Drivers stoned on marijuana test their driving skills
Submitted by joeallen on Thu, 02/21/2013 - 22:32Firstb to qualify this post: I do not endorse anybody getting behind the wheel of a road machine while impaired. This story by CNN of all networks tests people high on Marijuana, and it is unexpectedly fair. The DWI hysteria is more about raising revenue for the state and control of the people than public saftey. If you kill someone with an automobile, the penalty should be the same. Is someone killed by someone sober less dead? But this study at least shows being a little high does not impair a driver much if at all. I like the end where they take the sobriety test and the cop says he would arrest them all. I dont think I could pass even stone sober with my bad knees. Of course i would not give a cop permission. We have a right to remain silent and have a lawyer present during any testing. Here is the link.....

rofl!
This world has gone insane. People smoking down on CNN. Helicopter Ben. Drone deployments. Hysterical gun grabbers. American pre-emptive wars and torture. Chemtrails. God help us. What's Addie's phone number?
CNN?
No thanks..

I try to change people every day. Do You?
Exactly how does one test
and score pulling into a Taco Bell?
You
get extra credit for not running over the speaker stand, scraping the drive thru shelf, or eating all of your cinnamon crispas before you leave the window....;)
I like how that cop compared an 18" cone to a pedestrian or a pole..Not..
What can YOU get away with?
Yes, when I was younger I drove cars and motorcycles stoned. I was just plain lucky I never got busted or in an accident. I also drove drunk many times and was again just plain lucky I never got busted or in an accident. I had friends who were not so lucky and a couple died in accidents driving stoned, and the accidents were their fault. Don't for one second try and defend driving stoned and say it is okay. I've been there and so have my dead friends. So? How lucky are you?
You must not have read
my "qualifier". I mostly agree with your point. But my point is that sober people kill more than "drunk" people. using the goberments own statistics, by nearly 2 to 1. The DWI hype is really about revenue and getting us ready for the police state, using DWI check points as an excuse. When you are behind the wheel you should be responsible for any damage caused no matter what state of mind you are in I(including text-ing).

I guess the wacky tobaccy
I guess the wacky tobaccy effects everyone differently. Myself and two of my girlfriends drove from Pa to Tx a few years ago. My one friend is the biggest stoner I know. This girl likes variety and quantity. I was stoned out of my mind that entire road trip. Not one fender bender, not one speeding ticket, hell , we didn't even get lost. We did, however, have a lot of fun!

Hmmm, I don't know.
I been driving for 25+ years, never even gave it a thought about being "high". That includes driving in some of the worst weather known in Alaska, sometimes for hours on desolate snow covered roads...never was there a worry of being impaired by pot. If there ever had been an accident, it could not be attributed to pot use.
Rediculous.
Alcohol....that's a different story. There have been times that there is no way I would even consider trying to drive a vehicle after drinking a good dose of that stuff.
Thesis
The more you smoke equals the more impaired your driving skills become.
lol
Wes- if you make it over this way this is for you.

jrd is still here... kinda in a weird sort of way. She also just might be the happiest girl in the world because she got exactly what she wanted which was a perfect summer wandering playlist.

In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.
I'd love to give it a go
Officially that is.
