Who was that again? How bout we find a "real" Libertarian candidate instead of a sellout hybrid.

How many Libertarians have

How many Libertarians have received over 3% of the national vote?

sold out his Dad and the Liberty movement. He serves his own belly.

AD in NV

I find it interesting that...

...the controlled media will give him some air time, like this interview, as they did afford Ron Paul.

But once the campaign gears up, it's a black out and when they do mention him, it's a smear campaign.

I will not get swept up into another national campaign. They are rigged.

Rand DID win on a state level, so I'm going to focus on county and state elections. That's the wisest course to follow, I believe.

Putting so much time and energy falls right into the PTB's hands. Is it better than spending time following your favorite sports team? Well, yes, but I have to wonder how much productivity we lose in our lives as we chase a goals that cannot be.

Boy, I sound pessimistic as I re-read what I wrote, but isn't it about winning? And until we arrest the criminals running our country, and punish them, what is the point? They laugh at our naivety.

"It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be a rEVOLution before tomorrow morning." - Henry Ford

I agree it is rigged. I

I agree it is rigged. I wonder why there isn't more discussion by Liberty leadership on how we can focus on getting these elections "un-rigged"? I don't even know what would need to be done, but I know it is taboo to talk about it if you are the actual candidate. So it is up to us. And we have no clue where to get started. How can we actually do that? There needs to be a massive movement and that's one big thing we should be working on because the fact is it was stolen. We were cheated.

He may decide to run in 2016,

but I'm still waiting to see what Ron's plans are.

Ron Paul 2016

The problem with Rand

The problem with Rand is that he is only a psuedo-libertarian, and he will not have the cross-over energy and potential that Ron Paul had. Recall that polls showed Ron Paul tied with Obama in a two man race.

Rand is is great on Civil Liberties, but he is GOP-Lite about the Neocon Foreign Policy, and he won't rock too many boats. I doubt he would stand up to the CIA, or dramamtically change anything. He is also more just "traditional-GOP" about cutting programs for the poor, while the rich Corporations and the Elites get fat and happy, and represent the true theives, cheaters, and pirates of the U.S. Treasury.

Unlike Ron, he also never talks about Monetary Reform or getting rid of the FED...only audits.

While he has some positive qualities, I don't think he is sufficiently "non-Republican" enough to motivate support from the progressives, disaffected Democrats, Independents, and non-voters the way that Ron Paul can.

But because of this, he would also run stronger in the GOP Primary than Ron could.

The best thing would be to run Rand Paul in the GOP Primary, and then have him step-aisde and have Ron Paul run in the General Election (this is of course not possible).

What "cross-over" energy are

What "cross-over" energy are you referring to?

Republicans typically get around 50% of the national vote. Libertarians typically get less than 1%. Who do you think the priority is when it comes to needing to 'cross-over'? Does he need to appeal more to the 1% to "cross-over" or to the 50%? Answer is simple.

Sure, #s get adjusted when you take into consideration the Ron Paul movement.. but, then again.. his last name is Paul and his Dad will endorse him.

General Election

There were about 20%-25% of Obama voters, who would have loved to vote for a real peace candidate.

And the whole "undecided" vote in this Country is fiscally conservative and socially liberal.

These demographics would have all swung over to Ron Paul, had he been in the General Election. This is what I'm talking about.

But Rand Paul is too much of a traditional a Republican, to get these people. And if he were to pick a Mitch McConnell or Mitt Romney (who he endorsed) type of figure as his V.P. selection -- then who the heck would he ever inspire??

In my opinion we actually WON

In my opinion we actually WON the Republican nomination.. but unfortunately we don't live in a fair society with fair voting procedures, etc. Therefore, Rand must play ball and "be" a traditional Republican. Hopefully, with him in power, we could eventually have better opportunities at more fair elections, etc. But, trust me - Rubio or Hillary... more of the same.. rule by Satan.

Again look at Austrilia

Same thing happened there the people got fed up with the two party system. then they voted in the green party and she was just the same and enforced the carbon tax . I wish I could be more positive, judge only by its fruit and some fruit is mixed.I can't shake off the bad fruit of submitting to Romney though. At the Republican convention the fact that fox snuck Gary Johnson is suspicious.Yet I voted for him .big mistake not realizing the consequence of my actions. I doubt I will vote again.

Ron Paul runs. He's the only libertarian in the field who I would support.

Wouldn't withhold my vote, but would withhold praise

Wouldn't withhold my vote, but would withhold praise for Rand: why DIDN'T he stick up for his father and correct his host with a simple, "My father WAS in it to win it, and so were all of his supporters."

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Ron TOLD him to endorse

Ron TOLD him to endorse Romney. You don't think a Father and Son would have discussed this? LOL. Ron knew they would never LET HIM WIN. They wouldn't even acknowledge him at the convention. He realized this, and told Rand to endorse Romney.

Because he wasn't. He was

Because he wasn't. He was just running an educational campaign. Rand just has a different agenda. He wants to actually be President, which means that he has to do things a little bit differently than Ron.

It WAS educational in that the GOP learnt who to purge

Uh huh. Dr. Paul's campaign WASN'T intended to be educational, but the GOP insiders attended class and watch who raised their hands in order to purge them afterward.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

While it was and continues to be extremely educational, I don't buy your crap that he was not in it to win it. The series of events, votes counted as zero, locked out of convention, physical harm, media blackout, etc., etc., is what caused the result. Ron did not bail out as others would have. He used whatever he could to continue the message even after they screwed him and us.

Don't even try to blow smoke up my rear end that he and we did not want to win!

It is your false propoganda that others will cling to and continue to have no hope. GRRRRRRRR.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

The $400 I gave to Dr. Paul were for a Presidential campaign

The $400 I gave to Dr. Paul were for a Presidential campaign, not an educational campaign.

I still have not reconciled myself to the idea that Dr. Paul had made a deal with Bishop Willard to run block for Romney's nomination, not least considering how the Bishop and his insider buddies threw not a bone to the Doctor or his supporters as payment.

"Cowards & idiots can come along for the ride but they gotta sit in the back seat!"

Yep your right

He has to stick his nose so far up the GOP'S ass if he wants to win. Ron would not play that game so he had no shot to win. The GOP WILL USE RAND THEN THEY WILL THROW HIM AWAY OR RAND WILL SELL US OUT TO BECOME PRESIDENT! I rather see the Ron Paul way and in November 2016 vote Libertarian and f**k the GOP again!

Doesn't pass Purity Test

You're seriously going to withhold support for Rand Paul, the only Senator to admit out loud that he's libertarian, because he doesn't pass your purity test?

You'd rather Democrats keep the White House? How's that working for you so far? How's it for your economic liberty? Your liberty to own and carry guns? Your limited government? Your belief in limited overseas intervention?

Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.

I dont want a Democrat in the white house. I DIDN't say I was voting Dem in 2016. I said i would vote Libertarian! I sure dont want the anti liberty GOP in th!e white house in 2016
