Oops! AP botches Rand Paul immigration quote

This morning, the “real reporters” at the Associated Press ran a report quoting Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) saying that some voters want an immigration plan that would “round up people … and send them back to Mexico.”
Many MSM outlets ran with the story:

Predictably, some Twitter users went ballistic. How dare anyone suggest that some voters want our country’s immigration laws to be enforced!
Just one problem. The quote reported by AP was incorrect:
...
It has now been several hours since the AP retracted its story, but many MSM outlets that published the article have neither removed nor retracted nor corrected it.

For Rand Supporters,
take some timeand go to thes news sites that printed the retracted AP story and comment on their lack of checking for fact. It would seem to me that a fair or unbiased person/org. would check the accuracy of such an incendiary quote.
I contacted AP, phone and e-mail, and left comments on several news sites.
Nothing new here
Everyone one of the msm outlets put out these garbage stories knowing they are just that garbage. They also know by the the time they have to make their retraction the damage is already done. They are simply starting in on the dis-info campaign of Rand Paul well before the election cycle. It's all a big fucking joke to them there is no creditable journalism in the msm especially the AP.
The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson
fake quote has gone international
