Politico: Bill Unveiled To Legalize Medical Pot

Flanked by more than 150 advocates from around the country, Oregon Democrat Earl Blumenauer on Monday put forward his legislation allowing states to legalize medical marijuana in an effort to end the confusion surrounding federal pot policy.
Blumeanuer’s legislation, which has 13 co-sponsors — including GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher of California — would create a framework for the FDA to eventually legalize medicinal marijuana. It would also block the feds from interfering in any of the 19 states where medical marijuana is legal.
At a press conference outside the Capitol, Blumenauer didn’t attack the Drug Enforcement Agency for targeting marijuana dispensaries or blame the Justice Department for forcing marijuana businesses to operate in a legal gray zone. Instead, he pitched his legislation as a solution to the confusion surrounding federal marijuana policy.

I'll be curious
to see how many "Republicans" vote against this. Maybe even some "Tea Party" types?
Your morals =/= my laws.
i/we are planning on a voter
i/we are planning on a voter education group for the 2014 colorado elections so our counties, lake, summit and eagle as well as some of the state races have accountability. We will not allow any elected officials in our counties to run and hide from the largest voting block in colorado;) The Marijuana voting block will hold all candidates accountable in 2014. This i promise you and dp/rpf:)

Until the fed gov reschedules with science and facts instead of lies. They have 0 credibility on the issue medical or personal. All they have to do is remove it as a schedule one drug which it is not. Until then the gov is full of crap and BS! They(fed gov) have 0 credibility on the issue.

You called it, Sir.
Again, this is a great step: legalization. It's just not the end of the story.
The elite don't care about us getting high. They care about We the People growing our own fuel/power/food supply in our backyard, untaxed.
If 6% of all crops in the US were hemp = bye-bye BP/Exxon/GE.
Know what I'm sayin'? Getting high isn't even half the fun. Half the fun is saving thousands on ENERGY for EVERY household.
Ahhhh I just want the entire Daily Paul to JUMP on this.
If you don't know your rights, you don't have any.
your spot on, it has never
your spot on, it has never been about getting high, over 50,000 plus products can be made with hemp and that is just the beginning.

It's evident they don't care
It's evident they don't care about people getting high since the hemp stuff is still outlawed where the medicinal pot excuse is legal. But realize that we still couldn't power our world from growing anything. We still need what's underground until someone slips free energy through the cracks and doesn't get assassinated.
hemp is now legal in colorado
hemp is now legal in colorado and washington. ;)

That's good.
