Have you made any friends here on the Daily Paul?

I consider all of us here friends. But have you made any real friends? I mean, someone that you've emailed with outside the DP? Or beyond that, spoken with on the telephone, or skyped with? Or even beyond that, met up with in the physical world?

I have often wondered about that. The DP is its own online ecosystem, but I wonder how far that ecosystem extends into the physical world?

If you haven't made any real friends here, you should try it. You can contact other members by clicking on their username, and hitting the "contact" tab (if they have it activated) and sending them a note.

Curious to hear your experiences, if you would like to share.

Nice!

to hear all the stories.

Profound. Mind blowing. A cosmic, karmic web we're weaving here friends.

I consider you a friend Michael!

Even tho we've never met, I know you used to live here in Seattle and if we ever did meet, I have no doubt I'd consider you to be a friend.

Also, I met Zak Carter who sponsored the "Rock the Revolution" Tour.

I actually played in his opening show. It was short-lived, but a great effort nonetheless.

Zak is a good man who understands things. And he's an Iraq veteran to boot.

contact

I have had email contact with a Canadian of Iranian descent. It has been very positive. Thank you!

Bonjour!

Yes, me to. You sent a great link the other day.

Don't forget, if you do travel to Tehran again, let me know. I'm sure I can arrange for my cousins to take you around to some nice places.

all the best.

No but...

He saw me advertise my 5th graders awesome work ( http://elmhurstpics.info ) here on the DP and contacted me through that website! He can't believe someone else in Chicagoland is as mad at the gubbermint as he is!

Soon we'll have lunch I think....

yep and some enemies too.

yep and some enemies too.

Made me LOL

:)

not yet!

I haven't made any real friends here and have only conversed with a couple of folks. But, some people from here stick out in my mind. You get to know people by their posts. Perhaps I will meet some of them on one of my motorcycle trips this summer. I have met and become friends with other people I have met online elsewhere but usually it takes a bit of time to get to that point.

Do you have a route planned out yet?

"What if the American people learn the truth" - Ron Paul

nothing definitive ;)

I have never been to Hells Canyon in Eastern Oregon so I do intend on going there and I envision going into Idaho as well. On the other hand I have been known to expand my trips depending on money and opportunity. I'll probably do a car trip to So Cal sometime this spring as well. I have some business to attend to.

Cool

I am fairly close and have family who run cows there. We also live on the most beautiful Eastern Oregon drive. Could probably put you up or at least have a good steak!

so much of Eastern Oregon

is beautiful! Will be in contact this summer when I figure it out.

I have real life friends who all read this. I haven't met anyone on here but have appreciated all the opinions. I didn't get an account until recently, seeing as by the time i viewed a post, someone had already posted my general thoughts followed by a series of counterarguments by other DPers usually. I went and seen Dr. Paul when he went to Utah Valley University a couple months ago.. I'm sure there were a few DPers there besides the car full of people i took though. Utah is so republican that not much can be done to change things here, but there are a lot of Ron Paul supporters around still, we out signed Romney during the last election here in our part of Utah which was awesome... We did have Mike Lee though and I always thought he was a good one. Without DP I don't think I would have faith in a change for the good anymore.. After the last horrible election cycle, all the horrible policies we are undertaking. So thanks everyone.

Yes!

I met up with a fellow DPer in person a couple of weeks ago for lunch when he was passing through my area on a trip. Would love to meet more!

At the 2008 RNC I met you at the Ron Paul Delegate Reception

and many others! Once you meet someone, you gradually connect their moniker to their given name, and here in Oregon we are still all working together for the cause of Liberty.
I do have email contact with quite a few that I met during the 2008 RNC and I have met some of them in person. Fishy and Mark were delegates from Idaho, and I met them at some of the Idaho events as well. ("Someday", Lord willing and the crick don't rise, I am going to shock Fishy by accepting her invitation to "soak buns" in one of the wonderful hot springs in Idaho)
I met some of the DP friends in person at a Liberty event in Reno last year, and enjoyed seeing them again at the Ron Paul campaign event in Vancouver, WA. We met again, standing in the pouring rain from the hurricane passing through at Whiskey Joes in Tampa Florida last fall!
Daily Paul is where so many of us go to find the latest world news. We also learn from each other the things that will be important to survive the economic downturn.
You started this website to support Ron Paul, and it is changing as needed to support those of us who have educated ourselves in the past few years.
Thank You!!

Geographical challenges

Kinda hard from Nuuk, Greenland. But if any DP'ers ever make it this far north, my door will be open :)

Even Greenland knows what's going on!

Woa. You're in Greenland,

Woa. You're in Greenland, really?! Well, who'd make this up, anyway? ;)

Encouraging, though:

Now that's WORLD WIDE craving for liberty!

I love your signature, about that, too. :)

Hell, you can even find Constitutionalists and DPers from California - yes, even! - which isn't exactly to be taken for granted these days...

Long live liberty!

Stay "cool" :)

Yup!

Born and raised Greenlandic native. (Well, partially at least. Got that colonial Danish heritage as well, but who here is 100% native to the country in which they live?)

Thanks man, and keep posting! I've noticed you around here :)

Does it look like Global Warming from up there?

How much ice melt are you seeing?

Cycles

Well, the glaciers are retreating and this winter is very dry. But, as we all know, this little planet works in cycles. We're in a warm period.

Doesn't mean we shouldn't rationalize our natural resources, we just have to remember to do it for the right reasons.

Even Greenland knows what's going on!

how is the sea kayaking up there?

I've always wanted to kayak in Greenland

Future kayaker

As a future kayaker, I expect it to be amazing. :)

There's quite a culture for kayaking here, both in south and north Greenland. Look up Greenland.com's promotional videos for the purpose.

Don't expect to see a political system based on liberty though.

Even Greenland knows what's going on!

Evidently not

Noone willing to respond to a recent post, good, bad, or otherwise.I guess this means my reception rating will drop. Woe is me

Rode up a lift with a Daily Pauler last week

... He noticed my Ron Paul sticker on my 174cm Never Summer Legacy snowboard / I told him to check out the Daily Paul and he said he was a member ! How can I search the member list for "rbruce" or similar? I wished I'd got a phone number but on good snow days I'm "in the zone" :)

No, and I am very very sad about that.

We need to hold our own "Liberty Fest" weekend in Phoenix -- Nice and Sunny 70 day today!

Perhaps we can create Meetup for just DP people in each city.

Hi Treg, You and I met but

Hi Treg,
You and I met but not because of the DP. You turned me onto the DP though one night when we were watching a debate in 2007. Been hooked ever since!

This place and the people

Have changed my life ! It has been an on going education. There are many, many people I have "met" here who I would welcome into my home and I know they would do the same for me.
Thank you Michael for making this possible.
