“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”
― Ron Paul

Tipping point.

this video really puts in doubt whether it is even POSSIBLE to ever pay off our debt.

It's not possible

That's why Ron Paul's plan was to tell the FED that everything we supposedly owed them was null and void. It's paper they printed with no backing and if they didn't like it they could just go suck it! Then the debt we would be left with would be money borrowed from other nations and unfunded US liabilities. I think the total we supposedly owe the FED is something like 7 trillion.

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

Even 7 tril..

Still it seems impossible to pay back.

What are we doing...just running up as much debt as possible before just saying, "Sorry, we are bankrupt! What can you do?"

It is not possible. Because

It is not possible. Because our currency is a loan at interest, there will ALWAYS be more bonds than federal reserve notes. Andrew Jackson was the last president to pay off the entire national debt.

I enjoyed this...and shared on facebook.

Great way to show perspective.

Bump

I think most here have concluded that the debt will not be fixed in a responsible manner though. Most are waiting on the crash, and are eager to see what monetary system will be imposed on them. I personally think they can keep the system going through Obama's term without too much of a problem. But we'll have to pay the bills sooner than later.
