"Critics of the NDAA contend that the law is clearly illegal under the Supreme Court precedent in Marbury vs. Madison, in which Chief Justice John Marshall, in 1803, held that any law "repugnant" to the U.S. Constitution is "void."

Chief Justice Marshall wrote:

People at that time had a lot more time on their hands and could think more clearly about tings.

And if the law is illegal, then officials acting under tha law

are acting illegally. There have been many NDAA nullification efforts but this gets closest to the heart of the matter.

What an amazing heritage we have. In 1803 a Chief Justice lived who almost exactly foresaw what tyrants would attempt to do today, and cut them off at the knees. Never prouder to be an American.
