Iceland: Heralded for fighting banksters, now out to censor the internet.

Got to purge the nation of porn. I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I don't like porn, I think the over-sexualization of every aspect of life demeans both sex and life, but... Really?

NOOOOOOooooooo!!! Please tell me it isn't so!!

I wouldn't think that Iceland and Birgitta Jonsdotter would let this happen.

take the rose colored glasses off..

its a carefully crafted negative PR hit piece in oh so many ways! (aka propaganda)
just a few to note:
only input for this piece is..annie, former (haha) MI5 agent,
who just happens to be in iceland.
(no other references, ie icelandic, or local, or gov/official input into this piece.)
watch again,
at 01:53-"i think its UN-likely they will INTRODUCE it, but IF they do..(blah blah blah)
at 02:48-"they are very open about media freedoms, also very open about porn.."
at 03:01-that footage running to the left of screen seems to depict a child fondling
in progress at the back of the classroom. (!)

Iceland told the international bankers to go away & surprisingly

Iceland told the international bankers to go away & surprisingly... they did. The international bankers went away.

Now in turn, Island told subjects the Internet would go away too. It did not. Internet connections did not go away.

A curiosity.

Can't legislate morality. Only so much can be done in ice water

anyway before jumping into the hot springs, and then you need to get back into the ice water again.

I thought those people were pretty smart, until now.

That is what legislation is.

If people were moral there would be no laws. But since people are wicked we have to have laws against theft, murder, perversion, etc. Otherwise, the country would be full of politicians and banksters.

The phrase

"Legislating morality" is relative to crimes that don't inherently harm others. Does killing harm someone? Yes. Does stealing harm someone? Yes. Does watching porn harm someone? That's subjective, but if the answer is yes, it only harms yourself.
