I am a pretty girl, I can speak fast... And I have no clue what I'm talking about... On Obama and his "-ism"

I swear I stumbled upon her post by accident (how could it be otherwise, anyway?!)
Just thought I should share to recall us which extent of ignorance we're up against:

I'd say that our current

I'd say that our current governmental system employs elements of both fascism and socialism. If someone advocates these to any degree I call them either a fascist or socialist or both.

Give the kidd a break....and i don't mean her neck.

If you want to blame anything, blame the education, this poor child apparently has gotten up to this point. My two beautiful daughters, used to talk fast, fight for every tree hugging, lizard saving, transparent underground fish protection act,....etc.They even VOTED OBAMA the first time around, but you know what? It took about six months into his first term, when they realized the horror, and the truth of the two party paradigm, and even worse, DAD was right. Now they are pistol packing patriots. It was some of the best times of my life watching them figuring out for themselves. We worked together for Dr.Paul this last time around, and they have read all his books, and can cut to pieces any Cainsian, they in counter on sound money. We can never give up on our kidds,i mean look at DR. PAUL,DRAWING THOUSANDS!to this day on his college speaking tours. Lets hope he gets to her college soon!

I wonder

When she uses the Political ideology chart does she wonder how the NAZIs (national socialists) are on the opposite end of the spectrum from the facists even though they are the textbook example of fascists? Apparently, socialism means you don't have a dictator either; show me one example......

She's only a few questions away from a wild ride

I hope someone is showing her some JBS videos right now. Poor child, she has pieced together the political spectrum from tv shows. I think she'll figure things out, she seems interested.

If you still view the world as Republicans vs Democrats...

...then Democrat is the only choice.

The problem is that people like this end up viewing everyone who disagrees with them as part of the opposite party. The vast majority of the things Republicans say are completely idiotic, and you have to admit most of the things she says in this video are totally true. So if she views "us" as one of "them" then it's no wonder she won't listen to the logic or reasoning and instead just dismisses our arguments by association.

Sad, but not too surprising given human nature.

I guess she wasn't paying attention in class when she was taught

that Nazi was was short hand for Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei translation: National Socialist German Worker's Party.

Or maybe she wasn't taught that because she went to Publik Sküle. But she has a brain, and can apparently use the internet. Her ignorance is now her own fault.

She should also heed the admonishment to "better be silent and thought a fool, than to speak and remove all doubt."

So he's a fascialist! :D

Nazism is socialism.

Socialism is based upon state monopoly. This is true both for nazism and fascism. The strongest argue about the difference between socialism and fascism is that the fascism os not as strong with social programs, the welfare state.

However, nazism had strong welfare programs. They had public schools, universal healthcare, state pensions program and public service as state media with monopoly etc. Even religions where pretty much banned so it wouldn't threat the power of the state. Much of the market where nationalized, the private industries where strongly regulated and taxes very high. Hitler said that nationalsocialism was the "third way", meaning the state didn't take complete ownership of the industries, but they forced upon them certain goals. It is not without reason why the nazis party where called The National Socialist German Worker Party. The nazis stated clearly the movement was based upon marxism, the workers control of production and a powerfull socialist state.

As an example. The communist took complete ownership over the car manufacturer, while the nazis instead let the current board and owners own and to a certain extinct control their industry, but the state set the goals. For an example in five years must you produce a car for only X amount of money aviable for all citizens. This made nazism more effecient than communism.

As you can see, the nazis had almost identical with the european Social Democrats. The difference however, was that the social democrats where not "radicals" and believed in democracy. This was the only difference!

In my country, Sweden, hade the nazis strong support among the social democrats! The nazis even in a point of time had a strong support with the communists (when the cooperated for power)! The right wing parties however strongly rejected nazism, since it was national socialism.

This whole propaganda about the nazis being right winged is something which started to occur mainly after the war.

Sorry for my english and long post.

I hear you.

I hear you. We all understand in the end that it's ALL about statism and how it can degenerate ... correction, how it DID degenerate 90% of the time, soon or late.

Now, on this:

"This whole propaganda about the nazis being right winged is something which started to occur mainly after the war."

