Rush Limbaugh

I'm wondering if anyone listens to Limbaugh? I'm assuming most people can't stand the guy (add me to that list by the way). I am interested though to see how an establishment guy like Rush is treating subjects that the Republican party is talking about these days (agreeing to big spending and talking open borders). It would be interesting to see if Rush is changing his message as the Republicans change theirs.

Spring of 2011

was the last time I gave a listen to him and he was just as status quo as ever. Spring 2011 was when I had my eyes opened to the liberty movement. Of course, at that point once you're eyes are opened, there is no way to stomach anything that Limbaugh, Hannity, Bill O., or anyone like them has to say. They are not worth the effort of changing radio stations to listen to. They are not even worth the gag reflexes of a bulimic person. There are better ways/reasons to throw up.

Neocon puke dog!

Rush Limbaugh?

Who's that? Bill O'Reilly who's that? Glenn Beck who's that? Get it?

I haven't listened to him in

I haven't listened to him in I don't know when. He's talking about "open borders"?? wow. I've been watching for any signs of people supporting the North American Union and now I'm curious what about open borders he supports. I've been suspecting all along that the coming dollar collapse is simply to join the economies of Canada, Mexico, and the U.S. under a single fiat currency. There have been incremental changes being pushed in government towards this end and the only ones who benefit are the big banks and big corporations. It was being talked about on MSM since 2006; Lou Dobbs spoke of it regularly on CNN. And the people weren't happy about that idea at all! The 3 countries would lose their sovereignty and the U.S. Constitution would be null and void. They don't care a rat's rip about Americans' freedoms at all. Now I hear the words "open borders" from Limbaugh? What does that mean? Traveling between the countries freely? No U.S. borders? Sounds like he's definitely part of that establishment pushing an N.A.U. modeled after the E.U. We see how that turned out (sarcasm).

I think you're misunderstanding me

The GOP is talking about open borders and has obviously been big spenders. I'm just wondering if Rush is now for those things too. I just think it would be interesting if there were some topic that he always vocalized strongly he was in favor of (e.g. being anti big spending) and I'm wondering if he's rationalizing (on air) why he's changed.

He mentioned the FED

Today he said (and repeated in his Rushy way) "the FED is PRINTING $## BILLION dollars a month, it's called QE3. The Governement doesn't produce any money, it is only able to print it or take it."

He also said, "Until we are talking about cuts of TRILLIONS of dollars, we are not on our way to fixing our debt." If I wasn't at work, I probably would have tried calling him to say "RON PAUL WAS TALKING ABOUT TRILLION DOLLAR CUTS, AND YOU IGNORED HIM AND NOW OBAMA IS PRESDIENT. The REPUBS PICKED THE WRONG MAN TO REPRESENT THEIR GENUINE PRINCIPLES."

When Bill Buckley Died,

All the neocons acted like a saint had passed away and Rush recounted how he had been invited to his house for dinner with his family and Henry Kissinger! He felt deeply honored to be in the prescence of such greatness like Dr. Kissinger.

Recall that Buckley's daddy was a Rothschild employee down in Mexico and they made their $$$ in the oil fields down there. Bill was CIA and Skull and Bones- you get the picture. You add the millions that Rush got from Clear Channel, and you know the ol' boy is firmly captive on the Elite Plantation.

I used to get the Limbaugh Letter as a teen and feel very betrayed that Rush wasn't all he was cracked up to be.

He isn't changing

his only mantra is Obama sucks and he is terrible.

He has no solutions don't waste your time.

(no I am not a neo-con, Rush is on the radio here during my lunch break and I hear it sometimes, most days I can't stand it so I switch to classic rock.)

is selling Rubio like crazy.....

One of these days I will call his dumb-ass show...

...and make him explain on national air-waves how he could have said that Obama would make a better president thant Ron Paul back in January of 2012.

I heard him say it with my own ears after one of the Republican debates.

Then I'm going to force him to back up his statement and say that yes, Obama is a better president than Ron Paul would have been.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."

