Obama says gasoline will go to $12.00 dollars per gallon if Iran closes Straits of Hormuz (Video)

The new technology known as horizontal drilling has exponentially increased America's recoverable energy reserves. This technology allows a single well to pull in oil/gas from a number of different sources. As a result, the U.S. has some of the largest oil and natural gas reserves in the world, but Obama is hellbent on limiting our ability to use them. Given the instability in Iran and the Middle East, domestic oil and gas production is vital to U.S. national security.

Obama made the following comments about oil and national security during a speech in Ohio. "An even more immediate and direct security threat comes from our dependence on foreign oil. The price of a barrel of oil is now one of the most dangerous weapons in the world. Tyrants from Caracas to Tehran use it to prop up their regimes, intimidate the international community, and hold us hostage to a market that is subject to their whims. If Iran decided to shut down the petroleum rich Strait of Hormuz tomorrow, they believe oil would skyrocket to $300-a-barrel in minutes, a price that one speculator predicted would result in $12 dollar a gallon gasoline." Given Obama's knowledge of oil as a weapon, his use of the EPA to limit domestic production should be considered treason. The previous comments come at 2min/42sec into his speech. Here's the link:

Obama probably raised the issue of Iran closing the Straits of Hormuz as a means to scare people into clean energy policies, which he's admitted will cause energy costs to "skyrocket". Whatever Obama's reason for mentioning Iran as a threat to U.S. oil supplies, the fact is, the energy polices of Iran and Obama pose an imminent threat to U.S. national security. But Obama did not originate the fraudulent global warming/clean energy agenda. Before Obama became President, the CEO of General Electric, Jeffrey Immelt, addressed the National Governors Association. Immelt told the governors to subsidize GE's clean/green energy in order to save the world from global warming caused by CO2 emissions. Exxon's CEO is also calling for a CO2 tax to subsidize algae fuels research, not to mention Wall Street's push for Cap and Trade. Iran couldn't be a threat to the U.S. without support from China and Russia, which couldn't be a threat to the West without US support. This incestuous relationship allows global elites to play both sides of global conflicts. Syria is a prime example. This keeps people divided and guarantees profits for the globalized war machine. In this next video, a Chinese political scientist talks about Russia and China creating a new world order, which is being financed by Wall Street and US multinationals. Pat Mulloy is a member of the US/China Economic and Security Review Commission. In the next clip, he says large trade deficits with China will result in large chunks of the U.S. economy being owned by the Communist government of China.

For all intents and purposes, US financial elites and industrialists have seceded from the Union and partnered up with China's totalitarian regime. They're engaged in economic terrorism against the U.S. as a means to crush representative government. Consider what would happen if Iran, a client state of China, blocked the Straits of Hormuz. WWIII would be great for the mass murdering war profiteers.

Wall Street and US multinationals prefer China's totalitarian political model and command/control economic model. They're setting China up to be the next host for a Globalized Military Industrial Complex. Charge! Winston Churchill Rode the Last Cavalry Charge, 1888

Winston Churchill and the Last Cavalry Charge

The Sudan: “Cape-to-Cairo” to create a chain of British colonies to prevent foreign powers, most notably the French, from entering into the Sudan. The order was given for a British & Egyptian army ... go to the Sudan and defeat the Sudanese Mahdist forces and retake the city of Khartoum.

Winston Churchill joined in the last great cavalry charge in British history.

The Charge: September 2, 1898, the 21st Lancers were on a reconnaissance patrol between the main battle and the city of Khartoum, when they spotted 150 spear carrying Mahdists. As the cavalrymen charged toward the enemy, they became aware they had ridden into a trap, as they found over 2,000 Mahdists hidden in a shallow ravine. It began what Churchill had described as the two most dangerous minutes of his life.

What followed was fierce hand-to-hand combat. Churchill later said he owed his luck to not being injured or killed because he was on the side of the line with the fewest enemy and was carrying an automatic pistol and not a sword. After two minutes of brutal fighting, the Mahdists were routed, but the British, with 340 officers and men in the charge, lost 28 men killed, 50 wounded, as well as 119 horses killed... The fighting was so brutal that Churchill wrote afterwards, “The shoddiness of war. You can not gild it. The raw comes through.”

Speaking of cavalry....

