So... Ron Paul 2016?!

It needs to happen, but how do we convince him?

I'm all for it but no matter who steps up for that spot

if "we" don't get some sort of system ready to count the vote TRULY independently and SAFELY, nobody we put up, is going to get a fair shake.

He should have been the president.

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution, inevitable.

It would be nice.

"if "we" don't get some sort of system ready to count the vote TRULY independently and SAFELY"

But I've given up hope on that, at least for the foreseeable future. The impact that Ron, Nap, Woods, and even Justin, are having is far more important, whether we win or lose a presidency. I would MUCH rather have the plain and simple truth spread everywhere so that more people will become involved locally. Once that is done, more accountability can be had. You and I agree that president is only a figure head, aside from cancelling out the nonconstitutional eo's :-)

Many here are supporting their choice of candidate for 2016 as the answer to all of the problems. While I will definately support the right candidate, my goal is to work toward r3VOLution rallies to EXCEED 2008 and 12.

I do agree but having a libertarian.. a real one

in the whitehouse could do wonders for our ideas. in the end though, doing things locally and statewise is another and maybe more efficient and less co-optable pathway.

Maybe if we can get enough consistent waves crashing and eroding TPTBGOP's, I and people like me won't have to do something "stupid".

Of course now, if they go the way of gun registration and gun confiscation, which I think is highly probable, then it's on anyway. They may very well do that if they feel they are losing ground.

Your post

Your post is indisputable :-(

Rougher times are ahead, indeed.

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

Why not?

It would be the easiest presidency in U.S. history. He would sign one, maybe two executive orders to cancel out the unconstitutional ones on his first day, then ride his bike and walk the garden the rest of the days. He would never entertain engaging other nations, rather, he would instruct Congress to do their job correctly for a change.

It seems to me Ron would have a pretty relaxing time in the White House, Carol might even help out in the kitchen, or at least loan them a copy of her cook book :-)

Good grief, you guys make everything sound so difficult.

8 Presidents have died in

8 Presidents have died in office. That's not good odds. It's a brutal job, nonstop pressure and activity, more pressure than you could believe. And there's a reason people retire. They get old, they need more rest, have more health problems, eyesight slips... RP would have an easier time taking care of himself and lasting longer in retirement and doing speaking engagements on his own schedule.

Of course I would LOVE that but...I think it's more likely...

...that the tables will turn and Ron will be campaigning for Rand in the future.

Rand falls quite short of being his dad, but perhaps he'll get better. He has done a fair amount of good in the Senate.
I hated that he campaigned for Romney. Hard to forgive that.

But he's still by far the best member of congress in my opinion and it will probably take him several runs at the presidency before getting a realistic shot at winning.

If Ron were to campaign for Rand - and if Rand learns to stay principled, I think he'd have a chance of winning.

But as with Ron, Rand's biggest hurdle will be the republican party itself.

"We have allowed our nation to be over-taxed, over-regulated, and overrun by bureaucrats. The founders would be ashamed of us for what we are putting up with."
-Ron Paul

I doubt that Ron will ever

I doubt that Ron will ever run again. In my opinion, he will likely use his position to help his son, Rand.

The only thing necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to not support Ron Paul!

Just a few months ago he seemed to like the idea

I'm sure Ron will run again if he's convinced that Liberty can still make massive gains.

With a Republican party that's admitting to itself (from the neck down, anyways) that it can't win with the same ol' neocon horseshit that we've been putting up with for a century a man like Ron Paul can only gain support. Hell, if Ron wasn't constantly being screwed Romney wouldn't have gotten close to the nomination during 2012.

Every day we see more and more support for our ideas, even in the MSM it's starting to increase (We'll see if Beck is serious this time around).

Ron Paul 2016.

Ron Paul 2016

Beck is serious about anything that keeps him in the spotlight.

But Dr. Paul would have my vote again.

As a matter of respect-----

I may write in Ron Paul for President in EVERY election, No Matter Who Runs!!

Yep.

That thought has crossed my mind ;-)

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

It is an absurdity to think of convincing Dr. Paul to run... but

It is the antithesis of Dr. Paul's character and principles to seek the presidency, power, fame, or fortune!

It is his thesis that we light brush-fires of constitutional liberty in the hearts and minds of the electorate, America.

If they, so inflamed, choose him, he would no doubt take the office!

A better question therefore would be, will we consent to use what precious time and resources left us, and light those fires?

The fuel could not be more flammable and the need for it's heat so clear!

If we are successful this time, building upon the energy of both his career and the new awakening for freedom emerging from the last two campaigns, then no doubt we will be able to say with sufficient strength at last:

Ron Paul 2016! Get use to it!

Already has my vote.

I will always vote for the person I want to be president (no 'party voting'or lesser of two evils shit) and as long as Dr. Paul is alive and there is nobody else equal or better who represents my interests, or he endorses someone, I will do what I have done the past two elections and write him in.

Maybe Rand will step down in

Maybe Rand will step down in the middle of his presidential bid and endorse... his Dad! That might drag in some of the RepubliCans.

Historic Ron - Rand Paul Ticket...

That would get some attention! With Judge Napolitano as Attorney General.

Restore the Foundations - "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

Now THAT is a ticket!...

With Peter Schiff as Treasury Secretary (or Fed Chairman; that is, until it's shut down), Michael Scheuer as CIA Director, and Thomas Woods as White House Press Secretary.

I wonder if Ron would pardon

I wonder if Ron would pardon Peter Schiff's father?

I think Dr. Paul would pardon Schiff.

In fact, I'd be damned disappointed if he didn't.

-Ron Paul

I like the way you both think

.

Possibility

We would have more of a chance to convince him closer to the time. He'd never make that decision this far away.

I hope he does though. The quicker the change the better.

I think Ron Paul knows it's

I think Ron Paul knows it's time to step back out of the spotlight in order for his son to take a step forward. And he's done exactly that. Rand is in the spotlight now, getting the kind of attention (and dare I say respect) the MSM never gave his father.

We all know Ron Paul is not too old to be president, but most of us here think differently than everyone else. Everyone else thinks he's too old, ran three times already, and should spend time with his wife Carol, and all of his grandchildren. Let the man retire in peace, and be with his family....he's done so much for us already, I do not think it is fair to ask more of him.

Never be afraid to ask simple questions.

Respect from the msm,

from the example that Ron has given us, is a bad thing. Ron Paul is not too old to run again, in fact he is probably in better shape than most the competition.

Isaiah 2:4
And he shall judge among the nations, and shall rebuke many people: and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks: nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

I'm going to stand for rand

I LOVE Ron Paul, and hope to see him many times leading up to included in Ran's campaign.

the apple...

and the distance from the tree...

is not great grasshopper.

dont be stupid

dont be a moron, Ron Paul is done, retired, finsihed. He isnt running any more. Get over it already!

You'd have probably dissed Ben Franklin too...

Just saying.

Restore the Foundations - "If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?"

lol ok

I expected a couple of comments like this. You sound defeated...

I don't see any indication it is in his plans, though.
