Confessions of a haterSubmitted by Cyril on Mon, 02/18/2013 - 02:56
... yes, I am a hater.
I am a hater of some ideas. Here is the beginning of a list.
I hate the idea that a (so-called) human "race" is superior to all others (so-called "races").
I hate the idea that a religion or faith or absence thereof is supposedly superior to all others - and stated as such by the believer.
I hate the idea that faith is anything but profoundly intimate and we can escape our responsibility in the full extent of the implications for our relationships with others.
Thus, I also hate the idea that a race or religion or absence thereof has the monopoly of martyrdom over all others.
I hate the idea that some groups would supposedly owe this or that to others.
I hate the idea that some groups would supposedly be more knowledgeable to teach this or that to others.
I hate the idea that pure reason only is suitable to rule our lives.
I hate the idea that our biased emotions only are suitable to give a meaning to our lives.
I hate the idea that there could be any legitimacy in gender battles or gender wars.
I hate the idea that a majority or groups can replace our individual rights with arbitrary entitlements for the groups they deem only suitable.
I hate the idea that some want us to believe - or force onto us - that we can delegate our individual responsibilities to the society or the state - including, but not limited to, taking care of ourselves and coping with OUR OWN past mistakes and fixing those BY AND FOR ourselves.
I hate the idea that anybody would feel owing me anything that I made clear I shared for free.
I hate the idea that society or the state supposedly owe anything to the individual I am.
I hate the idea that the individual I am supposedly owes anything to the society or the state.
I hate the idea that anybody would feel I owe them anything that I, myself, don't feel compelled to owe, as I can read the just laws - and I have NO problem to abide to laws, if they are JUST.
I hate the idea that someone else or any other group has claims to force a better morality than the one I made for myself in my heart and my brain over years and decades.
I hate the idea that someone else or any other group can claim that I am helpless before the education I received from my parents, good or bad.
I hate the idea that anybody who isn't from my family or relatives would feel in their rights to tell me about my flaws I should have fixed.
I hate the idea that anybody would feel in their rights to try force their views on the morality or life that I, and my family, have chosen to live by.
I REALLY HATE the idea that our natural human compassion for others cannot exist or isn't enough if it's not eventually delegated to, or enforced by, the state.
I hate the idea that we still waste so much time and energy in seeing people in friend or foe groups instead of debating the ideas we defend and the ideas we reject, and why.
I hate the idea that such ideas would be forcibly about intangible abstractions as an excuse for creating more groups, labels, and jars nonsense, instead of defending and protecting our individual freedoms.
I hate the idea that we keep losing focus or sight of what mutual respect, liberty, and peace really mean.
I hate the trendy idea for some that the Golden Rule itself doesn't mean that much - or "was borrowed from older texts, anyway" - and as such is only "relative" and always corruptible through language - "anyway".
Well, yes, it is: only if we do have the intent to corrupt it, indeed.
Now, who in their sane mind would find in any way defensible and legitimate the idea of "throwing the baby along with the water of the bath ... just because we can, after all"?
I hate this sort of GROSSLY DECEPTIVE SEMANTIC TRICK to debase the very rare and precious ideas that can be useful as moral absolutes for the individuals WHO CHOOSE SO.
To me this denotes something that I HATE EVEN MORE: THE HIDDEN AGENDA of denying TO ALL these so rare and useful absolutes for the individuals WHO HAVE CHOSEN THEM, ON THE FALSE PRETENSE THAT THOSE ARE RELATIVE FOR EVERYBODY - "ANYWAY".
Yes, I DO NOT BUY AND I HATE this ... pseudo-intellectual C R A P.
The deceivers can try again. They can try HARDER, against me, "anyway".
Their plans may work with the gross ignorant, or the reckless, or the irresponsible - but THAT WILL NEVER WORK AGAINST ME.
I am no genius but it never takes me very long to figure out BY WHOM and WHAT FOR our human intelligence is being INSULTED - that is, BY THE GROSSEST DEMAGOGUERY coming from THE HYPOCRITES WHO WANT TO RULE OVER EVERYBODY.
Indeed, that is only the beginning of the list of ideas I do hate.
For, this is what I have SCRUTINY FOR:
but certainly NOT their messengers only, as that would be TOO EASY, mind you.
That would be childish. That would be irresponsible.
The RIGHT or WRONG ideas - with lines drawn in the sands of History - THAT IS WHAT I STRIVE TO WATCH AS CLOSELY AS I CAN -
either to dearly DEFEND or to firmly REJECT.
Bear with me, and
