Mass. boy, trying to avoid bedtime, calls 911

BROCKTON, Mass. (AP) — Police in Massachusetts say a 10-year-old boy called 911 because he didn't want to go to bed.

Brockton police say the boy called 911 just after 8 p.m. Wednesday and told the dispatcher he was calling to report his mother because he did not want to go to bed.

Sometimes a person calls 911 and never has to go to bed ever again.

Not even the tazer? I am stunned.
I got a phone call FROM 9-1-1 one day, decades ago. They asked what my emergency was, and I was utterly confused. After assuring them there was no emergency they asked if there were any small children in the house...
My infant son got to my phone as I was unpacking into a new house - the phone was on the floor. Of all the possible combinations, he managed to dial 9-1-1.
