I do not understand the

excitement from anti-Israel folks. Hagel admitted that he was wrong about his comments regarding Israel. Unless you applaude someone for being a liar to secure a nomination, I see no point of cheering.

US & Israel relationship is very strong. All USA presidents, from Reagan to Jimmy Carter to Obama, are Zionists - they support existence of Israel with securable borders. Arabs and anti-Semites do not.

Rand Paul voted FOR him...

... traitor???? I am disappointed because Ron Paul said he didn't like him. Oh well..

Here is his explanation!

Ron Paul said....

... that he probably supports drown strikes and that he would just go along with the foreign policy of The neo-cons and Obama. ButRand Paul showed he is independant which is good.

Thats not true

Ron Paul said he would vote for Hagel

Might Wanna Catch Up...

... this is Ron Paul's show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZJ52LDqVkY&feature=player_em... Doesn't sound like he is too fond of him here. LOL

Rand Paul is no Ron Paul

Yes, the president does get to pick his own appointees.

Yes, Hagel is a perceived peace candidate.

But I think you need to vote simply on whether he is right for the job or not. If nothing else, abstain.

And Hagel is qualified....

so what's your point.

Could be worse

Hagel is probably the least bad appointee that Obama would come up with.

wait a minute

ron paul said on geraldo that he probably would vote for him if he was in the senate. said he echoed some of his sentiments. said the neocons were against him. i'm pleased to hear rand came to his senses on this (not that hagel is any great shakes) but at least he isn't war thirsty..

You Must Not Of Seen This Man...

he says

nothing there about how he would finally vote, but had you kept up, you would have heard him later (on geraldo) say that he would probably vote for him if he was in the senate.

Your Right....

... and that is exactly what I said in the comment above, that Ron Paul doesn't like Hagel. I said nothing about how he would vote.

he said both

positive & negative things about him. ron paul never says he doesn't like someone, not even bernanke.

& i'll tell you this. i'm glad rand voted for him (maybe after talking to his dad), but
regardless how he voted he would have his supporters here vigorously defending his vote.

What Makes Me Mad...

... is the Rand haters here who expect perfection and NO COMPROMISE. Well if they want no compromise why are you ripping him apart for supporting the Hagel filibuster??? Hagel supported the Iraq war, reinstating the draft, and is still unclear on drone strikes and they want him to support him? I say hypocrite!!! (not exactly you but others)

i think this term hater

is overused, and misused. to actually hate someone is pretty strong. you can disagree with someone completely and still not hate them. i would like to see a peace candidate in 2016

You Are Right...

... the term hater is very strong. And when people here F Rand Paul and call him certain names I consider hating. I respect people who disagree but when you get into f-ing people out I consider them haters.

& you are right

in the urban dictionary sense of the term.