That, I know, too. ALL too well. Thank you, public education systems. The student programmes had/have to be written by socialists, I can't explain it otherwise - that's how the brainwashing worked. These frauds cannot reckon that their system is failure doomed to end in utter misery and violence and tyranny. So they HAD TO rewrite History.

Disgusting LEECHES. Or useful idiots.

Btw, without failing, he of course cited Norway and Sweden as "great examples of socialism that works". Yeah, right.

Works damn well in my own France, too. Disgusting FRAUDS.

Fascism & Socialism are different Means to the same End

Central Planning = Central Authority = Central Ownership ~Hayek

Central Planning = Socialism, Fascism, Serfdom, Marxism, State 'Capitalism' (sic), and the list goes on.

If one/a group assumes the Responsibility/Right to Plan the Property, Labor, Lives of another/others, one has assumed the Authority to do so. If one has the Authority, then one de facto/in effect Owns said Property, Labor, and Life.

Hayek correctly points out that all the Central Planning 'isms' are systems of Central Authority and Ownership that leaves the Planned For defunct of most Individual Planning, Authority, and Ownership.

It is not the Names that are important, but rather the Roles and Responsibilities of those who are in the system. It does not matter what you call Central Planning, it ALWAYS leads to Central Ownership.

Hayek does show that there are some nuances between Socialism and Fascism, however, he also shows that Socialism (which he defines as less coercive) always leads to Fascism which is more coercive. He shows that as Central Planning shows its deficiencies, it must use more and more Coercive/Violent means to achieve its ends. It must assume more and more responsibilities away from the individual since it cannot predict everyone's moves. It must instead Coerce everyone to the same end.

Peace Keeping turns into Law Enforcement, Law Enforcement turns into Camps, and Camps turn into Mass Graves. Once people are appraised by their usefulness to the Central Planners . . .

We're already here folks.

I'm guessing

her parents are just as ignorant as she. You can't totally blame public education or the media, my kids had public education and were subjected to msm. All I had to do was let my kids listen to Dr. Paul once and they took to liberty like ducks to water. So I guess it falls on her parents, maybe they are bankers :)

The bold effort the present bank had made to control the government ... are but premonitions of the fate that await the American people should they be deluded into a perpetuation of this institution or the establishment of another like it-Andrew Jackson

She has a right to this speech - and more.

No matter how much you may disagree with it, maybe even just parts of it, she has a right. A statistical improbability for someone her age, she has some interest in politics and the process in general. This makes her somewhat exceptional, in this regard. Remember, some of these kids don't know about Fast & Furious, the fact that the President Obama's Attorney General attended the State of the Union while under Contempt of Congress, that U.S. is engaged in an overt and covert policy of killing human beings via remote controlled aerial attacks in multiple countries, and is still practicing classified rendition of "enemy combatants" and now "threats to national security". In the words of Neil Young, we have a "kinder, gentler, machine gun hand" leading us into oblivion. The mainstream news simply does not cover the horrors that the U.S. government perpetrates around the world as its parent companies benefit in enormous ways from government subsidy and profiteering from these practices.

The only way to turn the table is not to objectify or dehumanize the enemy - in this case a young girl. The answer is to try to respond with fact-based arguments. Academics still argue over whether Hitler was socialist or fascist; the reality is that it doesn't matter, as his actions as an elected leader resulted in the most devastating war in the history of the world. Here is where we could use some pragmatism and not idealism: yes, forget about the 'isms for awhile, and look at what the person is authorizing under their watch.

I have begun to postulate that many areas of the government technically under the control of the President, particularly agencies like DHS, CIA, NSA, DARPA, DIA, etc. are operating well outside of the President's control. In some cases, I believe they are simply forcing the president to sign legislation as a part of some bargain that was likely made decades before he took office. A prime example is the closing of Guantanamo: While Obama signed this as one of his first executive orders to close this base, it is still open. While his Justice Department vowed to try those terrorist suspects in U.S. courts, they remain in indefinite internment without habeas corpus. And while no new inmates have been moved to that prison, this is largely because they are being subjected to targeted killing, instead of senseless torture intimidation and interrogation. The mere existence of the torture program damaged the U.S. reputation with the public, which endangered a continuation of what is ultimately an endless state of war and emergency.

