Glenn Beck apologizes to libertarians, begs them to welcome new people into the movement

Glenn Beck is upset about how he's received by libertarians. He says we're unwelcoming to newcomers and compares some libertarians to Nazi's. He even goes as far to apologize to libertarians for not knowing about liberty sooner... he's begging us to be nice and teach him and everyone else about liberty.

"Libertarians, I'm begging you... please... see the opportunity you have with 30-60% of the nation... people will come your way."

Glenn Beck famously once called Ron Paul supporters terrorists. In spite of that, he makes some good points about how we treat new people like him, who used to not agree with or even be downright mean to us. I was one of them. This is worth listening to.

So let me get this straight....

First he calls us Nazis and then begs us to be friends? Um Glen, you might try not to call the people you want to be friends with nasty names.

Grow up Glen. It doesn't matter if you have friends. Just do the right thing. Support the constitution. Support candidates who are liberty minded. Be consistent. Quit whining. Quit worrying about what other people think. If you are trying to further the message of liberty and restoring a constitutional republic then we'll end up working together by default.

I mean my god man. Just do the right thing. Be truthful. Be an honorable man. And quit worrying about being popular.

My thoughts exactly

Beck talks is a series of disconnected phrases, maybe that's what years of alcoholism does to a brain or just the style of speech he has developed. Right when you think he is making some sense, you wonder, what did he just say? He called libertarians, fascists, Nazis, crazies, claimed someone peed on him, (OK, who did it? Fess up) then asks forgiveness and wants to join a tribe? Then to top it all off, he looked like he was about to start crying, sheesh is right!

He's absolutely right

I listened to the first 12 minutes of this and I have to say I agree with everything he said.

Words and Deeds

To be vigilant, the electorate must be skeptical towards all those who aspire towards wealth, fame and power for their own sake or out of vanity or because of pride.

Judging by his campaign promises, one might be tempted to believe Obama was some sort of Messiah. That is true of most liars running for president. Media whores are the same way. They can lie with a straight face and make you believe it... because you WANT to believe it.

We have to not want to believe it. We must re-learn the ways of being skeptical and not trusting them at face value. No more "Trust us with this power... we won't really actually use it....". Yah, whatever would be tyrant... whatever...

Glenn is an opportunist and recognized the emerging trend of liberty. Would he be riding the wave of Stalinism if that was instead the trend? We have to wonder. Would he be put out of business and placed in a concentration camp in Soviet Russia for standing up for human rights? Do his actions support this?

He has been attempting to ride the liberty and/or tea party waves ever since he nearly got washed off the airwaves years ago for being a second rate neocon hack.

Then again, listening to some of the seemingly libertarian statements made by Bill O'Reilly and Sean Hannity lately I find myself in shock.

Record and deeds count. I got behind Ron Paul not because of the words he was speaking but because he was willing to be a lone voice of reason and a lone vote of fidelity to the Constitution for 25 years in Congress that he had the record to back up his words with actions.

I am watching Rand. I am hopeful. Deeds count. Rand doesn't have the record to stand on that his father does. They say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree, but I wouldn't want somebody to vote for me based on what they thought of my father or what he might have accomplished. We're two different people. America is not about aristocracy or what your father did or where he even came from. Individuality. I hope for the best with Rand and have supported him financially, but I remain skeptical as should we all. Take nothing for granted.

I would personally say this to Glenn: I'm open minded and forgiving like most libertarians I know. Libertarians are possibly the most tolerant people generally speaking. We all hear your words and they keep sounding better. We're not fooled by words. We're watching your actions. If your actions match your words, then you are living the life and walking the walk and we welcome and applaud you. Keep learning and walking since we're all students all the time forever.

How does an anonymous Libertarian telling Beck to atone for sins make that libertarian a Fascist?

Glenn Beck's mouth is often running without the brain being engaged.
I think he regrets a lot of what comes out.

Is not the way intelligent Libertarians reason with people.

Glenn Beck sure does change, back and forth and back and forth

he has 18 months to insidiously burrow his way into libertarian nationhood and 18 months to realize how crazy we all really are so that he can call us terrorists again just before the next election.

A true flower can not blossom without sunlight and a true man can not live without love.

Heard about Beck ripping off Alex Jones

from the co-producer of "A Noble Lie" Chris Emery who pointed out the article in Rolling Stone and this video:

they're both flawed, and I don;t care who's copying who between them, nor do I care how far they each can pee, respectively.

Full interview and apology to Debra Medina

Would be a start. Of course he demonized her right at a critical poibt in her running for governor of Texas, so the damage has been done no matter how much he schills for our support.

Glen, if you are reading this, have Deb Medina on your show

That's when I lost total respect for Glen Beck, I listened to that interview several times and couldn't believe he sabotaged Deb Medina like that.

Glen if you're reading this, have Deb Medina on and apologize.

Debra Medina

Yes, absolutely Beck should apologize to Cdebra Medina for the way he ambushed her. And he should apologize to Ron Paul. I Still won't trust him until he admits that his whole thesis was flawed. It 's not about Republican vs Democrat, or Left vs Right. It's about liberty. It's about the Constitution.

Edgar Morgan

He's got it backwards as

Beck has it backwards as usual. 'Libertarians' are not interested in putting on the welcome wagon. Loyal supporters will follow you if you're genuine in your words and deeds.

