As I started my research I read something that was reassuring.
Let me quote Q Link Wireless:
"The Universal Service Fund program is not a tax paid by U.S. taxpayers. The Universal Service Fund program is funded from contributions by telecommunications carriers collected in part from the Universal Service Charge applicable to all forms of interstate telecommunication services."

Universal Service Fund

Sure the Taxpayers aren't paying for these "free" phones... But those of us with contracts are being charged the Universal Service Fee, to provide phones for those without.

If I get this correctly, it is then the FEEpayers whom are providing this service, NOT the TAXpayers.

But I am NOT Anti-America... America is Anti-Me.

Correct

If you are a person with a phone of any kind you are paying the FCC mandated tax.Unless of course your phone is one of the free ones from the government. However, if it is a government fund managed by the government than YOU ARE PAYING FOR IT!
