Movie superstar hits bull's-eye with guns blazing

WASHINGTON – Hollywood legend Bruce Willis’ latest entry in the “Die Hard” franchise took No. 1 in the box office over the weekend, bucking a trend of flops by his “Expendables” co-stars Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone.

Both Stallone and Schwarzenegger’s recent box office woes came after they labeled the Second Amendment “expendable.”

In contrast to Stallone and Schwarzenegger, Willis, starring in “It’s a Good Day to Die Hard,” had come out in defense of the right to bear arms as Democrats in Washington propose unprecedented restrictions on guns.

Exactly right! These hollywood types need to shut their mouths

and just play some stupid harmonica!

even Teddy Roosevelt disdained pandas

who looks better bald than with hair.

I'm old enough to remember Moonlighting...bad hair, vary bad hair.

The law cannot make a wicked person virtuous…God’s grace alone can accomplish such a thing.

Love Hudson Hawk

Always liked the guy

"I'm sick of answering this [expletive] question," he says. "I'm a Republican only as far as I want a smaller government, I want less government intrusion. I want them to stop [expletive] on my money and your money and tax dollars that we give 50 percent of... every year. I want them to be fiscally responsible and I want these [expletive] lobbyists out of Washington. Do that and I'll say I'm a Republican... I hate the government, OK? I'm a-political. Write that down. I'm not a Republican."

Good quote.

Good quote...and good to point out that in most cases, republicans aren't about smaller govt.

where did you find this gold nugget

Good quote.

it was from

an interview he was doing during the filming of 16 blocks in 2006! Him and Kurt Russell are basically my two favorite actors.

I agree

But I would add Gar Oldman to that. He is British, but he even attacked one if his own films, saying it wasnt as balanced as he was told it would be. Some Hollywood big shots called him a fascist cause he came out in support of gun rights and ctiticised the liberal party in the UK. There is more, but it will take to long to type it in.

Good to know

Love his acting. Fifth element, Willis and Oldman, they must have talked on set!

I always

respected Bruce Willis more then those other 2 steroid freaks....

Arnold has boobs now..HAHAHAHAHAHA

He lived in Idaho for a long time

Maybe something rubbed off on him.

Love or fear? Chose again with every breath.

Or from living in northern Michigan! ;)

Mr. President, it is natural to man to indulge in the illusions of hope. We are apt to shut our eyes against a painful truth, and listen to the song of that siren till she transforms us into beasts.

The point is

the sheeple follow whatever their heroes tell them, his fans will believe whatever he says, so maybe a few more folks will wake up. Its not him or his reasoning that counts, its the message.

bruce? make sense, would ya!?

Try and name a few movies with sociopathic mass murderers in them.

he's come out in defense of the 2nd amendment

in the past if I am not mistaken. Not just in recent times to soak up the attention. So I think it's safe to say he is pro 2nd amendment guy. But you never know with hollywood people....

Sounds to me

That your opinion does matter to the tune of millions if people say things against the 2nd amendment they flop why is that? Because we the people hold the power to purchase.

I don't know,

but he hits me as gun kinda guy. I don't think he's lying this time.

No one in hollywood has

any conviction and they are all willing to walk a line of utter hypocrisy for a dollar or a moment on TV to push their brand. That's the nature of acting. They act.

Not So Canucks

Charlie Sheen came out big time about 9/11 being done by our government and the result was that he got kicked off HIS OWN SHOW (Two and A Half Men) and he was made out to be a drug addict and a wife beater. How come all of this SUDDENLY came about after he took up the 9/11 crusade?

I think I remember watching him speak up on Letterman or something. Probably one of the first people I heard it from, too. It was pretty bold and brave of him at the time. So, you're probably right. I'll have to make a note not be too cynical or cast too broad a stroke for next time.

You are right to be cynical!

I am cynical too. I just try to remember that there are a few people out there that are (hopefully) real. I think CS is one of them. Or at least I hope so. A good way to tell is if they end up made out to be nuts or if they end up dead for no good reason. Brittany Murphy is a good example! She mysteriously ended up dead from "prescription drug overdose" after telling people she was being stalked by the feds for knowing something she wasn't supposed to know. Hmmmmmm.

BW isn't much of an actor, so maybe he's on the level.

Pulp Fiction

I kinda liked him in that.