There is no need to interrogate people who are simply radicalized by the mire of poverty and the obliteration of their human rights by one world power or another. The U.S. describes its drone program as "mowing the lawn". The U.S. has not entered into a war with a country that has a real army since Pearl Harbor. We are picking off third world nations and killing human beings (including U.S. citizens), who some bureaucratic lobby has determined will pose an imminent threat to U.S. "interests", whatever they may be, at an indescribable future time.

This is a complete abandonment of the American containment policy that began after WW2. It started with George Bush and continues with Obama. It also abandons, at least, for the most part, the illusion that the U.S. behaves any more decently than other nations around the world ("lead by example" doctrine). The U.S. now leads by example by constantly being in a state of war with an unknown, dehumanized, indescribable enemy for most of our lifetimes. In my opinion, those who have moved to "socialist" Europe, for this reason, are probably better off. At least their MPs at least try to represent them. At least their representatives feet are held to the fire, and when serious wrongdoing is uncovered, governments are disbanded and replaced.

My point is that this girl is just an example of someone who has lived mostly in the 9-11 generation. Generation Zero. Whatever you want to call it in pop culture. There is a divergence where Americans have a great number of personal freedoms and the perception of this freedom is constantly reinforced over and over again in campaign slogans and in speeches all the time. The reality, today, is that most of the industrialized world also lives in freedom, and these rights are not restricted or distorted in bizarre ways. In Portugal, I was able to have a cigarette with an ash tray brought to me, at a public restaurant, without glaring faces, rude behavior as if I was destroying the universe itself, etc. There was little to no police presence.

The United States is destroying itself from within. Viewing the rest of the modern world as socialist is just an easy out to explain why being crazy here makes sense. There is no such thing as American exceptionalism or any type of national exceptionalism. It is a carrot on a stick created by power hungry politicians. America had a brief moment of truly being exceptional once it won independence from Britain, but it ended almost immediately thereafter. There was nothing exceptional about the Gettysburg Address, or anything else to the effect. In every other industrialized, western country, slavery was ended without a shot fired. That war, if not anything else, proved we are nothing close to being exceptional.

I view the assassination of John F. Kennedy as being turning point of American politics where I truly believe a coup d'etat took place within the government. Some outside force controls the presidency. Look at candidate GW Bush vs. President GW Bush. Look at candidate Obama vs. President Obama. Look at what they promised vs. what they implemented when it came to executive privilege and foreign policy. Look at every president since Kennedy and tell me something is not strangely wrong with the candidate vs. the elected.

"Democracy" is quietly becoming an illusion here. For those who say the U.S. was never meant to be a democracy, I urge you to face the realization that yes, this is true, but it is a democratic republic, at least, on paper. That is quietly disappearing. Just a few more decades... it is as clear as day for anyone who has watched it dissolve since the mid 1960's.

Oddly, it seems that Carter was one of the few who went rogue, at least according to whatever machinations were in store for him. His speeches landed him in hot water with the media when he addressed the true source of the state of emergency: a crisis of consumption and a crisis of conscience. The media destroyed him for it, and blamed all horrors, such as the economy left for him by his predecessors, which now looks like a minor blip on the radar in comparison to Bush/Obama.

This girl just hasn't woken up. She will occasionally wake up at the airport when she is accosted, as we have all been, or she will think this is normal - it has always been this way. That seems to be what the are looking for. Keep the invisible enemy ever present - something they could not achieve in Vietnam when the war turned completely hot and people wanted out. The biggest success for the Obama administration was killing Bin Laden and still continuing the war indefinitely. His death should have marked the end of the targeted killing campaigns. The machinations for war are being controlled by departments outside the presidency and I do not believe the president has full control of the government, and has not, for many decades.

She had me up to around a minute 20...

Socialism and fascism are different things by definition, hence the different words, and they're not mutually exclusive. You can have one without the other, or you can have both. Which would be the least of the three potential evils - socialism, fascism, or socialistic fascism/fascistic socialism? Sort of like trying to figure out who you would rather be robbed by: a drug addict, a school for orphans in Kenya, or the owner of a coal furnace that can also run on federal reserve notes. Even if you go with the Kenyan kids it will be at gunpoint and you'd better not complain about it, even in your sleep.

BTW - curious what a 'fasces' looks like? Pull a dime out of your pocket and look at the back...
