At least according to the SC state constitution which says the votes must be not be counted in secret but since the system provided no real time method of observing the vote count it is in violation.
The SC primary is invalid and the delegates should be barred from the convention unless a paper ballot vote is done.
ARTICLE II.
RIGHT OF SUFFRAGE
SECTION 1. Elections to be by secret ballot; protection of right of suffrage.
All elections by the people shall be by secret ballot, but the ballots shall not be counted in secret. The right of suffrage, as regulated in this Constitution, shall be protected by laws regulating elections and prohibiting, under adequate penalties, all undue influence from power, bribery, tumult, or improper conduct.

80% of the ESS electronic voting machines were not able to "open up" in Saturday's primary forcing almost all Horry County precincts to use paper ballots. When precincts opened Saturday morning a majority of the voting machines would not work at all. The Seawinds precinct had reported that the electronic voting machines were down "county wide." Republic Media reporters from or SC affiliate organization, Make a Difference Horry County, were on the scene to document how voters were turned away and the county was completely caught off guard. Their visit to the county voting offices show that officials were unprepared for this eventuality and did not have enough paper ballot backups and ended up counting hand votes on yellow legal pads! Voters were turned away from various precincts. More information is pending....

She's right... you should complain to Fox News Channel, not them
Many local affiliate stations aren't even owned by FOX... some are, but I doubt the one in Charlotte is. Local affiliate stations are like franchises, and none of them, even the ones owned by FOX, have any editorial control over the national cable network Fox News Channel at all.
If you want to complain, it'd be far more productive to complain to FOX news channel...

You didn't try to shame the local news employees or imply that they lack professionalism but instead alert to them what Fox News Channel did (they probably didn't know about it), acknowledge that they were not directly responsible for what Fox News Channel did, and then request that they express their disgust to people at Fox News Channel... This strategy would make them a lot less defensive...

Yeah... I actually think that contacting FOX news channel...
Does do some good... all the flack that they got when they excluded Ron Paul from the NH "forum" lead to Ron Paul getting about as much time as the other candidates in the next FOX news debate, not to mention another Jay Leno appearance... I think FOX is always going to be biased against Ron Paul, but it strengths the view amongst most Americans that FOX is a neocon news station that calls itself fair and balanced, and is essentially the Jerry Springer of cable news networks...

Did anyone else see this on CNN?
Early on in the Nevada primary when Mccain was ahead of Ron Paul, CNN had the totals of two candidates for each party at the bottom of the screen. At that time it was Romney and Mccain, every few minutes they would rotate that with Huckabee and Thompson and their percentages even though they were fouth and fifth completely ignoring Ron Paul at third. Later once Ron Paul moved to second, they had a blurb in the same place saying Huckabee was in second in Nevada.
I am out of the country so I don't know if I get exactly the same CNN programming as in the states but what is happening there is really frightening.

The MSM lack of acknowledgement
I'm not at all surprised that the MSM ignores or marginalises Paul. I think it is important to realise that a consolidation of the MSM has been happening over the last 50 years so that the end result is that most major news stations/magazines/other publications are owned by a grand total of 6 monstrous corporations. Look into stopbigmedia.com for a list. This is no accident or coincidence, and it could not happen without the current monetary system, which Paul opposes. Corporate ownership may be a secret but the role of the big banks, and their monopoly over the issuance of credit which gives them a tremedous advantage in the marketplace (and to buy controlling shares in these corporations) is no longer a secret. I suggest to anyone still in the dark over this process to search youtube for "Edward Griffin" or google that name and read a summary of "The Creature from Jekyll Isand" - a book RP has given a positive review for. Thomas Jefferson was right in his warning about bank issued credit and the monopoly of banks and corporation control that would result - a reality we are living in today. RP stands opposed to this, which is why the controlling interests (not neccessarily individual journalists) of msm are opposed to him overtly (fox) or covertly (others) .What he stands for threatens the msm owner's control over the minds of Americans.

Due to your uninformed and borderline slanderous (retracted article) treatment of Ron Paul I will never again purchasing your newspaper or magazines. Furthermore I will inform anyone in my circle of friends, family, and coworkers of your supposed elite newspaper’s ineptitudes. I’m sure they are already aware of the paper’s failure in the lead up to the Iraq war, and lack of ability to hire reporters who don’t make up entire articles; but I will add to their doubts. For example, today in the Nevada caucus Ron Paul finished 2nd yet he is still not on your general election results page. He has more delegates and a higher percentage of the popular vote than both Giuliani and Thompson. Even a person who’s not supporting Ron Paul can see this is either an unfair attempt to marginalize him, or just plain incompetence. Either is a valid reason for a rational person to cut ties with your paper.
