The Absence of Valid DebateSubmitted by mister_harris@h... on Sat, 02/23/2013 - 21:43
As I engage in continuous struggle to arrange some sense of reason to our disposition there arises a serious question with regard to debates taking place today.
9/11 debate should be over. Independent investigations have been conducted and ongoing ever since the event. The investigators are composed of intelligent, thoughtful, thorough and capable individuals who have taken the time to do the work on their own accord. The guilty parties are known and they should be presently locked up but they are not.
Cannabis debate should be over. It does the human body no harm and, in fact, is very beneficial to the human species in general. Available research, which extends into the thousands of studies, proves beyond a reasonable doubt that we can all benefit and should be benefiting from a gift of nature that seems to be here just for us. It kills cancer. All of this is proven, verified, reproduce-able fact. Why the hell are we still debating anything when we know that the government continues to lie about it?
Gas mileage in cars has been able to go as high as one hundred miles per gallon in a vehicle that weighs five thousand pounds. In 1979 the US Patent Office issued a patent to a Mr. Tom Ogle for his fuel vapor injection system which enabled him to get this unreal efficiency from his car. This is documented history. Car enthusiasts are reproducing these systems to this day. You can see them on Youtube.com and even meet some of them if you persist. Why are we still debating our severe oil problem? Why are we still debating why we cannot get over fifty miles per gallon in commuter vehicles?
If we are to really change things then we must, at some point, realize that many of our major concerns need to be tackled definitively and once and for all. With the knowledge that we have available today we no longer need to be wasting time on ancillary problems. Fix the ones that we know about for certain. Move onto the next problem as it comes. How can we stop dragging our feet? Our progress is far too slow given the reality of our situation. Besides the spit is still dripping from my face with the Ron Paul campaign. The establishment is nothing short of criminal. It is time for us to see to it that this is nipped in the butt.
