We Should Be Able to 'Dear John' the State! (Look What Happens When One Did! He Died for His Beliefs)Submitted by Libera_me on Wed, 02/20/2013 - 07:26
How far does the right to conscience go in this country? Not far when you make a peaceful life choice that the State disapproves of. When it comes to going to war, you do have the option of a conscientious objector status, why not with some other issues as well? The right to conscientiously object was a right that was defended, as our territory was, by the Patriots in the war for Independence.
Granted this may seem logical, and I know here at DP I will find plenty of reasoning posters who will agree. The State does not, however, and so someone can be murdered *in their own home*,(this is verified by DownsizeDC) in a attempt to protect their property from that bullying cartel known as the State. (This happened to a person who opposed state-run schools, and so attempted to deny the State funding for them)