Right on shuleba!

republicans should learn the same lesson as they pander to latinos. I'm sure that is where Beck gets his logic. lol

Wait! He's a 'conservative' again! lol

"....On his radio show this week, Beck slammed the WWE for anti-conservative partisanship..."
Now that he sees another way for more publicity he is 'taking on' the WWE to defend conservatives and the tea party from the unfair portrayal of them by wrestling characters. lol
I love this line: ..."They’re tired of this…I’m sick and tired of being miscast. I am sick and tired of it. It is lazy at best. And I certainly am not going to give any more time or my money to any organization that is miscasting, is making it harder for me and my family to stand up for what I believe in.”...
This might have some weight if whatever the hell he and his family 'believed in' didn't change every other day according to what demographic this asshole feels needs a bump. lol
btw, here is the article. I do not see the word libertarian mentioned once, just sayin.

Beck is still a snake

Recent quote from him about Dr. Paul,

"Quite honestly what Ron Paul wrote yesterday sounds more of the ramblings of Code Pink, the New Black Panthers, or the Westboro Church. I can’t decide which one you’ve gained a membership in – maybe all of them. It’s more the statements of members of one of those organizations than an elder statesman newly retired from office in the service of United States of America."

Divide and conquer much Glen?

What he did to Debra Medina to help his new governor manfriend Perry will always be remembered.

Carl Rove much Glen?

I moniter his radio show and it makes me sick when he invites neo-con "patriots" to move to Texas and be a principled Libertarians like him, he wants to build a Libertarian paradise, sounds like it's a version of disneyland and walmart melded into one insane dystopia where he is the wizard behind the curtain.
he hints at knowledge of Tesla type energy that will be released.

Jim Jones much Glen?

He insults the so called "truthers" because they are bad for the "red team" image. I guess "liars" are better for team advancement.

"birthers" are ridiculous and tarnishing the "team image".
I guess it's better to be a deather.

Yea, you're a principled Libertarian neo-con chicken hawk with Karl Rove pulling one of your strings, best of luck buddy.

Words matter.
Truth and facts rule.
Don't compromise.

if we are taking this POS

if we are taking this POS seriously, it only shows how retarded we have become.

OMFG, He needs to tell his

OMFG, He needs to tell his neocon friends to compromise with us, then and only then we will see liberty prosper under the Republican banner.

He did get a few things right...

Libertarians tend to be very elitist and "I told you so" types. Yeah, you did say so, but that attitude will drive people away.

We need a Libertarian coalition that accepts a little variation. I disagreed with Paul's position on abortion, but I put that aside to support him over Gary Johnson. Even Gary Johnson put that aside to support Paul.

I'm not saying there's no "breaking point" on these guys, but we'll get nowhere without compromise.

I Disagree Respectfully

One doesn't need to digest thousands of pages of boring text books and look at charts and graphs to understand freedom. Human nature is naturally endowed with a universal desire to be free.

If an individual is a member of the electorate that comes with certain responsibilities. If they can't or won't handle it, they're free to relinquish their vote.

I don't get squishy about maximum inclusive democracy. It failed. We don't need morons voting or even involved in the process. Some people lack the virtue to even govern themselves. What gives them the right to foist their dysfunctional and irrationally chaotic personal emotional drama on the body politic?

Even among registered voters there is very little turnout in the average election. Nothing is decided by these people and there is little value in wasting energy trying to teach the irredeemable.

Those who have the fortitude to step up will do so and be distinguished in word and deed. Those who don't are not worth worrying about. The Remnant won't save this situation as it beyond reform. Look for those who are lawful who will survive and rebuild.

There is no compromise when it comes to my liberty for it is priceless and nobody has anything valuable enough to trade me for it. They may only try and steal it from me by force and I may then defend it with my life.

With an entertainer??? A talk show host who will whore himself to anything or anyone that bumps his ratings? If he is serious then what is so important about us 'welcoming him in'? Sorry but if he had an epiphany he will do the right thing on his own and continue to do it whether we welcome him or not. I wish he would just call himself a neocon and put his batshit crazy label on them.

A broken clock is right twice a day.... So what?

He can go sit on it.

He can compromise with us. No more compromising with the likes of him.

When Glen puts 10 years of solid, demonstrable, no-compromise constitutional paleoconservatism behind him, then we can talk.

its not about a couple of disagreements with Beck

Its about not being able to trust him. Its about him pretty much taking all of Ron Pauls positions and then endorsing Frothy Santorum and then Neocon extrordinaire Shitt Romney. Its about him calling SARAH PALIN the next GEORGE WASHINGTON....or him calling Ron Paul the mayor of crazy town and how supporters are terrorists and the military should be used against us and never apologizing. Its about the obvious and concerted sabotage of Debra Medina's campaign. Or how he supported TARP during the most critical time and after it passed, turned against it. Its about him calling us Facists because we do not trust him.

Glenn Shrek is not our friend. He is a hijacker and a benedict arnold. Mark my words he will turn against the movement as soon as his puppet masters (israel) instruct him to do so, he knows who butters his bread.

"I am Troll fighter, number one"

Are you having sex with Glenn

Are you having sex with Glenn Beck? Is he your business partner? Is he watching your kids?

If no on all those, why do you need to trust or not trust him?

compromise got us where we at

compromise got us where we at today, now what?

Right, compromise is a dirty

Right, compromise is a dirty word when applied to the US Constitution. ALL of the compromise MUST come from those individuals who have or would compromise the original intent of the US Constitution. Granted, compromise gave us the US Constitution which was an error as the Articles of Confederation were a safer route to travel. After the US Constitution became the ultimate law of the USA, it became imperative that NO further compromise of the original intent occur in establishing a union of sovereign states. Unfortunately, the US Constitution has been compromised to a terminal stage. Look what Coburn and Schumer are doing to further compromise the 2nd amendment in the US Senate. It's time to hold the former and current individuals who have compromised the original intent of the US Constitution in derision and judgment. Let's start with Lincoln and Obama. Remember, these traitors allegedly functioning in OUR names are compromising away OUR protections.
