Why doesn't Rand ever fully smile?

I know, I know, it's a stupid question but as a former dental assistant I wonder if he is ashamed of his teeth? His smile almost never reaches his eyes. Just sayin . . .

Our culture has a nasty habit of fake smiles. It's as bad as fake laughs. So people not abusing it is actually a bit of a relief to me.

I'm from New Jersey and sarcasm is a requirement in order to live there. The problem is when you move to other parts of the country, people don't understand it; they think you are mean.

Those sorts of people need to make a cup of camomile tea, and lighten up.

There goes the sarcasm again. Actually I really like it.

ps: I spoke to Rand for awhile at Cato (sorry, had no idea what I was getting in to) last summer, and I think he has a great smile. :)

I spent many years in the midwest where people give each other a hard time just because. People in the northwest just don't get it at all. It is interesting how humor is so different in different parts of the country.
