Lobbyist Demands Approval For "Lethal" Drones Within United States - VIDEO

Applewhite admits UAVs have been used for “indiscriminate killings”

Paul Joseph Watson | Infowars.com | February 25, 2013

Testifying against a bill that would put limits on the use of unmanned drones in Washington state, industry lobbyist Paul Applewhite shocked a House Committee hearing when he said that drones had been used for “indiscriminate killings,” while arguing that the technology should be approved for “lethal force” within the United States.

Applewhite is president of Seattle-based Applewhite Aero, a company “founded to provide unmanned systems and training to government and industry.”

Yep, everything looks normal here.

A person acting appropriately to the level, label and role they identify with.

Sucks to be that guy. He seems like a bit of an a$$h*le.

Sorry, Charlie! That's what CAPITALISM is all about!!

He's AFRAID he's gonna lose his a--ss & go BANKRUPT, and all his "friends", suppliers, etc. This is all this is about, folks, MONEY, with capital letters.

Look, he & his co-horts and business friends came up with the ideas of drones, or expanded on them, hoping he/they could make a killing on GOVERNMENT CONTRACTS, get it?

He's worried like heck he's gonna lose his you know what, and he's NOT kidding me. Sorry Charlie!

Someone from an international

Someone from an international 'anything' shouldnt be lobbying our congress.

To climb the mountain, you must believe you can.

what about collateral damage?

what about collateral damage? How is this not an issue? How many innocent Americans are allowed to die in the name of domestic security?

Freedom always wins

Police State Is A Threat

All ideas which can make us safer or stop crime, have good sounding reasons for their need.

For instance, why not put government cameras in all homes to stop or prevent child and wife beating, or other crimes? Here's some of the reasoning/questions they'll ask - "Do you not care about children who're abused? Do you not want to stop crimes? We now have the technology to stop crimes before they occur, why would you be against that? What do you have to hide"?

These arguments always work in support of a police state. Of course they ignore the threat that a police state is to our liberty.

The last thing about screening law enforcement

Did all those policemen that shoot up the innocent in California last week, during the manhunt... were they properly screened? I just don't understand how you think a disfunctional government will save people, by giving it MORE toys and authority. What do you need to see, the cabin burning via a drone strick instead of the gas grenadas? Maybe the boating adventure you discribe turned out not to be the best judgement on the part of the parents. The world is not the safest place, and tax dollars have limited purposes.

Paul Applewhite must be shunned. His business must be ostracized by the community and by peace loving Americans everywhere.
What a creep.

pure scumbag

what a piece of shit

i have a question , how are cops doing all the things they do now currently as of today WITHOUT ANY DRONES AT ALL ?

they dont need them , its just another excuse to move money around

moving money around is what all of these corrupt systems have been setup to do.

This guy

..is a psycho imo.

I thought car sales-people were out of control.

I sense that he wants to be the next head of something like taser international.

These people MUST be stopped.

These people MUST be stopped.

Mark Twain demands cease & desist order on drone destruction!

Have we lost our way? Drones guided to our our destruction?

Asking for permission? No!

We already have the technology

to do all the things these drones do...satellites and helicopters. This is just another expeniture to the taxpayer that we cannot afford. And are we supposed to trust the government and the cops not to abuse this technology? NO! NO! NO!

That is the answer

to my unasked question because I really don't know.. do helicopters and satellites work when you are hunting for possible survivors of a sailboat sinking? I live not far from the coast and I went to school with two guys who, at separate times went missing. One washed off the rocks and one disappeared while diving for abalone. It's just heartbreaking.

That being said, I completely agree with you saying that the government and the police would misuse and abuse this technology.

And because this is on my mind, who knows how factual this is. I hate that.

I didn't get that impression

He didn't say drones were used for indiscriminate killing. What he said was that we went from indiscriminate killing [implication: without drones] to discriminate killing with drones. As in, the US previously indiscriminately killed, e.g. with carpet bombing.

The bottom line is that private citizens should not have to file any paperwork before playing with their toys. If they commit illegal eavesdropping with their toys, then that's illegal eavesdropping--no new paperwork, no new laws required.

I want no restrictions on what I do with my drone. Any law regulating drone use by the state should apply strictly to the state.

Take back the GOP and Restore America Now.

and if they try to spy

On pigeon shoots, they are likely to get shot down.

I agree about few limits. Perhaps limit armed drones for both the government and the public would be the only one I would consider.

Fox news reporting Coastguard

received mayday calls and is searching for missing boaters off the coast of california. 2 adults and 2 children, one a 4 yr old... no working gps due to electronic failure while taking on water.. no lifeboat.. no survival suits.. trying to make a raft out of cooler and a rescue ring... now that is something where one of the (edit) drones could have useful..

Praying for a successful rescue..

edit: I checked the news the moment I opened my eyes this morning and apparently they are still missing..

Great idea!

1. Secretly shoot down boat with drone
2. Publicly find bodies with drone
3. $$PROFIT$$!!

That went around in my head about 2 minutes after hearing about this...
Infuriating eh? Completely!!
