Duncan Hunter just dropped out of the race.

What are the chances of persuading some of his supporters, or maybe even getting an endorsement from him?

Not a chance in hell
It's possible a few of his very small group of supporters might come over, but there's not a chance in hell of Duncan Hunter endorsing Ron Paul. He's a rabid warmonger (and economic protectionist) of the first order who wouldn't dare put his name behind someone who wants to dismantle our foreign empire.
Come on over!!
Duncan Hunter supporters are welcome to share the love in the R3VOLUTION!
Everybody sing
na na na naaaaa
na na na naaaaa
hey hey hey .... good bye!
One more down folks.
Bringing voters over
This is prime opportunity to visit other forums to inform Hunters people about Ron Paul. If we are courteous and don't come on to strong we could bring many aboard. They are ripe. Here is one http://www.topix.com/forum/who/duncan-hunter
Clinton better than McCain/Huckabee for Talk Show Host
I was listening to a republican radio talk show host tonight, Laura Ingraham?, and she said if Huckabee is any where on the republican ticket that she would vote for Clinton. She talked about his son, David, and his problems with attempting to go on a plane with a loaded gun, and Huckabee's wanting to change the constitution. I think Huckabee is finished for a lot of people. Romney and McCain are the ones to beat.

She'd say the same about us
She'd say the same about us if she said that about Huck. Are we finished? And if so would your opinion of our status be any different?
I'd personally take the same approach that I would take if she said that about RP, that she's not really a conservative of any kind if she's voting for Hillary.
Wow
In fairness, it seemed like Hunter was getting even less media coverage than Paul, although Dr, Paul is getting absolutely none recently. C-Span was the only channel that even had Hunter's name on the board, although he was at 0%
Both Hunter and Tancredo
supported Ron Paul's position on sovereignty and North American Union.
Ron Paul drafted a declaration of war!
For Ron Garcia:
Perhaps you can point out that Ron Paul was the only person in Washington who had the integrity to push for a formal declaration of war.
Military members can also be swayed by the fact that Ron Paul is the only person in Washington who honors his oath of office the same way they honor their own oaths.
I kinda feel sorry for Duncan Hunter. Even though I didn't support him, I never thought he was evil like most of the others.

Don't blame me! I voted for Ron Paul!
And if I remember....
correctly, he voted against it.
If you watch
the video of RP talking about the North American Union in the debate. He's about the only one that looked in RP's direction with interest.
We need to start enticing Fred Thompson supporters too.
Fred was the closest to us in the race. we can find many common points of agreement, states rights and fiscal conservatism for example. His and hunters supporters along with us, would give us a very good percentage of the vote. Be nice, say nice things and tell them that if they liked fred, they'll like us. They certainly wont like huckabee or romney.
I think
they'll convert to McCain unfortunately.
Not True Conservatives
The base of the Republican party, the true conservatives, will never vote for McCain and generally distrust the front runners. I see them more likely to go for Romney (because of his business background) than McCain, but on Townhall.com, a lot of people were saying there were only three conservatives in the race: Thompson, Paul, and Hunter. They generally didn't like Ron Paul because of foreign policy, but when confronted with the likes of Huckabee, Romney, and McCain, they might just find Ron Paul to be an acceptable alternative.
It doesn't hurt to try.
Agreed ...Try
but I think the type that went for strong "sounding" Thompson will go for McCain's whip ass and take names. Just my opinion.
Excellent result in Nevada.
RP may be fifth in SC.
IIRC, Hunter was with Ron on the anti-Nafta Corridor bill
I remember this was discussed in one of the more recent debates.
Collectivism is slavery.
Collectivism is slavery.
Reported on all major networks
And Thompson will be tomorrow.
Do we see RPs strategy yet? 5 Will be remaining going into super tues, and 3 of those campaigns are BROKE.
this is just the begining
Come on over Hunter supporters
We agree on several issues including immigration.
We RP supporters also want Ramos and Campion freed from prison for defending our borders from drug smugglers.
GEAUX RON PAUL 2012.
Hunter will Run for California governor
.
I think he will be a big step up from Arnold
target Constitutionalists
I don't know the demographics of those supporters who have been voting for Hunter, but when the Constitution Party was asking for recommendations of people that might make a good candidate for their party early last year, his name was a suggestion (along with Ron Paul and Alan Keyes). This may provide a boost from those who support the war, but won't compromise on a record of pro-Constitutional voting.
That's actually the first time I heard of Duncan Hunter.
Arnold a major disappointment for sure...
better than Gray Davis, but still....a big government guy all the way. I'm afraid that's what Californians have become, though. What percentage are already living off the government in one way or another?
Is that speculation?
Or have you heard it from other sources?
I do support a number of Hunter positions, and, as Governor, his committed position on "the War" would be irrelevant, making him more palatable.
Hunter
Superbly nice guy, very good solid conservative, but very dedicated to the 'war on terror'. However, I think a lot of his people could be convinced to come over to our side if we do it gently. Hunter got NO TRACTION because like Tancredo, even tho both are good conservatives, they refused to sell out to the CFR/Elitists. Otherwise, you would have thought Hunter would have been the ideal mainstream GOP candidate... His record on fiscal stuff, immigration and the rest of the traditional GOP things is the best.
At the South Carolina Straw Poll....
....Duncan Hunter said nice things about Ron Paul supporters in his speech. He took a lot of pictures with us. He really is a nice guy. One of the ladies in our group went over to Duncan Hunter, during dinner, and asked him if he was a member of the CFR. He said "no" and something about his family not letting him join. I wish he was against the Real ID.
Hunter can always change his mind about real ID - for our suppor
for Gov. of California. Are there any other major differences we want to deal with?
I'd rather HE did not want to join CFR rather than it being his family who was against it.
Yes, we need to try to change his mind about Real ID
I think he would make a great Governor for CA. He is well known there and well liked. I don't think there are any other major differences that we would need to deal with.
Oh, I'm very sure that he is dead set against the CFR also. He values national sovereignty very highly.
He may want to run for Governor because he is giving up his Congressional seat so that his son can run for it.
Let's offer our support for Hunter for Gov. - Calii-fornia....
Let's get the word out of our support! Another piece of the established order eliminated!
Guiliani is "counting on
Guiliani is "counting on Florida". I live in Florida, have seen very little support for him here. I think if he flops here, and I believe he will, he will throw in the towel. He is out of money, has won nothing, and Florida, I highly doubt, will come thru in his favor. Unless we have vote fraud here also.
I live In Florida Also
Recent articles I have read show Giuliani dropping to 3rd or 4th place in Florida. One article cited his recent visits to retirement communities and said they aren't buying what he is selling.