American history teaches the concept of manifest destiny. This is often used to characterize America's founding as racist, based on the treatment of Native Americans. But how many fur traders, miners and homesteaders were thinking about manifest destiny as they moved West? Few if any, they didn't even know what the phrase meant. Manifest destiny is the language of ruling class elites, i.e., merchant bankers and industrialists who moved common folk West like pawns on a chess board. The ruling class wanted conflict with the Indians so they could call in the cavalry and manifest their destiny. Today, Wall Street and US industrialists have set their sights on a new frontier, the emerging markets. They've partnered up with Communist China and are waging financial warfare on our Constitutional Republic. They want divided Americans to blame each other and fight over the economic crumbs left behind by free trade and the financial crisis. We're all Indians now.

Good intentions....that reminds me of

our fearless bipartisan leaders. When watching them perform on CSPAN, they're always very careful not to question the "good intentions" of the colleagues they disagree with. Why? I've come to the conclusion that it's a bipartisan scheme to protect each other from criminal prosecution, because proving guilt requires proving intent to commit a crime. This sophisticated scheme has eliminated checks and balances and subverted the rule of law. We've become a nation of wannbe kings and queens, not a nation of laws.

Thomas Paine said, "if there were to be a king, it would have to be the rule of law, and if a day of celebration were to be set aside, then homage should be paid to the law, a crown set upon it to remind those gathered that the law is king."

I detect yet another black market hot item coming

I can't think of a better way to encourage black market drilling of US oil reserves.

Not everyone can believe these lies. One tiny nation in the entire world does not control the gas supply.

"Moderation in temper is always a virtue; but moderation in principle is always a vice." -- Thomas Paine

One tiny nation (Iran) does not control gas supplies

Iran is a pawn and scapegoat. Wall Street banks, in conjunction with OPEC, control supply and price. After the 2008 financial collapse, the price of oil dropped from a high of $147 per barrel to under $40. This was a seventy percent drop in the price of oil, but global oil consumption only dropped by about 10%. This disconnect between price and demand is the result of speculation by Wall Street banks, whose subsidiaries also have storage facilities for hoarding large quantities of oil. In the video below, oil industry analysts explain the speculative and supply role played by big banks.

Energy policy also has a big effect on price and Obama admits this saying his policies would cause energy costs to "skyrocket".

Brent Crude vs West Texas Crude.

Crude is so. Life is a many splendoured thing. There are horse races.

Who won the [Oct 7, 2006] 4:20 at York horse races?

Saturday October 7 2006. York 16:20:

  1. Ofaraby (Nation of origin not reported) 3/1
  2. Northern Splendour (USA) 8/1
  3. Emirates Skyline (USA) 8-11

Alas, there are other races: STEAMBOAT RACING

I think that much the most enjoyable of all races is a steamboat race; but, next to that, I prefer the gay and joyous mule-rush. Two red--hot steamboats raging along, neck-and-neck, straining every nerve--that is to say, every rivet in the boilers--quaking and shaking and groaning from stem to stern, spouting white steam from the pipes, pouring black smoke from the chimneys, raining down sparks, parting the river into long breaks of hissing foam--this is sport that makes a body's very liver curl with enjoyment. A horse-race is pretty tame and colorless in comparison. Still, a horse-race might be well enough, in its way, perhaps, if it were not for the tiresome false starts. But then, nobody is ever killed. At least, nobody was ever killed when I was at a horse-race. They have been crippled, it is true; but this is little to the purpose.

The Days of Dollar Hegemony Draws Nigh

When cheap Middle Eastern oil no longer backs the U.S. dollar, the dollar loses its status as the world's reserve currency and, ultimately, the United States loses its position as the pre-emient global power.

The decline of America

Many so called American citizens would like to see the U.S. lose its postiton as the pre-eminent global power. Some are dupes and some prefer totalitarianism over representative gov't. The Federal Reserve and multinationals it finances, prefer totalitarianism and are bankrupting the Republic as a means to their preferred end.

A Congressional Budget Office report says it will cost taxpayers 8.6 Trillion to prop up failing banks. That makes Too Big To Fail banks the largest welfare recipients in the country. And the recession they caused is used as pretext to massively increase the number of welfare bottom feeders. The end result will be a bankrupt Republic and Constitutional principles will be replaced with socialistic fascism. And this is what Wall Street calls the free market. Here's the link to CBO's 8.6 Trillion bailout projection.