You know, I had heard Rush

You know, I had heard Rush Limbaugh's voice when I was a kid but i must of forgotten what he sounded like; When I first heard AJ I really thought it was Rush Limbaugh for about the first minute or so lol.

Actually I do remember him having a show on Tv, he would now and then have some guy with a Clinton mask prance around. Ya that show was a big ball of sarcasm. Ha, now that I think about it AJ does the same kinda things from time to time lol(Joker Make-up). I think there are some parallels between those two. Not the message, but the delivery. I don't think anybody can escape a little bread and circus from time to time; especially the bread part lol.

I think I know what you're talking about

where he does say a lot of correct things. But going after GOP elites stops when real progress is on the horizon. He went after McCain at one time long ago, but changed his tune when McCain was going to be the nominee and covered the flip with lots of rhetoric about how dangerous the other side is.

And going after left Marxists is just part of the game. You're supposed to think "oh good, so many people are hearing this". It's a distraction. No one's taking care of anything, only hearing it and the left is hearing their guys and nothing changes.

If he were just a big pile of wrongness, no one would listen to him. The problem is, the people who need to listen to us are listening to him instead and they're being held back from seeing the bigger picture.

Limbaugh is an anchor of the left-right paradigm. He keeps people trapped in it by dangling things that do need to be said in front of their noses and leading them deeper in.

You know someone's there to keep you trapped when they spend so much time drumming up drama about what the other side is doing. That's not activism. That's drawing out a ping pong game.

is this

sarcasm? or are you being serious? you can like him if you like but look what he did during the election the guy is a slimeball in my opinion.

Of course he was joking

I'm surprised you even had a doubt about it.

He's not on my side.

At my work

I'm in and out of cars all day (I work at a massive service garage) and I usually just listen to whatever station the radio is already on. A LOT of people have it set to 760 am, featuring Frank Beckman in the morning, Rush in the afternoon and some other schmucks later in the day.

Rush doesn't talk much about the GOP, rather he bashes the liberals, the 'uninformed voters', the president, and any democrat that is currently in the spotlight. When it comes to liberty, he does stick to a pretty modern Republican P.O.V. (cut spending, but not defense. guns are great. government spends too much money. cuts, not taxes.)
On Fridays he takes calls, and usually will ignore good points made against the GOP and press on any points he agrees with that are anti-left. An example, somebody called in to say they have become so dissappointed with the GOP for being all bark and no bite. That they've left the party and are waiting for a new alternative to the democrats. Rush attempted to justify the bending, and then agreed that the left is terrible.

Though, today, I heard ol' Franky B. give a shout out to Rand Paul which surprised me. He more or less called him and Rubio the leaders of the reformed GOP (I'm pretty sure these two will be duking it out in 2016).

It's been a while since I've listened

but Republicans have been compromising all along and he's claimed to be a somewhat small government guy all along. There's nothing special about today compared to when he started.

I remember way back in the day him talking about how Conshyurvateevs have to play the politics game or lose altogether and that was his excuse when they'd behaved badly. Sometimes, he'd criticize a Republican - I heard him a long time ago criticizing McCain for compromising too much, but he was all on board by the time the election rolled around because ERMERGERD! we can't let those other guys win!

Another thing they do is talk a lo-ot about how bad the other guys are, how dangerous this or that is. They'll take something some liberal said and go on and on about how flabbergasted they are about it, then go on and on about how unfair it is that a conshyurvateev gets criticized in light of that. As if it's some great revelation of a conspiratory double standard that both sides spend so much time criticizing each others' wording.

The main diversion from how bad the right is is going on about how bad the left is. That and saber rattling, talking about how dangerous whoever we're poised for war with is. That's my experience from when I listened in 2007 and I guarantee it's exactly what's going on today. I'd been listening since 1993 and only in retrospect did I realize that he'd been saying the same stuff all that time.

Once you don't care about the score anymore, listening to him is like watching a soccer game where his side has the ball for three hours.