Yes indeed. Evil deeds.

Who bears the cost? Taxpayers one might presume. But who got use of the $8 trillion & why them? And why should taxpayers bare the cost of those that failed so grandiosely?

Circular deeds. Who got the deeds to our ranches? Who do we trust?

Why is there such a thing as "Deed of Trust?" Who got the deed?

Yes, what you cite is written.

Your average obama/romney voter

will REALLY hate Iran now. Way to beat those war drums and shift the blame.

Obama is killig two birds with one stone

Not only is he drumming up hatred for Iran, he's drumming up hatred for fossil fuels, oil in particular. It's about extorting huge subsidies from American taxpayers/cosumers to fund expensive alternative energy policies that we don't need. Exxon Mobil, Chevron, BP (They've changed their name to Beyond Petroleum), General Electric, etc., all support a carbon tax. It seems counter intuitive that Big Oil would want a carbon tax but in the video below, the CEO of Exxon says a CO2 tax will be used to fund Exxon's green energy programs. This demonstrates the fact that multinationals have the power to tax while they pay little or no taxes. Gov't revenues from a carbon tax will flow into the R&D divisions of monopolistic energy companies who will then monopolize so called clean energy.

Patently absurd is right

How many U.S. citizens can send an oil tanker to Kuwait and ship oil back to America?

Many countries, including China, have price controls on gasoline. This gives them an unfair advantage in the global economy, but US leaders don't care if others countries play by a different set of rules. Why? Globalization is a plan to pick winners and losers in the global economy, and nations like the U.S., founded on the concept of individual liberties, have been picked to lose. Price of crude oil is related to somebody's kin.

Clans create cartels. Some monopolies. Those clans dictate a lot of price behavior. Their machinations & mischief have far more to do with the price of oil & tea in China than the Chinese do. Yes, the Chinese by & by play too. More so recently... this last century they are seeking influence beyond their Great Wall.

The Bloomberg link cited shows the price of gas @ the pump in 60 Nations. Kuwait was #58 @ 81¢. Please note, the list shows the consumptive nations with high prices. The productive nations show low prices. This is expected.

Shocking price increases come transporting across international boarders. Why? A particular closure of a sea lane? An opening of another? Sets one to wonder.

One might look down the list of 60 nations shopping for a good price. Or one might have other plans.

Calling his bluff - It's propaganda

Think about it ....If Gas went to $12 a gallon, that would be the end of the Military war for oil fiasco.

This is BS at its finest.

____

"Take hold of the future or the future will take hold of you." -- Patrick Dixon

$12 dollar gas would end war? I don't think so.

The Military Industrial Financial Complex controls all the world's oil, and they decide who pays full price. The only people who would pay $12 dollars per gallon are taxpayers of governments targeted for bankruptcy. And that includes most Western representative governments. Oil is one of the weapons being used to crush sovereign nation states and build a global dictatorship. China's Communist dictatorship has already locked in a $50 dollar per barrel price, so their military will be running the show while a bankrupt America is forced to disarm. It's kind of like gun control on a global scale, i.e., if you take away guns from law abiding citizens only the outlaws will have guns. Check out this post on gun control.

Underestimating the military

Properly estimating the treasonous plans of US military leaders requires a global context, i.e., globalization.

Since globalization, America's military purpose is not to protect U.S. political and economic freedoms. It's priority is securing resources for emerging BRIC markets (Brazil Russia India China), which have been picked to dominate the global economy. Afghanistan's resources are a prime example. Peter O'Malley is a spokesman for one of the UK's largest banks (HSBC). He was on CNBC saying Afghanistan has a Trillion dollars of mineral reserves and Chinese State owned companies are already mining there. He also said Afghanistan is the "Saudi Arabia of lithium". Lithium is used in batteries for electronics, electric cars and huge batteries to store the intermittant "clean" energy produced by wind and solar farms. So Afghanistan is the first war for clean energy and our troops are being used to subsidize Communist China's economy. It's the "free" market. Coincidentally, most wind turbines, solar panels, electronics and batteries are manufactured in China. Here's the link to CNBC and Afghan mining.

http://video.cnbc.com/gallery/?video=3000047354

I tested the link, it brings up the title "Mining for potential in Afghanistan" but won't run the video. If you use CNBC's search engine and type in "Peter O'Malley", you'll get some text on the topic.
